Software Engineer Computer Software Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Great Tools To Help Engage Customers But Not Enough Demos To Explain Products" May 8, 2026 5.0 I have had a great experience with using Chili Piper after getting past the initial learning curve of what each product and service provides. They provide many tools that are helpful for any business albeit startups, small businesses, or large corporations. The cost is very affordable and comprehensive for the tools they provide. Pros Chili Piper is easy to integrate with any website and easy for non technical users to use. Additionally, there are many different products like the AI chatbot, ChiliCal, and Concierge. These tools are great for letting end users ask questions, route these questions to the appropriate agent, and build and route schedules. Cons There are many tools available and a lot of jargon is used to try to explain it to first time customers and end users who have no previous experience. They don't provide demos to explain what kind of services they provide or their UI at a high level. Pros Chili Piper has made it easy to schedule outbound meetings with prospects by providing an easy to use interface that quickly allows prospects to choose the time best for them. I appreciate how easy the tool is to learn and how simple it is to set up. Cons I do not have a ton of negative experiences to say when using Chili Piper, this could potentially be because I use it for a very simple booking application, but in general I do not have a ton of negatives to say. Pros Our Salesforce admin really likes their functionaltiy for sales opperations. We didn't have time to chase prospects down, so now scheduling is completely automated and our conversion has increased because of the easy user experience. Pros \-It's built for revenue teams and features speak to that - inbound, outbound, routing are much more advanced than basic scheduling tools -Booking experience is superior (requires less clicks and information for the customer booking) -CS team goes above and beyond -Automates our whole scheduling process so our team spends 0 administrative time scheduling meetings Cons \-Setup can be a bit confusing, mostly due to the amount of customization that is possible -More expensive than basic scheduling links Alternatives considered [Calendly](https://www.capterra.com/p/148036/Calendly/) Reason for choosing Chili Piper Calendly was much cheaper, but had a less desirable booking experience and required significantly more manual work. They also could not integrate into our inbound lead form, so couldn't do anything from an inbound perspective. It only solved scheduling for one channel where CP solved multichannel. Their chrome extension is quite handy for a quick customer invite. All I need to do is asks for the customer's email and paste it on the extension and the system automatically send a quick invite so I don't have to look further at the customer's account. Pros It is integrated with salesforce, google chrome as extension, and slack which is very convenient for keeping track of my client meeting. It also sent me and the client an email reminder so they won't forget our meeting schedule which is crucial as the customers are always busy. Cons Just the occasional bugs here and there where sometimes, the zoom meeting link is missing on my invite for no reason at all but they are quick to fix and provide a resolution Switched from [Calendly](https://www.capterra.com/p/148036/Calendly/) The other department still uses calendly but I moved to the department that requires sales and leads and the best tool if your department needs to utilize warm leads, the better choice is chili piper. Having a centralized place to manage scheduling is extremely helpful, especially when working with a high volume of meetings. The automated reminders are also useful for reducing no shows and helping both sides stay on track. Cons At times the platform can feel a bit finicky, although this may be influenced by how it is configured by the organization. There is limited control at the employee level when it comes to setting up new calendar types or adjusting workflows. In addition, the number of automated reminders can feel excessive, which may lead some prospects to opt out more easily. Having more flexibility and control on the user side would be beneficial. In a day and age where there are so many new and exciting Martech tools to learn and go through on a daily basis, to have this sort of support and amazing people to work with, seals the deal. SHOUTOUT TO OUR REP! Always a pleasure :) Pros The ability to use a Marketo form and Chili Piper scheduling and ensure proper one assignment happens in salesforce. In the instance that they would reschedule or open the link anywhere else the calendar of the rep who the lead belongs to's calendar will pop up for the prospect. Amazing. Cons I think the software user interface could use some improvements in getting around, sometimes its confusing, and sometimes the terms confuse me. Like assignee vs organizer. More help texts possibly for terms. The structure of how the queues and the meeting templates are separate from the router really confuses me and I feel like if the meeting templates that were associated to its specific queues and inbound router were sort of bundled together, then it would be easier to manage. Sort of like a drill down format. Chili Piper can be used for so many different aspects of our org and because we want to capture data along each specific router and queue that it came through, we have multiple queues and it's stacking up. November 30, 2018 5.0 I'm responsible for scheduling of services for a large, remote team while also documenting the meetings and events in Salesforce. With Chili Piper, the process is easier and less time-consuming because it integrates wtih Salesforce and Zoom. The support from the Chili Piper team has been fantastic! They help determine best practices and are open to improving Chili Piper to meet customer needs. Pros Chili Piper has greatly reduced the time it takes to schedule services for customers, allowing us more time assisting them with their needs. The program is easy-to-use and integrates with many programs we already use today, including Zoom and Salesforce. We've reduced the level of effort to schedule 1 session from 12 steps and 4 programs to 2-3 steps and 1 program. The ability to use the tool as a booker for my team has improved work efficiencies and reduced workload. Cons The user interface could be improved a bit. Having the ability to manually select start and end times vs. drag and drop would be helpful. Having access to the assignee's profiles from the scheduling tool would be great so that you can easily identify home locations for ensuring cost effective travel. Also, being able to test the program in a sandbox environment would be ideal. It is difficult to test in the production site. This has been great for our form conversion rate. Cons Nothing comes to mind, sometimes the calendar does take longer to load on the page, but that's rare. Its a good product and the integrations are awesome but it goes down about every week and then we have to resort back to doing things manually. Pros I love that it integrates with salesforce. It works some of the time but there have been a lot of bugs, incorrect routing and other issues. Support has been somewhat responsive when there have been issues. Could be a good tool if they can iron out the kinks and make it much easier to use. Pros Customer Support is fairly decent. Feature set is ok. Cons Lots and lots of bugs. I especially love the feature that allows you to plug specific times into your email so that a prospect can literally just click on a time and THAT'S IT! Amazing. Cons Sometimes the automatic "reminder" emails don't send. Once in a while a different reps calendar will auto-populate when you click on the Chili Piper link, but this is so far and few between. When they have engaged, they have been patronizing and impatient. Pros We us the automated calendar functionality - when it works and prospects are able to schedule time directly on our reps calendar, it works well and helps schedule meetings. Cons The software conflicts with LeanData. Chilipiper will tell you there is no problem and they deal with this all the time but the catch is that Chilipiper A) takes forever to populate fields that are crucial for routing the leads properly and B) sometimes just straight up doesn't populate those fields. We were promised during the sales process that there would be no problems with LeanData and now that there are, Chilipiper Customer Service is completely ignoring us. We have been forced to disable Chilipiper. The product is very effective and I use it on a daily basis. The support team is also very proactive. It's definitely better than Calendly. Pros It integrates with Salesforce and automatically creates an event as soon as someone reserves time on my calendar. Also, the ability to easily drop a few available times right on Gmail, so the customer can easily reserve a meeting with a click is a huge place. Cons Sometimes (it happened 2-3 times in 2 years, so not bad) the calendar link doesn't work and the client can't reserve time on my calendar, so I had to manually send them an invite.
