Support has been responsive and helpful. There has been upgrades and enhances some of which I have not even taken advantage of yet. Online videos are also very good for many questions. On top of that Brokermint is very cost competitive with many competitors and much less expensive with a lot. Pros BrokerMint offers a very comprehensive software to manage your real estate operations. It is very simple to navigate and flexible in many areas to your specific systems. It does offer good tracking of sales associates' production, commissions and allows for multiple commission schedule options. Ability for agents and staff to access transactions from mobile devices is good. Pipeline report of closed and pending transactions is great and the ability to create your own reports is a plus. Cons While the available reports and the option to create your own reports is good the layout or printed option of these reports is less than desirable. Even if you modify column widths or eliminate some data getting the printed layout you want so you can share the data is only fair. Worked well for file storage, but there are other platforms out there that do the same thing for less money Pros Okay, not super well organized. You need to be able to set up your own customized reporting features since the standard ones don't work that well. Cons Their customer service is a joke and their reps are not friendly or easy to work with. Minimum 30 days notice to cancel and you have to play phone tag with them to do so, you can't just email them. So right now it is making our lives easier by outlining and streamlining our processes. Pros I love the way it tracks transactions and I can set up multiple commission levels, as well as add in corporate fees, etc. The transaction checklists also make life easier for the office admin to stay on top of coordinating everything. Cons I can't think of anything right off that it is missing. As we move forward with it, I am sure we will find things that might be needed, but right now we are building our team back office functions around it. I hate only having two options because then we are stuck with those two. If you appear less than 100% positive in the support forums or share your frustrations in a constructive manner, the admins will disable your ability to post or comment on threads. This demonstrates a company with a dysfunctional culture and one that does not align with the values of our organization. If they would listen to the constructive feedback, BrokerMint could truly be something special (I truly believe that). Unfortunately, they are slow to respond to simple things and their actions are alienating customers. Pros It has the potential to be an amazing platform as it has all the right elements. Cons While it has all the right elements, the user interface is clunky, not intuitive and the result is a tremendous learning curve even for the most tech-savvy real estate professional. A great example of their unusual UI is that all transactions have to either be "pending" or a "listing." If you are preparing an offer to submit to a listing agent, it has to go into the system as a "pending" file, even though it is not. This skews your analytics since you will show a closed/lost rate that is artificially inflated. But wait, there is more. Need to prepare a referral agreement!? Yup, you guessed it -- pending transaction! That is just one of the issues I have with BrokerMint that has lead me to pull the plug at the end of our first contract. Populating signatures and dates should be much more automated through templates. Also, one of the fields that you should let me drop onto a line would be name of one of the principles. Right now I have to text. Enter names when you do not auto populate the name. Pros I like that all of the documentation associated with a file can be managed well. It’s easy to have signed documents end up in the folder. Cons The auto population of signatures and dates is really bad. Writing an offer takes twice as long as it did using my old system. We have been happy with it since using this program. Pros Customer service online chat is great. Unlimited space is amazing. Love the lists we can assign docs to. Easy to look up past files. Easy to download anything scanned to a file. Easy to assign agents and enter data. Cons It would be nice, as the office admin, if I created a new "private" contact (seller/buyer) for an agent, who I appointed "Transaction owner" on their transaction, if the program would also let the agent edit this contact person later on. Instead it greys it out and they are unable to edit the contact on their end unless the contact is set to "public" I think the office admins and the agent named the "transaction owner" should be able to edit all contacts added if set to "private" Many of our agents have been upset about this. I feel like even if the office admin adds a contact for an agent, states the contact belongs that agent, the agent as the transaction owner should be able to edit the contact at any time instead of being blocked from it. Other than that, we love this program. I think both the office admins and the transaction owner should be able to edit a private contact that is assigned to them. Thank you. Locked into an extremely overpriced system, limited support, and bottom line Brokermint was incapable of doing some of the bare minimum requirements. We found it to be very limiting in what it does while also being very complicated in each step and high priced on top of it all. Pros I liked that Brokermint integrated with other programs well Cons Brokermint was extremely limiting. We encountered several instances where the software would not allow us to track finances correctly resulting in our numbers always being off. When creating commission disbursement documents you can only break it down into a few categories. If you run teams with different individual splits you will be required to complete the figures on your own and then input them in an override. This proved to be extremely time consuming for our brokerage. I attempted to work through these issues several times with customer service. We paid over $800 a month to be left dissatisfied with the results. We have since switched to a new transaction system that costs $300 a month and has been extremely easy to use, records/financial numbers are completely up to date and accurate. CDA’s are made in a breeze with several categories and options for breakdowns for different cap levels and splits. When creating a CDA you would need to toggle between two different areas and the system did not allow for this easily. Our new system allows us to view all items connected to the transaction from one page. I have been with Brokermint for 7 years and they will not allow me to export my contacts, transaction data, documents, or anything other than a report on closed transactions. January 25, 2018 5.0 The ability to store and organize files, to easily access data and run reports, and the ability to create checklists to stay on top of files. Pros I love the ability to easily create checklists and assign them to various people. It's easy to upload documents and run reports, too. Cons It is not easily integrated with other major software companies, such as dotloop. This makes it difficult to communicate with other teams or offices, especially to share documents. We are a team within a real estate office. Our office uses dotloop, but our team prefers Brokermint. The problem we face is that it is impossible to share data between the platforms, so I have to duplicate the work in order to use our team preference and also send files via dotloop with the office staff. I wish Brokermint allowed actual documents (not just links) to be emailed out. If they could enable that feature, then I would be able to email documents directly into dotloop, which would make Brokermint a much better product overall! Review Source OP Olga P.
