Pros The ability to generate accurate financial projections in a very intuitive way and the freedom of choosing from several diagramms which best represent the projection. I also appreciated the variety of templates available, depending on the type of business you are working on. Cons At the beginning, the platform takes a little time to get used to, especially when working with the financial forecasting tools, i wish there were a case study templates for the financial projection too. The program is very easy to understand and use. Corrections and adjustments are a breeze. Pros Upmetrics has been very easy to use and the AI component is excellent. I am a Finance professional and a previous client of mine asked me to do a business plan for his hydroponics business. I am good with numbers but didn't really know where to start. That's when Upmetrics came in. I also like the fact that the system integrates with Xero and Quickbooks accounting software so that when we do start the business we can easily transfer the figures over. Support has also been fantastic. Cons I don't think I have anything to criticise about Upmetrics. I am not sure if you can have more than one scenario? It is a great software for hitting all the points needed to fully exam a business idea at a budget friendly cost. Pros Upmetrics software is intuitive, organized and budget friendly. I wrote a successful, full business plan with financials using this software for an SBA loan for our start up company. The structure provided was extremely helpful in organizing quickly the sections required in a business plan while allowing for easy addition of images and cut and paste text needed to explain the concept, industry, review competition, as well as develop the mission, vision and projected optional structure of the business. Cons I would have considered an annual membership; I did not see the pause button for the membership to reduce cost for the months not needed! You get busy and miss this...so be sure to check! I was very impressed with the integration of the components of the plan. It was the most pleasant experience writing a business plan that I have ever had...and I have writed a lot of them. Pros The process was great and easy to follow. The results were very detailed and complete. I especially liked the results of the AI-assisted completion. Very professional and well-presented. Cons I didn't have any problems. Revisions were easily done. The financial part was a bit quirky and someone without a financial statement background might have some challenges but I am confident assistance from the Upmetrics team can help resolve that. Pros very easy to use, even for someone old school like me :) I actually enjoyed using the program, the examples embedded in the template assisted me greatly and made it easy to understand. Cons Probably that you lose all your data when you unsubscribe, but it gives you the option of downloading a word document so if i decide it was time to review my plan i have a saved a copy of it and will update the next one. Probably would have been good to have AU option for Australia (possibly other currencies as well) instead of USD or even a conversion calculator to make the journey easier at checkout. So, as an educational tool (outside of its direct function), it was pretty awesome. Highly recommended! Pros The tool is incredibly comprehensive and covers pretty much every base imaginable for building a business plan (and beyond) from start to finish. Not to mention, it makes collaboration across teams a breeze and is mostly easy to use – even for those who aren't used to doing this kind of a work in a tech-forward way. And finally, the UI is clean, intuitive, and well organized. Overall, a very strong tool for those who want to build solid business plans. Cons The ONLY downsides is the one-size-fits-all approach (which, for some business ideas, may be too complex as a starting point). While I realize that there are some best practices to follow – which this tool definitely captures – a lot of entrepreneurs with a business idea don't have all the answers right out the gate. What could be an interesting evolution of this tool would be to provide "beginner," "intermediate," and "advanced" options – depending on the stage of the business idea. Or perhaps, starting with the "foundational" elements first (aka, beginner) and then having the option to add on more advanced areas of the plan development as you go. I only suggest this because, for some, trying to tick every box may seem overwhelming and, as a result, cause people to stop using the tool. For better adoption, I'd say, make it super accessible to all – and then let those with a more baked business idea go the distance. (At least, that's how we felt – we appreciated the comprehensiveness of the tool but were equally overwhelmed by how much ground to cover...that we weren't quite yet ready to cover.)
