### "Sketch: the best design tool for Mac"

February 29, 2020

5.0

Overall Sketch is my favourite Mac design tool. It's easy to use, has heaps of features and you can install plugins. Aside from the fact that you need a computer around to view your designs, its a great app!

Pros

What I love most about Sketch is its ease of use and templates. You can choose from templates or start yourself. I frequently use this app for designs screens for mobile apps and app icons. You can also install plugins for extra features.

Cons

What I don't love about Sketch is Sketch Mirror. Sketch Mirror is the feature that makes you be able to view your designs on a mobile device. The problem is you need to be connected on the same network. So I can't be somewhere not around my computer and show my designs.

### "Great for Wireframing and Mockups"

January 8, 2020

4.0

Overall pretty good but wish non design team members had a better experience viewing my work.

Pros

The UI is pretty straightforward, easy to understand if you've used design tools before. Gets the job done.

Cons

Some features and shortcuts are not intuitive. Other tools do a better job for example object selection.

### "Great easy to use software"

February 12, 2019

4.0

Pros

My end users in my NYC office use this software and enjoy using it for the work they do. from my end was easy to get and set up licesnse. customer support and always been helpful. The software works well as i usually never have any tech issue with from my users who use it day in and day out.

Cons

i do think there is a similar tool within the Adobe CC suite that does the same thing as sketch, but if don't have adobe its a solid tool to use

### "Best design tool in my toolbox"

February 26, 2018

5.0

Its so cheap and effective. High time saver and very reliable.

Pros

How intuitive it is. The responsiveness(it never crashes) is such a refreshing change from the constant crashes experienced in similar products. The contextual sidebar for the tools is really nice. Awesome product.

Cons

The biggest drawback I see currently is the fact it only is compatible with MACs, for our team that is a hurdle that transfering files to them requires some work arounds.

### "Sketch is my go to software for quickly prototyping interfaces"

April 5, 2018

5.0

Pros

The two things that stand out about Sketch are that it's a native iOS app & it has an openish file format. This allows for a community to build useful plugins on top of it.

Cons

Unfortunately it lacks truly web specific features, like responsive artboards, data inputs, show/hide etc.

### "I prefer Sketch over Figma / Adobe"

February 29, 2020

5.0

I've used Sketch from its launch, and it still does everything I need as a designer and developer. The competition might have a few more features here and there, but I can solve those with plugins to Sketch, and I much prefer the UI and shortcuts of Sketch over other products like Figma. If they fixed their shape boolean tools, this would really be perfect.

Pros

\- You can learn it in a few hours - Highly intuitive UI and tools - Huge library of plugins (really, you can find anything you could ever want, and most are free)

Cons

\- Pen tool could be better - Prototyping features could be better - Layer selecting is sometimes painful - Boolean operations with shapes have issues that Illustrator doesn't

### "could be better"

January 5, 2023

5.0

the software is not as popular as figma and photoshop. i heard about the software from my google search much after discovering figma. making frequent updates for my large files is a bit time taking.

Pros

its ui is very much beginner friendly. supporting a great number of plugins is amazing thing. it makes me more productive as i can work on it in offline mode. its the best thing to create components and be able to use them for future.

Cons

protoyping feature needs to be get advanced. and i guess there is problem of merging components.i would love to see its desktop and ipad version.

### "Excellent tool for UX/UI designers. "

July 31, 2018

5.0

We're able to design and iterate of designs very quickly. Export assets in various sizes very efficiently - which are directly usable by the developers. Big big help!

Pros

Super simple an intuitive interface - everything is built in vector which makes the design job easy. Quite cheap as compared to other available products. Lot and lots of plugins. Working on multiple artboards. Mirroring your work live on a mobile interface. Very frequent updates of the tool to fix all small and big issues.

Cons

Isn't available for Windows users yet. Prototyping wasn't available till very recent times but now it's there, with limited functionality. There's nothing really bad about this tool

Our whole team uses it and loves it!

### "Great design software for solo designer"

April 16, 2020

5.0

When I'm working on a project by myself, Sketch is the best option in many cases. I can quickly create new designs, and I can trust the software to behave the way I expect. Where I have problems is if someone else needs to edit the same file or contribute in some way. It's cumbersome to do so.

Pros

There's not a huge learning curve to the software, and once you learn it, you can create designs very quickly.

Cons

The collaboration tools (for larger teams) are a bit cumbersome compared to some of Sketch's competitors.

### "One of the standards of prototyping software"

August 2, 2018

5.0

Pros

It is very accurate in speccing out different resolutions, intuitive, and able to integrate with many other applications.

Cons

It is a little hard to pick up if you are a avid adobe user. You have to relearn all the hot keys and that might take awhile.

### "The best design tool"

May 1, 2020

5.0

Sketch is my favorite design tool and I would highly recommend any designer on the market to get this option.

Pros

I absolutely love how easy it easy to work in Sketch. There is no learning curve whatsoever. You are able to insert various plugins that make the experience much more valuable.

Cons

At times, the platform can be quite slow, but that is when you work with multiple pages. It is not such a problem for the average designer.

### "Simple and efficient to help us share designs across the team"

April 27, 2021

5.0

We love Skwtch and our designers would never go back to their previous set of tools now.

Pros

It is very easy to organize our designs, both past and upcoming in Sketch. We use it to share upcoming features with our teams, clients and prospects and it helps gather valuable feedback.

Cons

It would be a lot more convenient if we could have it on PC as well. We had to replace a few computers for our whole design team to use it.

### "Sketch has been my primary software for design"

February 5, 2019

5.0

Overall I've been very happy with Sketch. It's been my main tool as a Visual Designer and Illustrator.

Pros

There are a couple of pros to Sketch's software. I feel as though Sketch has a lower level of entry than say Adobe Suites. I was able to play around with the software and learn it in a relatively fast amount of time. Sketch also can be purchased with one flat fee unlike Adobe Suites which now works on a subscription. If you're new and want to test out the software, you can do a 2 month free trial.

Cons

It isn't used as widely as Adobe Suites. There isn't a way to animate on Sketch, which could be cool.

### "Sketch Review - Lovely Design Tool"

May 19, 2019

4.0

Pros

Sketch is really very well designed with a lovely and easy to use interface. Sketch has lots of available plugins that can extend its functionalities. It can be used to easily create wireframes. There is a large community of users behind the program. This makes useful templates, plugins and extensions readily available online.

Cons

Sketch is a wonderful program that I haven't really had issues with apart from the fact that prototyping looks to be a little limited. There has been constant improvements with each update. So I'm expecting things to improve with subsequent updates.

### "Excellent way to design your front-end."

May 17, 2018

5.0

You learn to design quickly under this software, you can show the results you need and design the aesthetics that a web will take when it is ready.

Pros

Provides an excellent web prototyping, with it the front-end is not a problem and I miss with CSS styles, has unique templates and always adaptable to what you need.

Cons

You need some editing tools such as for images or some aspects in the creation of letters or information.

### "This is a product I use and look forward to using everyday."

June 8, 2018

5.0

Pros

I love that I can create mockups of whatever my projects require, whether it be desktop or mobile, or just a simple icon. Sketch allows our team to stay up to date on the latest designs and design changes for our projects.

Cons

The one thing that bugs me the most is working with icons and not having the ability to combine paths. I have to export the svg into another program to do this.

### "Never going back to Photoshop"

January 26, 2021

5.0

Use it everyday! Part of my workflow and sure it won't disappear from it as well.

Pros

Before Sketch came out, Photoshop was always in my workflow. After Sketch came out, Photoshop isn't anymore. Sketch is lightweight, stable and has all functions for (vector) editing. Love it!

Cons

Sketch changes it's UI a lot lately. So sometimes it takes time to find where options are located (or hidden) after an update.

### "Much better alternative to Adobe for software projects"

June 12, 2020

5.0

Since we switched to Sketch we've saved a lot of money and we've managed to simplify and streamline our design workflow.

Pros

We love that it's easy to use, and that it's very well designed and works well with Macs. We also like that it integrates very well with software such as Figma and Zeplin.

Cons

It lacks the amount of plugins and third party support that Adobe has, but it's getting there slowly.

### "One of the best UI/UX Tools on the Market today"

July 3, 2019

5.0

I use sketch every single day for my UX team. It is the tool preferred by both myself and my designers. It's lightweight, performant, and extensible. It is really good for what it is designed to do. I am glad I was able to move away from much of the adobe creative suite because of sketch.

Pros

The software is incredibly focused on tools for designing digital user interfaces. The library of plugins is outstanding and other tools integrate very well with it. The developers update it pretty frequently.

Cons

Sketch is miles behind the competition in terms of quality prototyping. It has enough to do very basic interactions but needs to step up in this area and collaboration.

### "Best For UI/UX designing"

September 19, 2018

4.0

It's easy and very good tool with efficient features and time saving plugins like craft and slicer which makes it very easy to upload designs on Invision

Pros

I've been using this from last 7 months and i have to say it's the best tool for ui ux designers. The shortcuts are very easy to remeber and handy as well it feels like it's made for you. The features are awsome and easy and lots of designing tools are available

Cons

The sketch tool is just available for mac operating system and not for windows which i Don't like about it and it should make it way to windows soon.
