### "A little hard to use out of the box - but a great tool"

January 30, 2019

5.0

Pros

We used sketch to map out a new website- it was good because we could all share and map what went where.

Cons

I thought it was a little hard to use at first, but got the hang of it. Its pretty complex for the cost- and its very useful.

### "Good tool for UI/UX designs"

December 10, 2019

4.0

Desing and prototyping user interface for web designs is easy with Sketch. However, things can be improved.

Pros

Sketch provides a customaizable user interface which is very helpful from moving from other tools to Sketch. It also support keyboard short cuts as well as plugins make the creating UIs easier.

Cons

Prototyping in Sketch is far behind when compared to Adobe XD. Also, Adobe XD has the abiltiy to share prototypes with custoemrs, developers easily.

### "Sketch is the top program when it comes to UX/UI"

December 3, 2019

4.0

Sketch is great. If it can create a better way to transfer specs, I would have no complaint.

Pros

Sketch has almost everything a designer needs to create beautiful and intuitive designs with ease.

Cons

The one thing this program is lacking is the ability to easily transfer specs over to developers. This is a big offset for the program.

### "Sketch - Pretty Good for What it Is"

November 30, 2019

4.0

Tried to use it to see how it compares to other tools for graphic designers. Once again I'll stick to my standards like Photoshop and Illustrator.

Pros

I liked how the free trial was a full 30 days rather then a short free trial. The software is somewhat easy to understand.

Cons

I feel as a designer who is so use to Adobe Software its hard for me to make the switch since there is no major benefit. I will continue to use Photoshop / Illustrator for my design tools.

### "Excellent design software"

August 18, 2018

5.0

I’ve been using Sketch for web design and to re-size JPG images for web use. It’s much quicker and easier to use than Photoshop if you don’t need to edit photos. I prefer using Lightroom to edit my photos anyway.

Pros

I love how Sketch is a bit like Photoshop and Illustrator combined into one program. It will do vector and bitmap work. It’s a more light-weight program than Photoshop and loads much quicker. I really enjoy using it for web design. I also like that they don’t force you into a subscription to keep using the software.

Cons

After a year you will stop receiving updates. If you update to a new version and haven’t renewed your license key, you will find out that you need to reinstall an older version to continue using the software.

### "Sketch vs Figma"

December 5, 2019

4.0

Sketch has so many features and integrations to make your workflow smooth, but collaboration is a deal breaker for me, so Figma is still my top choice.

Pros

Since I was familiar with Figma, Sketch didn't seem difficult to learn. After watching a few video tutorials, I was confident the learning curve wasn't significant.

Cons

No real-time collaboration is possible, unlike Figma. This is important to me as a UX design student who shares work with my mentor.

### "Simple design software"

September 30, 2018

4.0

It is cheap software which is good. Adobe products are expensive regarding to Sketch. You can easily use it for designing mobile and web products. I recommend it to anyone who has Apple computers to try it.

Pros

As a designer, I started using Sketc because many recommended it to me. It's very easy to use and it can be achieved a lot if you are a UI-UX designer. You can design vector graphics very easily, you do not have to pay for Adobe Illustrator, Sketch offers this option. If you have used Adobe Photoshop for years, then you will very easily learn to use this software because it is much simpler than other design software .

Cons

I think you Sketch will not be able to replace Adobe Photoshop simply because you can not edit images and many more missing options that exist with Adobe Photoshop. I think it's a good product for beginners, but you must first go through serious software. Also, the bad thing is that it can only be used on Apple computers while Adobe products can be installed on any PC.

### "Great application that needs more adoption"

April 29, 2018

5.0

Helped with designing my website and other applications.

Pros

For a UI designer, this is one of the top 3 out there including XD and Photoshop. There are a ton of resources for this application and can only see it continuing to grow!

Cons

The learning curve is a little higher on there. For someone coming from years of experience with photoshop, I wish it was a little easier to learn from the get-go.

### "Takes some getting used to"

July 25, 2021

4.0

My overall experience with Sketch is positive. It doesn’t take me that long to pick up switching from XD.

Pros

This program has lots of capabilities you need for designing for web, app, etc. It’s set up for working efficiently with art boards for multiple pages.

Cons

It does take a bit getting used to if you’re going from Adobe software such as Adobe XD. It doesn’t feel as intuitive only because you’re used to how Adobe programs trained you.

### "Redefined digital design software standards. Prioritises speed/ease of use over complexity."

April 5, 2018

5.0

Pros

Sketch's simplicity and ease of use has been integral to its success. The software UI experience is easy for newcomers to get their head around, due to its focus on only including the essential tools, and generally removing clutter and complexity. Due to this focus on the 'essentials', and other considered interface features, it is fast to work in compared to 'oldschool' methods such as Illustrator/Photoshop Generally, it really is a pleasure to use.

Cons

In the same way its simplicity is a strength, currently, the software can feel a bit limiting in situations/projects where accuracy and complexity trumps speed. For example, for someone coming from a background in print design, the grids/guides feature is pretty underwhelming compared to the functionality of software such as InDesign. The fact Sketch is Mac only is also a big con. Despite using a Mac personally, my place of employment is completely windows based, which is frustrating.

### "For web-dedicated designers, it's a great tool"

September 10, 2018

4.0

Researched this as a possible replacement as our web team's design software, but couldn't justify transitioning away from Photoshop for our specific needs.

Pros

Streamlined, web-centered design can really save you time and headaches when designing.

Cons

It's not an all-in one solution for web design. Photo-editing still needs to be done in another application, and rapid export of assets is still far behind Photoshop's Generate Image Assets feature.

### " I believe it to be the best program for interface design."

September 17, 2019

5.0

I got interested in the digital world thanks to Sketch. I designed websites with great experiences!

Pros

The Program is easy to use, although not as intuitive as its competitors. However, I believe the pioneering spirit either become quite complete. Thus, the design interfaces become easy and pleasant.

Cons

The Fact must be unique to one operating system only. Believe me, this hurts a lot those who can't afford Apple products. Like me.

### "to love or not to love"

August 26, 2019

5.0

Pros

I am torn with this program, i love the website design area, but the app area is a little to complicated for me to use. There are lots of tools to use, but it works differently than I am used to (like adobe)... The appearance of the app is nice, but kinda boring (especially for an app to design of apps haha)

Cons

the appearance of the app lacks appeal If I have to stare at a screen for hours I want to look at something visually appealing.

### "Fun to track your progress!"

April 21, 2020

5.0

Pros

Sketch is such an easy tool to use for your graphic designs! I love drafting UX for web designs and mobile designs on this app. It’s easy to create designs and import pictures and icons. It’s easy to structure your design as well. I really enjoy how you can see your history of progress. Sketch automatically saves your history!!

Cons

I don’t like how I can’t merge histories and versions of my designs.

### "Sketch - and up and coming design tool"

August 30, 2019

3.0

Sketch has great features to make it a nice tool for certain types of design, however, it is not professional enough to handle larger more complex design jobs.

Pros

There are several nice features to this software that makes it a great design tool, however, my favorite is the variety of pre-loaded screen templates. Sketch offers a library of pre-built artboards for iOS devices and web design layouts. This is especially helpful if you're unsure what dimensions to use for a design, such as one for a mobile device. Also, this software is easy to learn and use, which is a plus.

Cons

While this software is great for mobile or web design, it does not have complex enough tools to handle a intricate logo design, or illustration. I still prefer Adobe Illustrator for more complex designs, however, this is still a useful tool.

### "Sketch review"

March 31, 2020

4.0

Pros

Using the software as a mobile front end developer, our designer uses this software to pass designs to frontend developers. It is easy to find out the correct layout specs.

Cons

if you know how it works it is easy to use so no negative feedback.

### "Sketch was the best"

November 4, 2020

5.0

I love Sketch, don't get me wrong. It's only that since Adobe XD appeared, I don't longer need to have other app, outside the Adobe Creative Cloud system.

Pros

Sketch is a great app to prototype websites and apps. It has a lot of features that automatically let you repeat, duplicate or align assets. It's great for non developers.

Cons

It doesn't support Adobe Libraries. So....that's a deal breaker.

### "Slick design app - only for macOS!"

November 19, 2019

4.0

Pros

It's very fast and easy to learn. Everything is intuitive. Since Sketch is so common among designers, great design component libraries are available and can be easily imported into your designs.

Cons

It works only on macOS and is somewhat expensive. Compared to the free option of Figma, which works on all devices, paying for Sketch might be hard to justify.

Cons

### "Used it mostly for UX and it's great!"

October 31, 2018

5.0

It is helpful that Sketch connects to Zeplin that makes it easier to share assets with devs. Again I use it mostly for UX so it can be used for rapid prototyping.

Pros

work on multiple artboards at the same time and have the desktop, tablet and mobile versions of the layout in the same file. Great canvas and market store.

Cons

no complaints whatsoever about it. excited to see it grow even more.

### "Great for Prototyping"

January 3, 2020

5.0

I used it to prototype some new dropdown menus and landing pages for a web team and it went pretty smooth.

Pros

It's pretty easy to use. I taught myself with Youtube videos and their manual online. It's pretty comprehensive for being so easy to use.

Cons

I wish the shortcuts were more like Adobe standard shortcuts. I kept trying to use some of them because I know the Adobe ones so well and that would mess me up.
