Manager Food & Beverages Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Makes taking card payments on the go EASY" September 2, 2019 5.0 Now that we can take card payments for our small retail outlet we have noticed a distinct increase in our takings, people are happy to spend more when they don't worry about carrying cash it seems. iZettle has also been very easy to use and therefore train staff who were dubious about using contactless card machines. Pros Very easy to down load the app to a mobile phone and to set the card reader up. A neat, compact bit of kit, fairly basic but it does all the functions of taking payments. Works equally well at taking contactless payments as chip & pin methods. Cons There isn't actually anything about iZettle that I didn't like. I suppose the inclusion of a receipt printer would have been good, but for us not necessary. It's​ easy to use and highly secured also you can send money to your family and friends. Using Paypal is more advisable than Bank credit cards. It's a ​very mobile friendly. Cons The challenges you may find is frozen accounts. PayPal may freeze your account upon any suspicious transaction. I've always thought of PayPal as being for Ebay only but I've begun using it more than other paying applications (like Venmo). Transactions are fast! You can request money / payments from anyone with an email. I know also paypal as a pay me link that is available for easy payments and adjustable amounts. Although a couple things I do not like. Cons The fees are kind of higher then some of the other competitor products. Not something I use daily but for convenience when requesting money and easy and fast on deposits, fees just kill it. November 26, 2018 5.0 I use it in my office and at customers locations to accept payments, and now that I have the reader, I also use it with my personal account to accept payments for my kids fundraisers. The fees are very reasonable in comparison to others. Pros It's quick and easy to accept payments anywhere you can get wifi or cell signal. Cons If you don't use the app often, you have to keep signing back in with your password. While this is understandable for security, it can be a hassle. There is an option to recognize your fingerprint on equipped devices, but you can't easily switch between multiple accounts and retain fingerprint security. Overall, a very minor inconvenience. When that choice is open, I always take it, and it has saved me money. Cons I placed an order for something I saw online and never received it; I attempted to contact the merchant twice but received no response. I filed a lawsuit on the Paypal website, and after they attempted to contact the company, I reopened the case. It worked very nicely and the software is pretty straightforward. I don't think there's a way to upload a list of parts (at least when i used it) which makes it a bit tougher to add new items from your smart phone (esp if you have lots of them). They gave the device that attaches to the smartphone out for free too so I appreciated that. Cons I wish there was a check off button that allowed me to send the receipt to other e-mail addresses. Maybe even an option that user declines receipt. Adding Sales Tax was a bit of difficult in certain scenarios so I always wished they improved on that. Last, I never got a device that attaches to the lighting port of an apple device. Maybe if I did I'd use it more... Review Source Arran I.
