" April 27, 2024 5.0 I used the coaching service to connect with experts to help me with really difficult problems. But overall I used the wealth of online tutorials and the excellent forum to help with creating my app. Very happy to just be working on UX fixes now! Pros I used Bubble to create the app that runs logistics and operations for my startup. In order to get the app off the ground, we would've needed to pay thousands of dollars that we didn't have to have professional coders create the app for us. I took the imitative to learn and code through Bubble, and we saved so much money creating the app ourselves. Now it works and we are launched! We see that all the investments that the company receives, they put into improving the tool itself, the feature quality and public interest. Also, we really like how they help people learn how to use it properly and improve the flaws the community sometimes points out. I have been using it for more than 5 years now, and I haven't found a better alternative, and probably won't be have to in the upcoming years. Cons It could be a bit faster in loading time. The bubble is the fastest way to develop a prototype to validate your business idea with no code. Pros I can integrate and call APIs from AWS Cloud very easily. Bubble allows me to control the App responsiveness to make it align to different UIs. Also, I like that I can create a duplicate from my project as a backup and restore it whenever needed. Cons Bubble is really expensive and the free trial does not allow to integrate any APIs. I don't like the database in bubble as it is very restricted and does not allow any customizations. Also, It is a little bit slow to preview image and files hosted on bubble servers. It allows me to launch quick MVPs to see their potential impact. Having the option to \*almost\* completely customize by using also custom code. Having plugins and integrations is very powerful. Cons \- Performance is not always perfect and needs to be an expert to optimize the project to make sure the performance is optimal. - Some elements are a bit limited in terms of customization. Pros The almost infinite set of options, I haven't encountered yet a use case I couldn't solve with Bubble. Cons The mobile part. While with the new responsive engine we can create easily mobile version, I would've loved to have more options to deploy the apps into the main stores. We are currently creating the second prototype and testing it on the market. The fast customizability of workflows and designs makes it well adapted to the pace of today's world. The learning curve is quite flat at the beginning, but it takes some time to really master bubble. In any case, it was worth it to choose bubble. Pros The best thing about Bubble is that you can make changes quickly and that you learn it extremely fast. Cons This is nitpicking, but there are some native styling controls that are missing if you're familiar with web development, for eg. strikethrough for text, CSS grid (huge, there are pseudo-workarounds, but not quite). I was told by a software development firm I am considering engaging that my (partially completed) work in Bubble has saved me around $30,000. Pros I liked Bubble because of its ease of use. I taught myself how to use it in order to build a semi-sophisticated fintech platform prototype. But once I got the hang of it, I am really impressed the scale and complexity of apps it allows me to create without actually knowing how to write code. Pros I am able to build software, which includes design (with brand colors through-out the app design), use databases to store data, connect with external and internal APIs. Cons That in the backend workflow, I cannot set a "wait until previous step is completed" action. So, the workflow steps execute without waiting for the previous steps to complete. Making changes can be done and deployed in no time.
