### "Review Based on Administration of NetApp's SnapCenter"

It is good easy to deploy and use. Also, does offer quick and easy restoration of VM's offered by VMWare

Pros

Backup and Restore process is quite fast as compared to other Backup technologies. Also, Resource group creation is very simple.

Cons

Does not offer wide variety of backup functionality as compared to Rubrik.

### "Best Application awareness backup software "

application awareness and it backup all my virtual machine within VC without any 3rd party tools

Only work if you have ONTAP storage and software is expensive

Pros

SnapCenter was great for a transition to another data center. It was fast and easy for us to transfer all of our data.

Cons

Our storage filled with change logs and stopped backing up without any notification.

Love it!!! Great product and NetApp support .

Pros

Very easy to setup and configure. Oracle and Exchange are both straightforward. Created explicit resource groups and they’re all taking very quick filer sided snapshots. About to bring SQL under SC control. Make sure you upgrade to v4.3.1P1 as it gets past the Oracle Java plugin Issue and the Exchange token schedule issue. Happy Snapping!

Cons

Need AQoS PowerShell scripting help. Also more additional plugin help.

Overall it has been a great improvement over the previous DFM/Snapmanager system.

Pros

We recently moved much of our replication orchestration to Snapcenter from previous offerings. It has been an easy transition and has provided an increase in functionality. The interface is clean and easy to use.

Cons

When any advanced settings are required it involves editing complex configuration files. We needed to open a case just to understand how to do it.

Fastest restore and cloning of complete environments ( servers and applications) in minutes.

Pros

the easy use and the fastest capability to restore and to clone complete environments without sacrifice performance and capacity

Cons

the downside is that the tool is not available for all the applications so far the 4.0 and non NetApp storage

it provides centralized and scalable data protection that provides a common and unified protection service.

Cons

the least i like about it is maybe a i little slow. it is one of the thing that you have to improve!
