Using the Stack Team app has made it very easy to run our football team. Knowing in advance who is attending events helps you organize and prepare much better. Although the ads can be annoying it is worth it.

Pros

The app is free and very easy to use. The scheduling and attendance tracking is very helpful for organising events and sessions

The ads are very annoying on the free version. You always have to be connected to the internet.

The worst part is the setup. I have to use this for my children's Marching Band and now Winter Guard. Upon setup, it asks for your "Sport".... There is no Winter Guard or Color Guard.... so now what? Because of this unanswered question, I can't proceed?? Also, integrating Google Calendar is simply impossible. I'd rather just print a calendar on paper and hang on my fridge.

Pros

The idea of receiving instant communications about a sport is a good idea... but a simple email or text is still easier than this app.

Cons

The interface is confusing. I have a college degree and it is still very difficult to navigate. Not simple or intuitive at all. I would hate to see grandparents try to use this for their grand kids. I have worked in the digital Help Center industry for over 20 years and I can tell you EXACTLY what happens during the Stack Team Apps R&D sessions.... Their IT team programs the app, with all the logic and code that they know, then release it expecting normal people to proceed with equal logic. They may test it with their employees. Perhaps a "brake it" session. But when they have a difficulty, the IT guy looking over their shoulder explains their error. I GUARANTEE they never bring in a normal parent or administrator and say "go", and watch them setup and operate this app successfully without assistance.

Great for bringing people together for events, volunteer rosters make things easier in one place, like being able to link key information for our club.

Cons

Unstable. Particularly around chats / chat groups. Chat groups lose data, seem unreliable, and sometimes the chat within events isn't visible. It would be good to see more investment into the reliability of the app and platform.

Would be nice to do a schedule that can be uploaded with multiple teams for a league. Or if stack can make a schedule based on teams and days played.
