Pros I used Upmetrics to refine my outdated business plan, and it has been a great experience. I created a basic plan using a generic template. Refining it using Upmetrics helped me make it more thorough and relevant to the market trends. Reconsidering financial projections helped me make them more accurate and realistic. Cons I wish the slide show feature was better for presenting my business plan. I used another service that satisfied that need. Either make it easier to generate slides quickly by using AI or remove it from your feature list. I wish the financial balance sheet was more simple allowing for recommendations and finding standard pricing in the markets. AI would be able to research this type of information easily. Pros This web-app simplifies the heavy lifting of thinking/planning of writing a business plan, a pitch deck and many more. It comes with samples template, helpful tips, and a very well written documentations. One of the most important section in a business plan is the financial planning. Upmetrics made it easy for me to put up my finance, funding, and other financial related things into the business plan. The template gives me an idea about what I should include and how to write them. Making my template, there are useful hints/ tips throughout the page. Imagine a website builder but for business plan. A business plan builder. How amazing is that? The web-app itself is very smooth to load, it's not lagging at all, very responsive. This is important as we are not working on a software installed on our computers but a web-based application. I hope soon they will introduce more integrations with other web-apps. The support responds to emails and questions quickly, this is important too! I have high hopes that they will include many outstanding features in the future. Cons So far nothing but I wish they will include more templates example. The existing templates are ok, but with more examples, it helps for someone like me who is not so experienced in writing a business plan. Background colours, insertion of company logos or photos make it look great after it is completed. We need lots of video tutorials to support users instead of texts to explain how the software can be used, Pros The financial tables look great once you are able to create them. The are visually impressive and can easily be understood. What I like most is how it is able to give the breakeven analysis straight from the inputing the right data Cons its difficult to adjust the financial tables and even to edit them from a template. So sometimes one has to do the financials from an excel and then import into the business plan. Again there are no video tutorials on youtube or on the website to guide. It's a cloud-based software that means whatever information you fill in the system is safe and will be kept 100% confidential. 4. You can find a customizable template for your specific industry. Just edit it as per your requirement and you're good to go. 5. It is easy to collaborate with team members in real time. We were able to make changes and discuss feedback, all in real time without having to switch to another chat window or application. Cons Well, my first experience with Upmetrics has been quite seamless. I just followed the prompts on the application and kept doing what I was being asked to at each step. As for cons, the biggest con of using such apps is that you can't collaborate or share or edit your copy without an internet connection. But guess we all are pretty much used to this fact now. Apart from this, I think Upmetrics can come up with multiple options for templates for each type of business. Otherwise, it has become my go-to app for all of my business planning activities. Pros Ease of use and management accessibility. Cons Would prefer more customization options. Reason for choosing Upmetrics We are a small non-for-profit group with a growing international membership base of new market entry start ups. A key element to a small business success is early stage business planning and financial planning. We did a fair amount of research for software companies that could help our membership in these areas and we recently choose UpMetrics.
