Pros What I like most about Shopify Plus is that it truly delivers the full value of every dollar you spend, provided you make the best use of it. Cons Shopify is built with Ruby on Rails, which then has it's own templating language called Liquid. If you don't like coding, this may not be for you. Viele Probleme lassen sich nur über Drittanbieter-Apps lösen – und wenn diese nicht stabil laufen, steht man schnell vor echten Herausforderungen. Für einfache Shops okay, für skalierende Marken eher frustrierend. Pros Shopify bietet einen schnellen Einstieg ins E-Commerce, viele Design-Vorlagen und eine große Auswahl an Apps. Das Backend ist übersichtlich, besonders für kleinere Teams ohne große IT-Erfahrung gut bedienbar. Cons Die allgemeine Performance ist enttäuschend: Unser Shop lädt spürbar langsam, die Suchfunktion reagiert oft erst nach mehreren Sekunden. Pros I liked Shopify Plus as an IT lead for their enterprise level security and the flexibility of the API. We were able to drop in our own custom checkout logic, SSO, and automated workflow without impacting perf. Cons The price scheme is steep, particularly for functions that often involve third-party apps. I also feel support response is slower during peak seasons. Furthermore after we cancelled Plus, they kept billing us for one of its features (POS PRO) that transitioned into a separate active subscription that we never authorized or used, charging us $5k+ over a year that they refuse to refund. Sehr gute Auswahl an Apps für zusätzliche Funktionalität. Es gibt fast nicht was es nicht gibt. The customer support hasnt been needed often, but when it has been used, the employees have been very helpful. We will continue using Shopify plus for the foreseeable future. Pros I like the ability to customize the most about shopify plus. As a growing business with complex needs, customization has been important. I also like the customer supper and ability to access beta programs. Cons 100 Variant limit is the worst thing about shopify plus. Though, as I understand it, that limit is about to be removed. There were some features that we really loved but a lot of the features we wanted, we still needed to purchase apps for. We wish there was more support throughout the entire time we were with Plus. Pros I enjoyed having the checkout liquid to customize the checkout process. I also enjoyed having access to the launch pad app. Cons The price for us wasn't worth it. It's incredibly expensive and i think it's more useful for B2B business. We have a hard time using the full value of the platform. We were promised support throughout to grow our store but it went away once the platform was fully set up.
