Host/Producer Entertainment Used the software for: 2+ years ### "A Great Way to Accept Credit Cards With Your Cell Phone" May 7, 2020 5.0 I subscribe to another credit card processor, but all transactions must take place via the terminal in my office. With Pay Pal Here, I can accept a transaction anywhere else and then transfer the funds manually into my business checking account. Convenience is the main reason I use Pay Pal Here. Pros Pay Pal Here allows me to accept credit cards for my business using my cell phone either with the accompanying dongle or via inputting the card info on my touch screen. Cons The only con I have is that transactions over $500 have very long holds placed on them before the funds are available. Review Source EW Emily W. My transactions have all gone smoothly, thankfully. i like being able to use my paypal account for purchases online instead of adding my banking info. Pros I love how quick money gets transferred to my checking account and that i can keep tabs on every transaction within the app. Cons The fees are a little high, considering the frequency that i use it but overall a pretty decent resource. Cons On the PayPal mobile app, it would be nice to be able to access the full settings to my account if any changes need to be made without having to go to a computer to make those changes. It is easy to store as a matter of fact I could put in in my pocket if I wanted to! When I do my my book sale events it comes in handy because some people like paid with their debt or credit card, and some don't have cash on hand. The payments go straight to my palpal business account and the fees are a dream come true. Cons The only thing I do not like it the fact that I even though you may have a basic paypal account you have to signup for a paypal business account to use this device. Pros I love using PayPal here for some of my side businesses. I recently used it during a yard sale and was able to make more money by allowing access to use debit cards. Really great features that allow for tax inclusion of prices. Cons The reader sometimes has a hard time picking up the card. But a little patience helps resolve this issue. Pros I like that the card reader is easy to use in my ipad when selling products at an event, and how easy it is to update products/prices as needed. Cons Like anything, there are times it glitches and doesn't work perfectly - i've had a couple of times where it wouldn't take a card for a few swipes and that can be frustrating for both me and the customer waiting. Cons If you are in an area with spotty internet or mobile network coverage, this can be more headache than helpful. Pros The app is very easy to use with my small business. Paypal is also widely accepted and easily identifiable. I like the option of sending receipts directly through the app. I like the option of loading an item catalog for quick access sales. Cons The app doesn't save customer information or card information. For manual card entries, it can take an extra minute or so.
