It was so easy to use and the fact that they could sign with their finger was an added bonus. We had this on both an iPhone and an iPad at different times. Both super easy to use. You can link various bank accounts and transfer money for free (normally in one business day). It is easy to track money in versus money out of your PayPal account. Also, if you are making an Ebay sale or purchase information about the transaction is linked to the payment in the app. This is very handy for Ebay sellers--you can even check the tracking of the items you have shipped to your buyers. Cons Like many companies, PayPal is trying to increase user engagement and so the bottom half of the home screen of their app is dedicated to their various offers/investing/other services that most people will not use. Pros I was able to picture and number all of the silent auction items and when customers were checking out the process was simple and easy. I also love that the name is well known, so I know it's legit, whereas I would be wary to use another app that I hadn't heard of. I also do a lot of purchasing for work (a small company) and it's so much easier to link our paypal account instead of having to ask for and keep a credit card onfile. Cons Can't think of any drawbacks. As a tool for work, it's fantastic. As a tool for personal use, I love it because of it's convenience factor. Pros Simple. Enter your items and prices. Sell items accepting almost any payment method, create invoices, receipts. Inexpensive credit card readers available that connect to your smart device for chip or swipe entry. Cons Not designed for big business or large inventories. Cumbersome to enter a large inventory of items. The option to add items by scanning barcodes would be very helpful. I think paypal is replacing this product with a new one called Zettle.
