### "Sketch Gets The Job Done"

April 17, 2019

4.0

I have used Sketch for sometime to make my mockups for my Web Design clients. In recent months, I have switched to Adobe XD because of the price and ongoing updates.

Pros

Sketch was one of the leading innovators in wireframing and mockup tools for design. They set a lot of the standards for other tools competing today and is still one of the best options.

Cons

Sketch is only on OSX and with more competing tools that are also cross-platform, it's a hard sell. Not to mention many of them are free now and offer nearly the same functionality.

### "Sketch Review"

March 4, 2023

5.0

Its 2D capabilities are impressive and effective. This software is recommended for those seeking practical and versatile 2D graphic design software for their digital design projects.

Pros

I've been using this software to make digital designs because I like the features it offers. It is simple to use and learn, which is why I like it. The software has also helps me to speed up and significantly reduce the amount of time I spend on design tasks. Overall, if you're looking for a user-friendly design tool, I highly suggest it.

Cons

What I like least about this software is its limited 3D capabilities because it is primarily a 2D design tool. However, as a user of this software, I find it a very useful and powerful tool for designing.

### "Industry standard"

October 12, 2018

3.0

Pros

I love the speed of the export feature. All the other design tools need to catch up. The plugins are fantastic.

Cons

the bugs, omg, the BUGS. It's just part of Sketch. It gets very annoying. Almost to the point that makes me want to ditch it altogether in favor of Figma. If it wasn't for the usefulness of its plugins, I think I would.

### "Easy UI design tool, the new industry standard. "

March 26, 2018

4.0

Easy UI design.

Pros

Design for UI / Screen design. Easy and not too feature rich. Low learning curve. Scales well for large complex design flows.

Cons

More a UI design tool, less useful for UX / flows, although they're getting better at that. Also new releases can be buggy. And the type styling is more limited than something like InDesign.

### "Sketch is a powerful design tool"

December 7, 2018

5.0

I love this tool, I’m the UX lead of a big company that have more than 25 designers and we use SketchApp as a critical part of our design process.

Pros

This software allows to the users create and add plugins for specific needs. This means the the Designers can collaborate with other designers and you can solve your design needs with this plugins. I consider that this tool have two great advantages of many: - For responsive designs and big proyects you will have the “override”, “symbols”, “resizing” and “data” that will help you to have a rapid prototyping your designs. Is fast and easy compared to other design Tools. - Libraries: this help you to collaborate between your different views in your website designs, oh!! The most important , you can collaborate and share your symbols between your design team members! Is fantastic!

Cons

The price for what you receive is good but I don’t linke to pay annually. I prefer the lifetime license.

### "A great King of UI/UX who doesn't Support his people "

August 15, 2018

5.0

I loved using Sketch in my Mac but missing it when i shifted to a windows. The adobe equivalent ADobe Xd is not so great as the king Sketch.

Pros

I loved working using Sketch for creating amazing visualizations of my project's user interface and the pricing seems to be affordable when compared to adobe.

Cons

I really didn't like where they do not have a Windows application, As I had to use a Windows System I was shocked to know that they only support only mac's. I hope they make a Windows application in the near future.

### "Great Tool for Design and user Experience"

August 29, 2019

5.0

It's a very effect Mac iOS application for sketch and design for beautiful user interface and user experience design.

Pros

This is one of the lightest tool/application out there for easy interaction with UI/UX design. It's not as boogie as other related apps very straight forward and well-documented tutorials even for newbies to easily understand the application and use it effectively on their iOS device.

Cons

Device Availability is a key problem for Sketch App. Unfortunately, the company is not considering to make cross-device availability for the software which restricts it to only iOS users and if you change your device to Windows, it means you've stopped using Sketchapp.

Reason for choosing Sketch

I read a review on Capterra when I was looking for best application to achieve the result and after comparison from other sites, I decided to check what others are saying about it, then I decided to test it for the first month and I loved it and finally decided to use it for my development.

### "One of the best design softwares I have used."

October 5, 2018

5.0

I am a UX designer and use Sketch for 90% of my work. I started using Sketch a little more than a year ago, and ever since it has never failed to surprise me with what it can do to make my job easy. Using any other design software has been slightly painful ever since.

Pros

The app is simple and easy to use. It makes work quick and easy, without you even realising it. The abundance of plug-ins and frequent updates with new features make sure the app responds to a user's needs accurately.

Cons

The app could be more inviting on a visual standpoint.

### "Excellent Graphic Editor"

September 24, 2022

5.0

Pros

The learning curve of Sketch is hassle free, I just love the simplicity of this program. My favorite is the collaborative feature that it comes with. Personally, I'm going with Sketch for long term.

Cons

As far as I have been using it, I don't recall ever having any problems with the Sketch software, it's literally my go to tool.

### "Powerful digital design tool"

December 5, 2018

5.0

Pros

Bohemian has proven that listening to what today’s digital designers need is a formula to great success. No subscription pricing, yet very affordable, this app is fast and flexible. Also, with an active plugin community, Sketch is capable of being the single design tool from wireframes, to prototype through the final interface design.

Cons

Handling of typography is still surprisingly lacking. Collaboration is improving, but is another area that needs further refinement.

### "The vital software for interface design"

November 28, 2018

4.0

Pros

What I like most about Sketch is a huge library of plugins that speed up my workflow several times. Also, I love the last update that brings the ability to use real data (names, avatars, photos etc) in your design.

Cons

Last versions are buggy, Sketch freeze from time to time especially when using more than two plugins

### "A must have for anyone designing for the web"

November 16, 2019

5.0

I'm in love with Sketch. I'm fairly new to UX/UI but not to web design and now my perspective changed completely about the amount of work and integration with programmers that can be achieved with such a simple program. I would recommend it.

Pros

After using Illustrator for the most part of the last 10 years, designing for the web, I felt something was missing. That's when I learnt about Sketch. This is a tool for the modern web designer, it speaks the same language as the people who will convert your drawing to code. It's super simple and makes changes through out your layouts a breeze. I love the recent smart layouts addition. It hard to explain in words, but, if you try it, you'll understand. I also love the ability to integrate with InVision, making prototype sharing very fast and efficient. It's also very light weight app with constant updates and it's fairly cheap to own.

Cons

I don't really like the way you select the tools to draw. I also find it difficult to make complex shapes and object. But I guess it's because of being used to work with Adobe's tools for so long.

Switched from

[Adobe Illustrator](https://www.capterra.com/p/227125/Adobe-Illustrator/)

I still use Illustrator for more tradicional print and digital work, but, for web design and UX, I only use Sketch.

### "Go to design tool"

April 6, 2021

5.0

Sketch allows us to build the mocks developers need to see! It's an incredibly powerful tool

Pros

Sketch is powerful design tool that is easy to use. I like all the built in shortcuts and the ability to bring in third party plug ins. You can create anything inside sketch, and there are tons of different ways to export your designs. It also pairs well with invision, which is very convenient.

Cons

I feel like sketch could go further with the ability to bring in animation. I know craft allows use to link and prototype interactions, but i'd like to see sketch take this a step further. I would also like the ability to collaborate on a sketch file together. We currently check files in and out, and that slows down the workflow.

### "Complete software for designing UI"

October 31, 2019

4.0

Great software for designing UI. However, it lacks features that are essential in the workplace. I had to keep going back and forth between several other softwares and the switch between them wasn't pleasant.

Pros

It's a relatively old software, and therefore well established: lots of tutorials on internet, thousands of plugins, years of improvements and niche features, etc.

Cons

Although Figma is very good for the design part of a project, you cannot easily prototype, version your files, and collaborate with peers.

### "Great software, but missing a few key features"

February 19, 2020

5.0

Pros

Great price point for smaller teams. Software is polished, not buggy and has a great selection of export tools for developers to extract their assets. I like that I can CMD-C to copy an asset, and paste the SVG code directly in my IDE. Saves a lot of time and removes unnecessary exportation steps.

Cons

Figma showed our team how useful collaboration is. Being able to collectively work on a design, as well as invite clients and show them a product in real time, is super useful. Not having a simple way to get developers involved in a project, who perhaps don't own Sketch, is sometimes problematic.

### "Best App for Vector Design"

August 16, 2018

5.0

It's awesome tool to design vector files. Most important thing is that we can easily integrate Sketch App with other tools (i.e. Invision). Also whatever we design in Sketch, they also build CSS for those elements. So it's useful to build webpage as well.

Pros

It's providing CSS in design tool. I never seen this before.

Cons

I don't have a single reason to dislike Sketch App

### "Great for Product Design"

October 9, 2023

5.0

I use Sketch as my main design tool for all the new products and features I oversee.

Pros

Sketch is a great option for Product teams that are building out product and features. It has a lot of capabilities that allow you to design exactly what you envision. They also have a good collaboration tool so that you can co-create designs with your team.

Cons

Being that it is sophisticated, it can be difficult for a typical product person to learn. There are so many capabilities that I don't know about still.

### "One of the best tools to create user interfaces"

April 15, 2019

4.0

Great tool for creating high-fidelity mock ups and wireframes. Still a lot of room to improve.

Pros

The best feature I feel for sketch is its ease to create high-fidelity prototypes and mockups that can mimic user interactions and provide for a user flow. One other feature I love about sketch is its custom library wherein a designer can create custom brand specific elements and store them in a library. This saves a great amount of time in the future. One of the smaller features I would like to point out is its data feature wherein a designer can pull in dummy data from the library or add custom data to populate multiple elements in the project. This makes it so much more easier to make mockups with custom data for an app. Saves a lot of time too.

Cons

One of the biggest cons of Sketch I would say is it's limitation only to Mac users. Me being a Windows user initially had to rely on my fellow designers with a Mac for sketch usage. I had to shift to a Mac for me to get an hands on experience with the software. One other con I would like to point out is its lack of a feature for project collaborations. This would have been of great help to sort of get quick comments and suggestions on designs in real time.

### "Great vector editor for a competitive price"

April 9, 2019

5.0

Pros

It offers nearly as many functionalities as much more expensive applications like Adobe Illustrator, yet it costs just a few bucks. We were very happy using Sketch, but we recently switched to Figma, as it offers better overall value for us.

Cons

It's not cloud based so collaboration is a bit of an issue.

### "Seriously, who doesn't like sketch!?"

November 24, 2019

5.0

Pros

Versatile, Integration which virtually any protypting/design tool out there - why wouldn't you use this. It's the industry standard and has plugins seemingly everywhere. Try this out if you're getting into the graphic design game, folks.

Cons

It can add more features, though this is not necessary. I think if you could launch other apps from the main program into ancillary programs it would be a great feature as having both open at once can be a pain.

### "Tremendous Value for your Money!"

June 20, 2018

5.0

Pros

I have absolutely no design experience, but when I use sketch I become a designing machine. I single handedly designed a fully fledged platform using sketch. I did this purely by using templates from experienced designers and with the dead simple use of sketch I was able to transform it into my design.

Cons

This is an amazing and with a one time low fee it gives massive value. The one thing I wish is that they would make a windows version of it.

### "Best UX app on the market"

February 3, 2018

Rapid UX development

Pros

I love how fast it is. So much better than Adobe Illustrator. I also like all of the 3rd party integrations. They really help speed up my workflow.

Cons

I think they need to add more collaborative design features or else they may get left in the dust behind Figma or Adobe XD.

### "Easy to learn and innovate tool"

March 17, 2019

5.0

They’ll need to work hard and keep adding new and innovative features to keep up with the many competitors in this space!

Pros

I’ve used Sketch for a few years now, it’s very easy to pick up, especially if you’re familiar with the other design tools out there in the market. As well as the support they provide on their website https://www.sketchapp.com/support/ I also found loads of helpful tutorials on Youtube that satisfied any issues I ran into.

Cons

I find more flexibility in the drawing tools of Adobe, but if you’re just new to this space and starting out with things like wireframes and logos, you should have more than enough options in Sketch to satisfy your needs – and it’s only getting better.
