January 9, 2018 4.0 We do a lot of small craft fair / convention stuff and having more options for payments means that people are more likely to feel comfortable paying you when they can use an option they trust. So it is no bother for us to have more than one gateway to accept payment. That being said if you have one system that controls your inventory and you have a large inventory it may not be as easy for you to sync everything to several gateways. Also it would be nice if PayPal offered teh bottom of their barrel swiper for free the way some others do. Pros Here is an extra app from PayPal that takes up no room on your device, connects to your PayPal account and gives you more options for how to get paid, which makes more clients comfortable. They have several card readers that are really affordable and there are no extra hoops to jump through just log in to your PayPal account and you have a tiny POS. Cons The only con here for me is that you have to pay for a card reader. Other small POS gateways will send you one for free but Paypal will cost you. Review Source JB Jordan B. Pros When I decided I wanted to sell ebooks directly from my website to my readers, I needed the ability to receive funds in a safe and secure manner. Paypal offers peace of mind, to both me and my reader. Cons I wish the fees that the seller has to pay weren't so high, particularly if the sale is only 99c. Cons The fees are a bit steep but I've managed to get used to it in comparison to other less expensive but buggy types. Not also international transactions friendly. Before they introduced this, I had to use Square to take payments in person. I hated having separate accounts. It makes things much simpler for my accounting. Pros It is very easy to use. It is an important ally when travel internationally. The payments are instantly and you could select several options as credit card, bank accounts, so on. I use it always in airports to pay for internet and when I think the page it is nor secure to put my credit card information directly. Most people used contactless payment and were excited they could use such an up and coming payment method with an account they had already set up. The people charging did not require a large amount of training. I would have liked to have more information about what items were sold and more about the timing and traffic of transactions as they happened, but it was great for a situation that normally does not retail items. Once you have an account with them it is excellent Cons There is another company that places the funds in your account the same day without waiting. In addition, because of the company policy, you can lose your money if you are scammed or if the person changes their mind. It can take up to 3 months to clear your funds or have your merchandise returned to you. It is a blessing and a curse.
