The console if very intuitive once understood Cons I would like this to be on the latest MongoDB version. I would like more admin features, such as shutting down and make it dormant without charge, and also making it dormant using the console The worst is not about the software but the fact that my trial period was not honoured. apparently I put in my credit card details and because of that it got rejected, and didn't receive the trial period. Staffs are knowledgeable and friendly, I would recommend Scalegrid solution to anyone who's trying to move away from Compose. Pros Easy implementation, Transparency, Easy Scale (future purposes) Cons Product itself was pretty good, nothing to complain about. Account managers and CSR was very quick to respond to all of our questions and concerns. However, owner Dharshan is hard to reach. I sent him multiple emails and never got a reply in timely manner. No issues with authentication or having the correct settings, it really just works. Cons One improvement could be done finer control - one time I updated settings incorrectly and my DB machines got stuck in a boot loop. We chose to go with ScaleGrid for several reasons, but I would say the biggest draw is the ease of use while minimizing the chance of human configuration error of our mission critical production clusters. It is really a godsend. Pros We are hosting both Redis and Mongo clusters using ScaleGrid and I couldn't be happier with their service. It literally took me less than 1 hour to setup our Production instances and I even managed to do it without any sort of documentation. The user interface is incredibly intuitive and simple to use. I couldn't imagine having to do this manually. It has saved us countless hours of work and it will continue to do so in the future. Managing our clusters day to day is so easy, I really can't believe it. Cons I have nothing bad to say about ScaleGrid. My only complaint is that I wish I knew about it sooner! Clusters are very easy to configure and deploy, and there are a lot of options when setting up. The console is very nice to use. Also the feature tu start with an hosted version of MongoDB and do the transition to the selfhosted AWS VPC. Cons We hat problems and still have with the restrictions in access managment with AWS VPC (but not your fault). We will definitely be recommended it to other companies looking to switch their DBaas providers. Pros Scalegrid's utility to create a new mongodb cluster using your own cloud (AWS in our case) was quite easy to follow. Most of the steps in the creation of the cluster are taken care of by ScaleGrid. Where manual intervention is needed, instructions are clear and precise. Cons Nothing major. Some of the documentation we came across seem to have screenshots and instructions referring to the old AWS management console interface.
