### "A great system to understand a lead's journey"

June 30, 2022

4.0

Overall I'm happy with HubSpot's contribution our firm's processes. It's elevated our online presence and has helped us understand our leads and clients in a deeper, more meaningful way. It's a great tool in understanding your lead's journey through your marketing products and what topics or elements contribute to higher traffic and lead generation.

Pros

We have used this system for four years and have been incredibly happy with the collection of information and features presented on its platform. Even with the beginners subscription, HubSpot has allowed our firm to incorporate high-level elements into our business development process. The ease in which to schedule meetings, keep track of critical lead information has contributed to sophisticating our processes and having clients and competitors look to our firm for inspiration.

Cons

HubSpot is expensive and can sometimes take a while to see clear ROIs. It's best to understand HubSpot as a platform that succeeds with an already successful inbound marketing strategy in place. Investing in a solid SEO strategy will help justify HubSpot's value.

### "The last marketing tool you'll need"

November 16, 2023

5.0

I think the marketing hub plus the sales hub are priceless if integrated well. The best results from campaigns I ever had is when we were able to use this tool across the whole company.

Pros

Hubspot allows all your marketing efforts to be managed as an easy CSM to power all the lead and customer information as a CRM. The automation and event triggering with the product work wonders once its done well.

Cons

It can feel expensive if the rest of the company is not using its products as you need to create a hybrid model to track everything and that makes it sometimes worthless

### "Great platform for enterprise down"

June 17, 2021

5.0

MarketingHub as been a bit challenging to set up for our organization, which has 5 sub brands who all operate independent, but utilize the same Marketing team. Aside from challenges during the setup process, we find email creation and social ad management to be fairly easy to manage.

Pros

What we like most is the ability to consolidate most, if not all marketing endeavors into HubSpot. If an action or feature is not available within HubSpot, there are many providers who've partnered with HS to allow campaign data and lead gen to slow into HubSpot for accurate tracking and management.

Cons

HubSpot has a steep learning curve when it comes to setup and use. And, if not set up correctly, the information coming back is lacking and ultimate engagement suffers.

### "Prospection B2B avec Hubspot"

November 30, 2022

4.0

Pros

### "Not Just Your Average Marketing Software"

September 7, 2021

Well for all experience of HubSpot was a little scary at first. But after doing some tutorials and even actually emailing some questions I had they were very helpful. I found myself extra subscribing to their newsletter with new updates that they gave and new tips and tricks and how to manage everything through in HubSpot.

Pros

I find myself using the software way more than I want to but in a good way. Between email and lead management and having all of that in one it makes it a really easy software to check my leads and potential clients. This is saved me tons of time and lots of headache with Google drive or other software that's more static.

Cons

With all good things there it does come a price barrier where I hit a certain point where I need to start paying for it. I found myself doing that with HubSpot. I want to do more but I'm very limited in the access I've been so that is definitely a negative

Reason for choosing HubSpot Marketing Hub

I actually watched a YouTube video of HubSpot and someone using it and I saw how easy it is to qualify leads and make it easy to set up an implement for your business..

### "Excellent to follow up with your clients."

January 22, 2023

5.0

It is one of the best CRMs that I tried to have a clear analysis of marketing statistics, it has many tools that build detailed reports that you can analyze in its panel, it is also very useful to understand trends and thus it is clear for the objectives of your business.

Pros

if, I could summarize in one word what I like the most about HubSpot marketing is its integration since it can be integrated with many software, app and other solutions from the same suite. It is an excellent platform to follow up on customers, interact with them and save information in order to provide personalized attention. HubSpot's ability to track and analyze website traffic and individual page and form performance is a huge plus. Drip workflow automation is simple to set up, and every consideration has been taken into account. Drip marketing campaigns can be set up quickly and easily.

Cons

The downside to HubSpot is that the price has gone up a lot lately for a small business it might be too expensive. Another negative point is the customer service, when having a problem, they do not give a timely response, but instead have a guide to the possible solution, according to my experience, their representatives need more training to give a faster and more to-the-point solution.

### "Great, But Not The End All, Be All"

September 17, 2015

4.0

I've been using Hubspot for about 15 months now. It is great software. I love how it consolidates so many different services into one platform and makes it easy to get the analytics for that data. Now I don't have my blog in one place, my email marketing software somewhere else, my landing page software somewhere else, etc. It's all in one platform, consolidated, and fairly easy to use.

Pros

Their support answers questions fairly quickly and accurately. They are always coming out with new features.

Cons

Limited. Hubspot allows you to filter out visitors so they don't skew your analytics. Great. However, you can't filter out countries. Even though, they know based on the IP address the country of the person who submits a form or visits a site, they can't filter it out (won't filter it out). Even though all my clients are from the US, visitors from India who visit my site and try to sell me stuff all the time are skewing my analytics and making it look like my conversions are higher than they really are. Can't filter out by country. You also can't change the source of a lead. True story: I host podcast. A listener stumbled upon my podcast, went online, googled my name and found my website. Hubspot now classifies this as an 'organic lead'. The worst part is I can't change it. I've brought this up with Hubspot, and they said that they don't allow it to be changed 'to protect the integrity of the data'..... Hmm. So they'd rather have incorrect data than wrong data? So forever my analytics will be off because I can't change the source. This happens also on referrals. Somebody is referred to me, they then google my name or business and fill out a contact form, and Hubspot classifies it as organic, but really, it's not. (They don't even have a field for referral in the source). Another downside is you can't create your own lead status. So, if you get a lead to your site, and they will never buy (say they are a spammer of competitor or former customer you had a falling out with), you can't change their status to say for example: No Opportunity-Former Client No Opportunity-Marketing Agency No Opportunity-Spammer This is just the tip of the iceberg as far as cons. Still even with all these cons. they offer a great product. That said, for the price and these limitations, I will be looking around when I am close to up on my agreement.

### "My Would "Bring to a Deserted Island" Software"

September 5, 2018

5.0

Pros

Where do I start with my love for HubSpot. Our marketing team has been using HubSpot's Marketing Automation for 6 years, and we have seen a world of difference in our inbound strategy. From email drafting to analytics, social publishing, blog hosting, ABM (account-based marketing) and site traffic - it helps marketers keep track of nearly everything going on. I mainly use the social publishing and tracking feature and the email scheduling tool. I can say I wouldn't be able to organize my social conversations with customers nor would I be able to schedule posts ahead of time and track their progress with such accuracy without HubSpot. The email section of the software is great too. I can tell who opens, reads and clicks on our emails - how long they spend reading and each email's conversion rate. I can also do A/B testing to track which types of emails perform best. If your marketing team has a budget for automation software, HubSpot should definitely be on your radar. As a medium-sized company with a small marketing team of 5, it's the perfect size for us. We have HubSpot's Enterprise Level Contract, which gives us access to all of their features. If your marketing team is small - a less expensive plan might be where you want to start out. They also offer sales solutions that fully integrate with their marketing platform, so everything stays consistent and everyone from sales to marketing is on the same page.

Cons

HubSpot is pretty close to perfect, and my complaints are minor. From a social tool standpoint, I wish publishing across platforms was more consistent, often images and text sizing is a bit off in the actual social site. I also wish they would increase monitoring from just Twitter to both LinkedIn and Facebook. Design limitations have been a slight issue for us in the past as well, but usually we can work around these and design items in house.

### "An integrated approach to deploy marketing materials and analyze performance. "

August 1, 2018

5.0

We saw an initial bump in lead generation when implementing HubSpot. Then, over the course of six months, we saw steady growth - particularly in generating new contacts, leads, and conversions. The blog integration with landing pages really increased our conversion rate of customers. This made it easy for audiences to learn about our services, then go to the landing page to sign up for a free meeting / demonstration of our services. This really moved the needle in terms of lead gen. We also saw our social media following grow, not just in overall followers, but also the engagement rate of our followers. Also, HubSpot made it easy to see the most popular content, across every form of marketing. We used this info to shape our overall digital strategy, influencing the type of content we produce. HubSpots CRM also helped us keep tabs on customers who were most likely to convert to sales. This was especially important, since our business needs truly qualified leads - not just contacts - that we can work through the sales funnel and the buyers journey. The best benefit though? Keeping all our marketing materials in one place. No more jumping between multiple platforms, programs, and in-app designs. Just one platform. Saves a bunch of time and headaches.

Pros

The true value of HubSpot Marketing is the integration of every marketing platform. Blogs, email, landing pages, workflows and more can easily be created - and integrated - for an easy to use, all in one marketing portal. Primarily, my company uses HubSpot to quickly build and publish blog posts. With the built-in social media tool, you can easily share the blog post to your audiences. Then, you can repurpose the content you already created for an email campaign. Another favorite feature: the landing page builder. With this, you can create beautiful landing pages that make it easy for customers to convert to a sale, or marketing qualified lead. Another great feature is the analytics tool. You can see the performance of every marketing element in one detailed dashboard. This helps you see what's working - and what's not. This really helped my company put their marketing dollars where they're most influential and impactful.

Cons

There's only a few drawbacks to HubSpot, from my perspective. HubSpot works best when you can produce a large amount of content. HubSpot is great at making your content beautiful and effective, but if you're not producing content, you won't get the full value. Second, the pricing-tier for HubSpot can be a little steep for small businesses without discretionary income. I'd say the service is still worth it, but the investment requires discussion and commitment from the team to be a great investment. Lastly, HubSpot requires an on boarding fee with each new contract. Now, this on boarding fee isn't huge, but this was a barrier for entry for my company when we first joined. The on boarding process definitely helped my team get the most out of HubSpot, but, as I said, it was a slight hurdle for the team when considering HubSpot.

Pros

### "Tons of features, great training and support, but lots of caveats"

June 5, 2018

4.0

Pros

Amazing, if not the best user-experience in marketing automation. Workflows are particularly powerful with plenty of controls to map your buyer journeys. You can execute very powerful campaigns with tons of triggers, actions, and filtering options. I really liked their training, including the HubSpot academy training which are built very professionally. The way they present their e-Learning platform makes the information easy to digest and ultimately understand the inbound marketing methodology. That is in itself worth the cost of admission, even though this is provided free of charge.

Cons

HubSpot Marketing is an excellent solution, undoubtedly, but you will get about 80% of the features if you host your website externally. Initially, they will assess if your site can be migrated to their platform. I imagine plenty of people would rather not do that. If you want a solution that you have to marry, then HubSpot will be okay for you. They say you can utilize the majority of HubSpot features without hosting, and that is true, but some of their more advanced features such as A/B testing content on web pages or Smart Content will not be utilized. You can still utilize workflows, drip campaigns, and so forth...but these features are only available in the per month plan. Additionally, if you run multiple websites, you must have their per month plan, which is well out of our budget. On top of that, there are certain modules (i.e. paid campaign tracking, additional contacts) that they will charge additional for. For every 1000 contacts past 1000 you get with the package, they will charge an additional monthly fee. There is also a fairly high onboarding cost. You are also required to commit to one year of their services. All in all we could not afford to do business with HubSpot because A) we didn't want to move our websites under their platform and B) their price point was not accommodating to our budget. As far as features and functionality...it's all you really need for marketing automation. Their CRM is lackluster though if you want true alignment!

### "Hubspot Marketing Hub: One Stop Inbound Marketing Tool! "

July 23, 2021

5.0

Overall experience of using Hubspot has been really enriching. The way they are innovating and adding new feature on their platform is at god speed. In the future this tool will rule the inbound marketing space for sure.

Pros

Feature loaded -One stop Inbound Marketing Solution makes it a no brainer for any marketer. You can design your landing page, launch email campaigns, track leads and analyse it on an intuitive dashboard- All on a single platform of Hubspot. Hubspot is reliable and their customer service is impeccable. Also, Integration feature makes it really easy to integrate hubspot with other marketing tools.

Cons

Pricing is on the premium side. It is tough for any small size company to afford its services. Apart from pricing, their chat bot tool is still work in progress and can be improved.

### "HubSpot Marketing Hub Is The Easiest Way To Publish Content To Multiple Site In One Place"

January 5, 2023

5.0

Pros

HubSpot is much easier to use than WordPress when it comes to managing multiple sites and controlling the content that is being published. The automation tools alone is worth every penny, making it easy to create workflows based on what people click on while on your site to what happens after they fill out a form.

Cons

The only downside to HubSpot is the hefty price tag. It can get expensive when your lists begin to really grow and you have to manage multiple sites. However, it's worth the money.

### "Great Value! Very Powerful Software for Very Little! "

December 14, 2021

4.0

Overall, I've been really impressed with Hubspot Marketing. It has been incredibly important with driving leads and engagement with our new start up. That being said, I believe the Cons outlined are minor but things to keep in mind.

Pros

\- Very Powerful Software for the Value! - As a small small startup, we were really impressed with the value of the Starter CRM Suite bundle. We were able to get not only the marketing hub, but also sales hub, service hub and operations hub. - Analytics - It is crazy how much you can do with their analytics! The reporting is very good for the value. - Marketing Emails, Content Assistance - They do a great job with not only providing the above analytics, but they go over the top by providing resources (blogs, studies, etc.) within the analytics pages that can help with identifying how to improve.

Cons

\- Support - knowledgable, but at times slow with response rates... If you don't get a hold of someone on their chat functionality right away, you likely will not hear back for a day. This proved to be difficult when setting up the account at times. - Hubspot Marketing Academy - I was very excited to learn more about the tool with their educational academy videos. After going through the course, I saw that almost 30%-40% of the content was clearly focused on Hubspot account holders who had the two higher paid tiers (we have the "starter"). This was incredibly frustrating because in order to receive certification, you had to understand aspects of the platform that you didn't have... With that in mind, I was prepared to learn, but instead had to sit what felt like an informercial. This felt like a disconnect when there were other videos in the same academy course that emphasized how important it is to create content specific to your audience... I think they missed the boat on this. That said, I wish they had a way to have these certifications specific to your package. Last thing to note: it seems like this was the only certification that had this dynamic. Their other academy courses (thus far) have been good.

### "The step up for when you're getting serious"

December 11, 2020

5.0

I've worked with Hubspot as an individual, with a large multi-national company and a medium-sized non-profit. I would say that most solopreneurs should probably stick with MailChimp or MailPoet. When you have a good budget for marketing, definitely consider a move to HubSpot. I've also used Pardot by SalesForce and it's very comparable. I believe Hubspot is easier in the beginning than Pardot, while Pardot has better connectivity to outside systems (like SalesForce, of course).

Pros

Hubspot is amazing, with great tools for list building, segmentation and email marketing. The process for building emails is easy and enjoyable and the workflow automation is a breeze. I've used MailChimp and Pardot and Hubspot is very different from either of those. Hubspot is for the company that's ready to up their marketing game to the next level while still being simple enough that your team can be onboarded and working quickly.

Cons

I'm not really a fan of the blog and landing page functionality and i really think you should do those on your own website and then tie them into Hubspot, which is fairly simple to do. Also, when you get into "Deals" and integrating sales and reporting from other systems, the simplicity goes out the window. It can still be done, but it's not as easy as the email marketing functionality. Also, Hubspot has its own language and terminology, so it can be a bit confusing until you get used to it.

Alternatives considered

[Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement](https://www.capterra.com/p/134593/Pardot/)

Reason for choosing HubSpot Marketing Hub

In both cases where i was involved in the choice, it primarily came down to budget. The first instance, Pardot wasn't as built out as it is now (that was a few years ago and my memory might be fuzzy) but they are definitely a viable option now.

Pros

I Love the Call to Action Icon. It's attractive and easy to embed with links. I understand that this is quite tough for new users. However, this aspect is very unique and I find it cool. I have used this as a link to my site as well.

Cons

### "The best marketing automation platform available on the market."

July 28, 2021

5.0

It would be impossible to replace this tool with a single one. There's really nothing equivalent, bits and pieces of course, but another one-stop shop with everything you could wish simply isn't available.

Pros

The performance attribution features are out of this world. You can gain full insights on what triggered a specific visitor, lead or client to take the next step, and easily build your entire customer experience around top performing conversion paths.

Cons

It isn't for everyone, as you must invest a minimum of 890USD monthly to have full access to its potential. That being said, it will be easily justified and profitable for a vast majority of small, medium and big companies.

### "Hubspot Marketing, Making Marketing Cheaper and Easier "

April 4, 2022

5.0

Hubspot Marketing is helping me solve a number of business problems. The most important one is effective communication with my customer. This software helps me to consistently post my content on my social media platforms, it help to keep records of the communication I have had with my leads and it helps me to analyse the performance of my campaigns.

Pros

Firstly, Hubspot has very useful automation tools. It helped to reduce the amount out time spent on certain tasks. Especially tasks such as posting content on social media. Second, this software can be used for free. This is very helpful for people who are just starting out in business and do not has enough money to spend on marketing Third, it is a useful tool that helps to run adverts targeting a particular group of people or niche.

Cons

A draw back is that their contracts are not flexible. So you have to be sure that the tools you are paying for are what you need because you won't get a refund. Another con is that hubspot does not provide A/B testing on free package.

Having talked with nearly all of HubSpot's Product Managers, we've found that the brokenness of their platform is not unknown. In fact, it appears to be a common issue amongst many other businesses which they are "in the process of fixing". Maybe in a year or 2 this platform will be the cream of the crop, but as it stands we can't even tell how much revenue any of our emails are making. The level to which HubSpot is missing the basics of ecommerce is inconceivable and, to say the very least, shows a systemic problem with their organization. We should not have been sold this platform and yet here we are: floating down the river Styx without even knowing it. All ecommerce platforms MUST avoid signing any contract with HubSpot.

Pros

Aside from our incredible account representative, there is not a single aspect of HubSpot which has benefited our ecommerce business. In fact, we have spent nearly 12 months having to deal with broken transactional messages, false sends, false reporting statistics, and an entirely broken emailing platform altogether. It has put our company though serious financial pains and has not proved its worth. As it currently stands, no ecommerce business should ever sign up with HubSpot.

Cons

HubSpot, through its archaic systems, broken ecommerce bridge, and shoddy reporting tools, has single-handedly brought our marketing efforts to its knees. For nearly 12 months we have sent out broken transactional messages, been unable to track our email revenue, pour in countless hours of unnecessary developer work, and watch our revenue decline all because we chose to trust this platform. Genuinely nothing works for ecommerce. Aside from hand-coding messages like its 1999, we can't even put products in our emails. Product data itself exists in HubSpot, however, no customer has access to it. The platform is broken.

Reason for choosing HubSpot Marketing Hub

Their sales team convinced us they had all the capabilities of Klavio and then some. However, after nearly 12 months of putting out fires on the daily, we found out that the HubSpot development team sees Klavio as the "gold standard" of ecommerce email platforms. We were sold a bouquet of roses with thorns so big that they've ruptured every aspect of our business' profitability.

### "Hubspot is Feature Rich, with a Price to Match"

November 19, 2022

5.0

Hubspot allows me and my team to create automated email campaigns quickly, manage multiple social media accounts from one place, and analyze performance of both emails and posts simultaneously.

Pros

Hubspot is a comprehensive solution for businesses with deep pockets. As a group of entrepreneurs we probably would not have chosen HubSpot if not for their excellent startup pricing which allowed us "ease in" to relatively high cost. Now that we are a few years into our endeavour, we can pay the full price, and I can honestly say HubSpot was contributing factor in our success. Being able to create great customer experiences through email and social media channels all in one place with an easy handoff to the sales team has been supremely helpful.

Cons

Hubspot has an excellent onboarding process, but the sheer number of features can be a bit daunting. There are also a fair number of features we don't need in HubSpot, which feels a bit...wasteful? In my experience, it's often better to buy software that doesn't try to do too much, and stays focused.

### "Hubspot is one of the best all-in-one solutions we found and has helped Kicksite grow!"

July 29, 2021

5.0

Since day 1, we have loved this software because it condensed the multiple platforms we used previously into one all-in-one software! Almost every single department at Kicksite uses Hubspot religiously and we love how user friendly yet customizable it is for our industry.

Pros

This is a tough question because I love so many of their tools and I use a wide variety every single day! I would say my favorite tool is the email marketing tools and the landing pages that I can create for gated content, blogs and ad landing pages!

Cons

I would say the thing I like least is the design tools where you can custom design landing pages and emails. The only reason I like those least is because I'm not a developer and am still learning that part of the system.

### "A decent tool for marketing automation with a few key issues"

June 21, 2018

3.0

Hubspot is a good tool to start learning about marketing automation or if you are a small company with few leads to store. It is a visually appealing platform with some interesting functionality. The social media advanced scheduling option is one of the best features as is the ability to make easy landing pages. For basic marketing needs, this is a decent option. For larger companies with more complex needs, Hubspot has many issues that will impact speed and productivity.

Pros

The customer service team is excellent and there is a handy chat function so you don't have to wait on an email response. For social media, you can schedule posts months in advance and view your marketing activities as a monthly calendar. Landing pages are also easy and quick to set up. This is a great tool for smaller organizations with limited contacts or leads to store who need basic marketing support.

Cons

The company continues to make unnecessary updates with little notice that often seems to decrease the functionality of the tool until the changes are reversed. Email is very difficult to use as the template you set up views very differently across multiple popular email platforms (to be fair, this is likely an issue with any email automation software). You also have to change your template in a different view pane from your actual email so you're constantly switch back and forth between views for very minor changes. The simplest spacing adjustment takes forever. However, the contact database portion of Hubspot is where we have the most trouble as it's hard to sort and group leads with any way other than by making smart lists or using personas. Your database will get messy fast and there's very little way to clean it if you are a large company which means over time you will be paying for useless leads in your system you cannot find and eliminate.
