### "My favorite vector design tool"

December 5, 2020

5.0

Sketch makes app and web design a walk in the park compared to trying without it. I've had a great experience with the functionality of the tool, and with the company itself.

Pros

Sketch is my favorite vector design tool. It doesn't cost too much at ninety-ninety dollars per year and is more than adequate, functionally. Even after compared with adobe suite. My favorite part is the focus on UI design. Templates are a cool feature also. Not to mention plugins, which save seem like the save my life at times.

Cons

It would be preferable if shortcuts were easier to use or similar to the ones from Adobe. Also coy-pasting vectors are troublesome to import. Despite its few problems, Sketch is one of my favorite tools, which I use everyday and prefer even over PSD.

### "Awesome Web and Mobile Mockup Tool"

October 9, 2018

5.0

Pros

I use Sketch exclusively for website design. I previously used Photoshop/Illustrator, however Sketch is much easier to use and integrate.

Cons

Takes a little bit of getting used to, as some of the hotkeys and controls (like quick selecting a layer or item) aren't the same as Adobe products (which is the standard). The learning curve was short though, but jumping between Adobe and Sketch can sometimes be confusing.

### "Soon to die out …"

September 29, 2022

4.0

Not a bad software, but so many better ones out there. Figma is the way to go, slowly taking over the number 1 spot.

Pros

It was very simple and easy to use. Upon first opening it I could already get the hang of how to create wireframes, especially if you have previous experience then it will be natural.

Cons

However, because it simple and intuitive, you’re limited in what you can do. Plug-ins and creating interactive prototypes, even just how much you can do with your wireframes are all limited with Sketch.

### "Absolutely solid, but not the simplest of tools"

February 9, 2021

5.0

Used this in almost all our digital projects if programming was going to be involved at all - web sites, web apps, mobile applications. Changed our whole process to the better.

Pros

Versatile and effective - Sketch is amazing at giving tech product a visual to work off of. There a countless ways to make a website or app (or other tech deliverables) come to life for easy reference/review and then the actual building of an asset, using pieces right out of Sketch.

Cons

Can be complicated/complex for people to understand if they're not very technically inclined. Definitely has quite the learning curve and interface isn't always the most intuitive.

### "This saves me dollars every month."

April 11, 2018

4.0

Pros

I can design pixel perfect web layouts with flair and efficiency. It was not a huge learning curve either since I use Adobe Illustrator as well and many of the tools are the same.

Cons

Sketch is not as vast as Illustrator, I still need Illustrator for other design jobs and some of the shortcuts I would think were universal for most Apps don't translate to this in Sketch.

### "Great for Crafting"

March 8, 2019

5.0

Pros

I enjoy this application for my crafting hobbies. I create vector images in order to transfer on t-shirts and/or decals. It is easy to navigate and helps me accomplish what I want to get done.

Cons

I wish it were free to use, but I understand why it isn’t.

### "Sketch Fanboy"

September 19, 2018

5.0

Pros

Don't discredit me. I love Sketch. I'm a UX designer and this is the tool I've always used. It's simple, clean, easy, robust, and the plugins are what make this program what it is.

Cons

I wish the vector drawing capabilities were a bit better. I don't want to open up Illustrator or Photoshop and just use Sketch but it's not as powerful when it comes to vector art.

### "Good tool for creating interfaces"

March 30, 2019

5.0

We use Sketch to develop prototypes of our websites and then it's very easy to start developing web page which is based on this design.

Pros

\- It's easy to create interfaces, UI elements and prototypes, everything is vector based and scalable - You can have different boards for different windows of your website or app - You can preview your design just like it will be in browser - Sketch supports uploading your designs to cloud and share between colleagues and teammates - Boards have templates and can emulate browser or device canvas - Plugins are supported and you can even write your own script to automate actions

Cons

\- It's only working on MacOS, you can't run Sketch on Windows or Linux - You should renew your license every year

### "Great Product, Bad Customer Support."

April 3, 2018

4.0

Pros

Overall it's a great product, I've moved from photoshop and illustrator to sketch for some time and I just loved it.

Cons

No tool is perfect, sketch has it fair share of bugs but there's always patch or update for it. Personally, I had a bad time with customer support. I lost my product key and I email customer support, since then I got no reply at all.

### "Interface design tool"

July 12, 2020

5.0

An excellent option for creating interfaces for those who can invest a little more and have a compatible system.

Pros

It has an intelligent library that allows you to preserve and share resources between projects such as symbols, images, texts and styles. Another highlight is the large number of plugins available.

Cons

It does not allow simulating prototypes directly in the tool, requiring the support of other software. Besides that, it does not allow you to work simultaneously with other people on the same document and it is also not compatible with all operating systems.

### "Essential software for your software development"

November 11, 2022

4.0

Pros

When your team has a designer, who can create your software's full design book into Skecth, you are on a good path! Sketch allows you to create vast libraries of design elements, from which you can easily build new pages or elements for your app. For us Sketch is essential. It easy enough for all of our team, but of course, to master it, you need to educate yourself a bit. I am pretty sure all designers knows how to use it, then it is up to rest of the team.

Cons

Search feature could work a little better. This might also be something that needs to be done on the set-up phase, and use the right keywords but sometimes it is harder to find specific things from large repositories. Also, sometimes, even when logged in, the software does not let you in without re-login. A minor flaw but this sometimes happens.

### "Strong Core Product Slowly Catching Up to Cloud-Era"

August 7, 2022

5.0

Pros

Sketch as a product is strong. It's easy to do product design and vector graphics all in one and has a really rich design toolset. Though the barrier to entry in learning can be a little steep for some, it's a really powerful product.

Cons

The biggest feature that I feel is missing is a better cloud experience. There's not a real collaborative experience and version management with the cloud is still very lacking.

### "Superseded by better alternatives"

January 11, 2023

4.0

Sketch is decent, but it's difficult to justify using it now that tools like Figma exist. Figma does a better job in almost every field, and therefore as an overall tool Sketch remains a runner-up. On the other hand, if you have to use it, or if the team has a preference for it, you won't have any problems.

Pros

Sketch used to be the go-to tool for app design - it still has all the features you need to put together great UI and layouts for screens.

Cons

There are just better options available now - Figma does a better job as an all-rounder, ProtoPie is better for prototyping, and even Adobe XD is decent.

### "Great for UI Design"

March 28, 2018

4.0

Pros

Sketch works great for designing user interfaces and is a great, cheap alternative to Adobe's products but delivers most of the same features and some more.

Cons

Sketch can be difficult to navigate for a life long Photoshop or Illustrator user. The basics are the same but there is still a learning curve that comes with any new software.

### "One of the leading design tools in the industry"

September 27, 2019

5.0

Sketch has been truly an invaluable tool that helped us create mockups and wireframes.

Pros

It's extremely easy to create design mockups and the support of community plugins makes it very easy to tailor it to your design needs.

Cons

The biggest disadvantage of Sketch is the lack of versions for other systems such as Windows. It's great for Mac users, though.

### "Simple as paint"

January 16, 2019

5.0

I would definitely recommend it as a default paint for Mac users.

Pros

I think it’s the best tool for designers and regular users for creating simple UX interfaces. It supports many many different plugins which allows to make setup which is suatable for your project.

Cons

I cannot say that it has some cons, because even price is adequate, but there is one — there is no version for Windows(

### "it helps conversation between developers and designers"

November 1, 2018

5.0

Pros

I'm a developer and I do like Sketch because it's really easy to get every information to build the UI of Apps and websites. I (almost) don't need to interact with designers anymore

Cons

it's not a cons of the product but maybe of the designer that creates files: it's important to keep files really light because it drains your RAM

### "Prototype Tool"

June 24, 2019

4.0

The software is very precise and there is a community of users that you can bounce ideas and design. BUT the preview prototyping preview needs the bugs worked out.

Pros

It's a very precise technical and designing tool.

Cons

The prototyping preview has glitches and bugs that need to be worked out. I know it's fairly new but does not introduce it unless it's working 95% off the time do not waste our time.

### "Nice software for web page design excellent to make used in work organizations One of the best tools"

June 27, 2018

5.0

Pros

In particular it is a better tool than Adobe Xl, it has a number of resources to facilitate the work of designers. Sketch is software that does not require large storage on the computer and helps the performance of your creations.

Cons

Improve a little bit with respect to the updates since in occasions it presents faults. It can take some time in adaptation but from its use the complexity of the product gives you great help.

### "The best friend for any UI designer! :)"

February 14, 2018

5.0

The BEST ever design tool!

Pros

If your daily routine is creating new UI design then Sketch app is the best choice you can choose! And together with many plugins, it becomes even more powerful. I switched to Sketch after 5 years of using Photoshop, and I never regretted :)

Cons

The only issue for me is a subscription model of Sketch, so each year you have to pay for it. Anyway, this software worth every penny.
