### "Simple, effective prototyping"

March 6, 2019

4.0

Overall, Sketch is simple to use, easy to learn and it allows you to rapidly create prototypes. Good value for the cost, but it has a few limitations when it comes to creating graphics.

Pros

Sketch is one of the most well-known prototyping softwares on the market, so there are tons of integrations available and most designers/developers are familiar with the product. I'm an avid user of InVision, and it offers an awesome plugin called "Craft" that allows you to quickly upload prototypes to InVision without leaving Sketch. If you buy a 1-year license to Sketch, you can still access Sketch after the year is over — you just can't update to the latest version. This is a great benefit to the license.

Cons

Sketch has a few graphic limitations (i.e. you can't use gradients on text, subpar tools to create graphics, etc), so it's best to use it in tandem with a design software such as Photoshop or Illustrator if you want to build graphic-heavy mockups. Software often crashes when working with multiple artboards.

### "PPT Design on Steroids, but not collaborative"

September 19, 2018

5.0

Pros

I formerly created all designs in PPT, and moved to Sketch because it allows for greater precision and ease of use. It also has increased functionalities such as creating and tinkering with PNGs, masking images with photos, and creating fill gradients within images.

Cons

It costs money to buy a license, so designs I create in Sketch are only editable by other people who have Sketch. This has become very inconvenient at my company because if our CEO wants to make a quick change to a piece of collateral I've created minutes before a conference, he can't. Also, Sketch is not a word processor and doe not have Spellcheck.

### "Our daily design tools"

November 13, 2018

5.0

We already purchase this a team and we really love this tool because of our process on design was make more productive and more manageable. Plus the plugins are big savers in our daily problem.

Pros

Everything features of sketch is greats. But one of most features that i like was symbols. creating a component and me it into modular is so awesome.

Cons

For me the Dark mode theme i'm still using the plugins midnight and i think it's better User experience and it's more suitable icons compare to real icon of sketch.

### "Best design platform "

September 10, 2019

5.0

I’m solving the problem of designing wireframes and user interfaces. It combines the best aspects of Photoshop and Illustrator into one easy simple platform. It also integrates well with prototyping platforms for easy exportation of assets.

Pros

I love how light weight the platform is. I also like how I can design using pixels but everything remains vector. Makes it super simple to export at multiple sizes.

Cons

I dislike how most additional features come through third-party plugins. It means some of them aren’t so great.

### "Functionality vs Consistency"

October 3, 2018

4.0

Overall, Sketch has been good to me. I keep learning about new functionalities and it's my go to for design. I'm even starting to do some thing in Sketch that I would normally do in Adobe Illustrator too.

Pros

The best part about Sketch is it's versatility. I have used a few other UX design software programs and this one is best when it comes to being able to do the most. Especially when it comes to additional plugins available.

Cons

The only thing I don't like about it is it's separation to Adobe Creative Cloud. As a designer, I use Adobe CC a lot and would like to use Adobe XD for this type of design. But it simply has more functionality therefor I stick to Sketch.

### "My Choice for Mobile App Design "

March 7, 2018

5.0

This is the easiest tool for us to design mobile interfaces. I feel like competitors are still playing catch up. Photoshop for instance can export 1x, 2x, 3x assets of a layer, but the workflow for doing so feels more time consuming and less fluid than Sketch.

Pros

The way the workflow works in Sketch is so much better for mobile app design than a tool like Photoshop. While other graphics tools are still great and have a place for other kinds of graphic/UI design, Sketch beats them all hands down when it comes to a mobile app design that requires many similar views and UI elements.

Cons

While Sketch is great for composing a UI and things like icon design, it does feel like it lacks in raster features which means that it isn't a one stop app for all graphics yet. That said, I'm not sure if it should be ever, and I don't mind it being a tool for a specific case.

### " the industry standard vector graphics editor for UI design for Mac users"

November 15, 2022

4.0

We have been able to create high-quality designs and easily create beautiful mockups.

Pros

Sketch is a Mac-only app that’s great for UI designers and front-end developers. It has powerful tools for creating wireframes and mockups, but it also has a lot of features that make it perfect for designing websites. Sketch's file format is supported by many third-party plugins and services as well as other graphics editors such as Affinity Designer, GIMP, Adobe Illustrator and Inkscape. It’s easy to use and has a clean interface, so anyone can learn it in no time. The app comes with many pre-made icons and symbols that you can use in your designs, making it easier for beginners. It is primarily designed as a tool for creating user interfaces, but it can also be used to create icons, visual design comps, and full-page layouts. It makes it easy to create high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, and production code.

Cons

The app has some issues as well. Sketch is not as powerful as Adobe Illustrator, so it’s not suitable for creating complex designs with lots of layers and objects. It also has some bugs that need to be fixed, such as the fact that you can’t copy and paste SVG files into your projects.

### "Fantastic tool with room for improvement"

May 14, 2019

5.0

Allows to come up with crisp finish-looking products that can be passed to developers.

Pros

There are so many things you can mock and accomplish with Sketch. Tons of features that will allow you to come up with stunning visual designs for mobile and web.

Cons

Missing some key functionality. You can find several plug-ins that do what you'd like, yet, some of them are more expensive than the tool itself. Sometimes the rendering process takes a bit of time and gets too slow.

### "Sketch is great for product design"

December 22, 2021

4.0

Pros

Great tool with symbols and lots of features to help you design beautiful interfaces for digital products. Sketch gives you all the tools needed to create professional websites, layouts, apps and more with a complete library and design system if needed.

Cons

Sketch lost the battle of features for other design tools, but it is still relevant and a great tool for designers.

### "Sketch, From Complex Websites to Stupid Memes"

May 17, 2019

5.0

I once created the same UI mockup in Adobe Photoshop... it took 3 hours. In Sketch, it took 1 hour 25 mins. Sketch will save you time. Lots of time.

Pros

Yes, I use it for everything. It's so easy to get started. The only learning curve is learning keyboard shortcuts. I rather export from AI to sketch to work on minor fixes.

Cons

There are a few bugs here and there but nothing major. Also, competition is getting fierce so I'm not sure Sketch will always be the leader in the space.

### "Tons of Plugins + Great Features"

June 25, 2019

5.0

My overall experience with sketch has been pretty good, there's definitely a learning curve to the software but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty great.

Pros

The thing that I like the most about this software is the ability to add plug-ins, there are tons of plugins out there which make it very easy to get things done. The layout of the application is pretty decent too with well defined icons.

Cons

The lack of flexibility in importing documents is a big pain point. The competition apps do let photoshop, illustrator and other file formats to open.

### "The way to go for web and app designers."

January 8, 2019

5.0

I love designing in Sketch. It's very easy to use and no matter if I need to do a complex mock up and prototype or just a quick wireframe, I can do it all in Sketch.

Pros

I really like how easy to use the program is. It also works really great with other programs designers would use and the huge catalog of plugins really helps the program grow and be flexible.

Cons

There are some features that aren't built that would be nice, like spell check. Since there aren't plugins for everything.

### "Use it every day for software interface design and logo creation."

June 9, 2018

5.0

The tool is clear, clean, and organized so that my interface design workflow is effortless. Great for everything from rapid prototyping to complex UI design.

Pros

Tools are clear, and presented in a very clean and logical fashion. The learning curve was steep when transitioning from Adobe products, but once you are able to align your mindset with Sketch's workflow, you can advance quickly. Once you master the workflow, you are able to accomplish some pretty advanced things. I have used deeply nested symbols managed in their new 'Sketch Library' feature amongst my team with some amazing results. All our designs can stay consistent and in-sync without significant change to my daily design process.

Cons

Sometimes import and export renders some odd and unexpected results, causing me to search the internet for the right answer (or sometimes no answer is even available). As updates are made to sketch, certain (sometimes obscure) functionality seems to break without explanation. An example of this would be exporting nested artboards - which in itself might have been a hack to begin with, but it was one I used consistently and reliably until a recent update.

### "Sketch Review"

February 2, 2019

5.0

Overall the experience its great this was the first software I used to design platforms.

Pros

Works just as Illustrator, also uses vector. Fast to design Wireframes, Mockups, High Fidelity Mockups. Has alot of plugins that help you to design the product or platform you are designing.

Cons

Illustrator Vectors cant work good in Sktech you make them big or small and they wont work, sometimes this takes up time. Illustrator and Sketh compability not helpful.

### "The New Standard"

February 7, 2019

4.0

Pros

The pros for Sketch are mainly found in its speed and that it is designed with the mobile designer in mind. Pretty much all of the functionality that has been added to competitors was to match features that sketch has. Sketch is fast and built with the UI / Web designer in mind. This makes it a dream compared to behemoths such as Illustrator or Photoshop.

Cons

Limited on it's own, unless you have a photo editor to complement it.

### "Best product for interface designing!"

December 6, 2019

5.0

AMAZING and really easy to use. Once I started using it, I design everything on sketch including print material.

Pros

Very easy to pick up if you are familiar with Adobe design tools - while being better than photoshop/illustrator if you are designing screens. Also lots of plug-ins available if you can't find a certain feature!

Cons

It does not have as many typographic capabilities as Adobe Indesign has- things like character styling and paragraph settings.

### "Feature-Rich, but Lacking a Robust Colloboration Integration"

March 7, 2020

4.0

Pros

This software is the industry standard for digital design. It has all the necessary features that bridge the gap between design and front-end development. It allows for incredibly easy style management and exporting assets is dead simple as well. There are certainly no usability issues with Sketch and it is certainly a very mature and stable platform.

Cons

In my opinion, the core feature lacking in this software would be its collobration features. It's main web-based competitior has a flawless colloboration system that makes working on the same project along side a team incredibly simple. This software does has something similar, but it is not nearly as intuituve as it's primary competitor.

### "Sketch is everything I need in a design tool. It has solved so many headaches."

May 25, 2018

5.0

Design system libraries, shared symbols, affordable pricing... too many benefits to list, honestly. There's nothing bad about this app.

Pros

Sketch has no bloat. Everything that's there is a feature I use. If I find something not there, they've got an amazing community that creates plugins that work well.

Cons

My only complaint is that their market share isn't 100%, so I still find myself having to port things to or from Photoshop, and it's not very easily done.

### "Very Different"

August 2, 2019

5.0

My overall experience with Sketch has been great. I'm still getting the hang of it. So far I really like it.

Pros

Sketch is a great tool for people who work with web and mobile design. It is a very easy to use software for beginners like me, and easy to get the hang of it. Since its been out in the market for a while now, it is a very stable software and it is constantly updated to make the software even better. The many plugins available for Sketch make your life so much easy. There's a plugin for pretty much anything, and if you don't find it, you have the option to make your own plugin as well.

Cons

If you are working on a newer project with an older version of the software, sometimes it won't let you open it, which sucks because you're kind of forced to upgrade to the newer version. Also since it is a desktop software, it is kind of difficult to work with a team because you cant all really share.

### "My favorite tool to design in"

December 23, 2018

5.0

Highly recommend if you're a UX designer or graphic designer.

Pros

Sketch has almost everything I need in a design tool for UX. I highly reccomend this tool because the price is great, the interface isn't too complicated, and new users can learn it in a matter of hours. This tool helps me get my work done quickly and at a high quality.

Cons

This tool does everything amazing except paths. If you're trying to make organic shapes or icons I wouldn't reccomend this software. While there are tools inside Sketch to do this kind of thing, they are hard to use compared to other tools on the market.

### "Visual Design, Reimagined "

April 24, 2019

5.0

Pros

• How sketch evolves in matchless. The innovations Sketch team is bringing on the table has changed how we think about design tools. • Symbols were an amazing innovation which other softwares have started to develop and make use of • Sketch has beat the market leader Photoshop in UI design, and have made our lives a lot easier • Sketch only focuses on tools relevant to web and interface designs, makes things simple and lets us focus on what is important

Cons

• Would love if sketch could incorporate versioning and code inspection so that we won't need to rely on third party softwares such as Abstract and Inspections • A lot of plugins slow down sketch and sometimes the whole pc. It'll be great if Sketch team could review those plugins thoroughly before allowing it to be used with Sketch.

### "Simple, easy but powerful"

August 18, 2021

Pros

Simple, easy and powerful really is the best way to describe sketch. You can do all you need and you don't need to be a "pro".

Cons

Group management can be tricky but understandably so and this could be a reflection of my own abilities rather than sketch - doesn't mean it couldn't be better though.
