SmartDeploy helped us in that regard. Pros Ease of use. Fair pricing. Easy hand-off, from initial setup with a Sys Adm to training a Technical Analyst to deploy. Cons Better audit reporting would be nice. A dashboard for overall deployed hardware would be nice also. Review Source DB Danny B. Everything you need in one compact interface. The customer support is VERY responsive! Cons I've had several issues of errors stopping my console from running. It's hindered the performance of SmartDeploy off and on for the last year. To be fair, these issues may be specific to me and my environment but none-the-less it needs to be noted. The problem is that they don't really tell you how to finalize the cloud integration. Cons I dislike the lack of documentation. Then when you try to get customer support, it takes forever to get an issue resolved. It feels like you have to explain the issue in multiple emails before you get a response that actually help. Cuts our imaging time down to a minimum Cons My only con is that it can be quite pricey. Even for a non profit pricing. I wish there was a way to buy the software out right and pay support. IT Admin Education Management Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Best Windows Imaging Software on the Market " January 29, 2019 5.0 One of my favorite tools in my arsenal as an IT Admin Pros \-Cloud Imaging through multiple providers like Google Drive and Box.com -Built in MDM for managing devices to view system info and remotely install applications -Amazing answer file support -Multiple ways of deploying images to machines, you can use local storage like an external hard drive, pxe boot or use a usb to boot into the SmartDeploy environment. -Driver packs make deployment a breeze I would highly recommend SmartDeploy to anyone looking to image and maintain a large amount of windows PC's Cons Wish it didn't use Microsoft Silverlight Review Source SD Seth D. Especially since our environment is obligated to apply security patches frequently it allows me to update the deployment image effectively and efficiently. It really is a great product supported by a great team. Pros The driver packs are put together for me. The answer file creation is simple. Super easy and adding some great features! Pros Easy to use the software and great features! Cons the application deployment could use some better explanation to describe how build a custom package. February 18, 2019 5.0 It was a very smooth process overall from sales, onboarding to implementation of SmartDeploy. Would never go back to the old manual way of setting up a new PC. October 21, 2019 4.0 Before smart deploy, we were manually reimaging machines with WDS. We were going to each machine to reimage. We ar enow able to reimage remotely from our office. Pros The easy to use interface. It is laid out and well and is very easy to navigate. Cons The wireless imaging works MOST of the time, but not always. Review Source PS Param S. Albeit, I used to manually configure OS from scratch using the manufacturer restore DVD. The Platform Packs was another great feature that made me go with SmartDeploy. All in all, amazing product. Making one image for different brands of machines has also saved us a lot of time. Our previous method would take an hour or so and you would have to push software after the fact which would delay the roll out further. We have went from 2 days to 4 hours for a computer going out. Cons Getting the VM for the image set up was a bit tricky. Just follow their directions to the T and it will be fine. The use of the software is very easy to learn. The times I have had questions or needed a driver pack to be created, the customer support team has been prompt to resolve my issues. Overall, very happy with the switch we made from our previous Image Deployment Software to this product Pros It just works! One base image works with all different models of computers. Downloading the driver packs is very easy as is creating deployment media. Cons The ability to gather an image from a legacy machine to store for later need Review Source TP Tom P. Pros Love the idea of a virtual image that can be easily edited. Cons The cost is the only drawback. I wish it could be less then I would buy more licenses. Their support team is very quick to answer and it was easy to get in touch with them when I was having connectivity issues. Pros All of the features included with SmartDeploy make the whole package a bargain. They included access to tons of pre-made packages to accelerate your ability to roll out to your endpoints, and the process of creating your own custom packages is very easy. Cons I would like to be able to set up my SmartDeploy repository on a network location. Unless I've missed something, it needs you to specify a local folder to create all of the files on, and the space can add up fast. Review Source SO Sebastian O. It has great video tutorials and customer support. Its nice that when you are imaging or creating a image for mass deployment that you can download all the driver packs for what ever PC you are going to deploy to, and trust me its nice coming for Quest Kace. Also creating an golden image is easy with setup by set instructions. Cons It doesn't support software deployment from it, must look for an alternative solution. Review Source JA Joe A. February 18, 2019 5.0 Smart deploy technical support Is very helpful when you get a hold of them. From setup to imaging they were able to walk us through any issues we had starting our first image. After learning how to start an image adding or removing software was easy to do. Pros What I like most about this software is the ability to create a virtual clone and add the packs for the different model type. It saves a bit of time deploying images to machines who need a refresh. The software is easy to use and after 10 times of using it I pretty much have it down to setup imaging surfaces. Cons With every new software, there are challenges that have to be overcome when you setup it up for the first time. We had some issues getting the images to work and had to contact tech support while it took a few tries we were finally able to get everything working. Review Source TO Tiernan O. Using it to re-image a few devices for a client we found it simple and easy to setup. You can easily setup a source image in Hyper-V, capture it and then download a driver pack from the massive library of drivers. Excellent tool and has become our go to tool for imaging. Pros Easy to use, simple interface which can be expanded once you dig a little deeper. Cons Didn't find too many cons apart from the fact it's maybe not as expansive as SCCM Review Source JS Joe S.
