June 5, 2020 5.0 In my home we can pay money on PayPal so we wont get sick or infected easily. Pros PayPal was one of the FIRST paying apps I ever used because I was scared I was gonna get hacked. But everything ended up great. All I had to do was just adding some personal information and I was done. It is a really popular app without hackers stealing money or scams. The Paypal Here app lets me interact with customers at the point of sale and meet both their needs as purchaser and my business needs as retailer. Cons I haven't compared in a bit but do believe the fees are just a bit more than a popular competitor? I would have to do some more research to make sure that is still the case. Pros I love how easy is it to set up a PayPal account and to process transactions with the PayPal app. Cons The transaction fee is higher than most merchant transaction fees; however I would rather pay the higher transaction fee because of their functionalities and customer service. Lots of time the apt in the phone is not working and you have to delete it and reload. Then it did not connect with the card reader so you wind up inputting the card numbers by hand. I think this is a problem with Apple phones. Pros Take a credit card anywhere as long as you have a cell phone. It is directly tied to you PayPal account. Cons The link to a reader does not work well with iPhones. Had to remove the APT form the phone and reload it into the phone. You also have much more options than you do with other devices, such as PayPal account payment, checks, etc. Even the signature pad seems easier to use and more responsive than other apps. Cons It does seem to require a stronger signal than something like SquareUp, but it has not caused a problem for me yet.
