The software is pretty user friendly.

Pros

No major issues. The software is easy to manouvre and use.

Cons

a) Instances where the date field does not work properly and sometimes displays an implausible date

RecWise account guidelines oh how to categorize correct and incorrect accounts. Also the clear functionality of the reconciling items

Simple product. Similar to excel face. Can auto-complete recs that have not changed.

Cons

A little clunky, have to unprotect template to update fields. Reports do not function.

Can be tedious on the data pulling but it is helpful for the company overall.

Pros

Recwise has provided the stakeholders and employees to check and balance to ensure all items are appropriately parked in the correct General ledger. Gives us awareness on the aged items as well.

Cons

So far no as it always improves the software

Large files always take time to process and can be subject to the environment and connection speeds especially whilst working from home as it is dependant on your ISP connectivity and security protocols that may be running in the background that we do not control. An issue was raised and was found to be a 3rd Party product that was slowing the process at the time and has since been improved.

Really good customer support, product is right scale and complexity for our business and we have never had any issue with availability.

Pros

Ease of use, capability and responsiveness of support team and General Manager.

Cons

Flexibility in self service reporting, noting tools function well for all standard reporting including detailed analysis for reconciling items

Perfect tool to move our reconciliations from excel/paper to a controllable online system and to assist with the timely preparation and review by deadlines.

Pros

Allows supporting documents from our records management system to be attached, auto-reconciling as per tailored rules, tracking and control of preparation, review and re-work. It has assisted us in the timely completion and control of our reconciliations. Auditors have full access to reconciliations.

Cons

Interface looks like excel, but sometimes it is not quite as usable.

Pros

RecWise is an easy to use reconciliation software. Users are able to view all the reconciliations and the supporting workpapers online. It moves away from paper base reconciliation. It provides more visibility to the reconciliation process.

Cons

The GL balance upload to Recwise is done manually. There is no interface between SAP and Recwise.

Easy to add attachments and navigate around

Cons

Would like to be able to filter by reviewer or preparer on main screen rather than just sort - reconciliations look like Excel but are not and miss some good functions

Pros

We implemented RecWise in October this year and the team has all found it very easy to use. It has enhanced our month end processes with there being greater visibility from the whole finance team. Support from the RecWise team has also been great.

Cons

Only improvement recommendation is the excel functionality/capabilities

RecItems are not copied as each RecItem is different in nature and context. Via the upload process you can easily create another similar RecItem as required.
