### "AMAZING Customer Service & Support"

From the start - even when were were just exploring options - the customer journey has been helpful, responsive and proactive. I feel like each person working with me actually KNOWS me and wants to help with anything I need - even if it's not something they currently offer. This alone is worth our subscription! (We have Givebutter+)

Pros

The Customer Service and Support is AMAZING!! Also, I love that the team is receptive to feedback and are working to match up their roadmap for the future with the needs of their customers.

Cons

We are just learning the system - and so there are times that we can't find the features that we "know" are there. As we learn this system, I know that will get better.

### "Great for the Newbie"

Bring new to the non-profit world it has been easy to learn how to grow a CRM, run campaign pages, and utilize their email system.

Pros

GiveButter is easy to use. I have attended many of their seminars and they are very helpful with getting started. Also, when I am stuck they are quick to respond.

Cons

For their Campaign Pages I wish there was a little bit more flexibility on how it looks. Also, when I load photos to my page I have have to resize before they can be uploaded. Sometimes the Canva and GiveButter connection is glitchy.

Pros

I like that it gives little hints on how to better use the system. It's super smart and thinks of things for us.

Cons

When we signed up, I was a little sad that texting function was no longer available on the free version.

### "An ally for your fundraising"

I have a small business that also does advocacy work. I needed a trustworthy fundraiser platform that wouldn't charge me outrageous fees or for a subscription. My campaign page was easy to create, share, and link to my websites.

Pros

It's so easy to start and manage a campaign! It's straightforward, but also has lots of features to help share your cause. The fees are extremely fair, and there aren't any minimums before they'll release the funds. Payouts are fast, and the pages look professional.

Cons

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this platform! My experience with givebutter has been nothing but good.

### "A great set of tools and a sincere team ready to support your organization"

Every single member of the Givebutter team, from initial consultation, to training, onboarding, implementation, optimization, and support, has genuinely cared about our organization's success. The company and team share a fun company culture, and they believe in their mission to help nonprofits and "change makers" find success with their supporters and campaigns. I must admit, after coming from a CRM that charged us several thousands of dollars per year, I sleep better knowing our small nonprofit won't be gated away from our CRM, our supporters, or ability to communicate with them. Givebutter's "free forever" tier remains remarkable, and the extra features and tools enabled via their optional Givebutter Plus upgrade are compelling and reasonable. Even with Givebutter Plus, there are no contracts to worry about.

Pros

Givebutter's comprehensive tools have been easy to learn and fun to use. Our onboarding team, further supported by the free Givebutter Academy course and live Bootcamp webinars, really helped set us up for success. The Givebutter team and business model have been genuine, sincere, and transparent. I personally believe they understand how our organizations' success is their shared success, so they work hard to make sure we're in a good place with the platform and its features. Within a couple of months, we migrated decades of contacts and transactions and utilized most major features beyond the core CRM, including physical mailings, hosted fundraiser pages, embedded donation, ticketing, and newsletter signup widgets for our website, email newsletters, ticketed events, and more. It's also great to be able to customize whether or not we want to absorb a fair percentage fee or ask supporters to optionally "tip" Givebutter on a per-campaign basis. We appreciate being able to have that option.

Cons

If you're coming from a huge, sprawling CRM that can accommodate every scenario for a massive, complex organization, and you actually \*use\* all those features, you may find some (likely temporary!) limitations with Givebutter's CRM features. That said, the team is regularly and transparently updating and improving the tools based on user feedback. Whenever we check in with our onboarding, implementation, and success teams to seek feedback or optimize a campaign, they're kind to proactively "vote up" our various feature requests on their public product roadmap. Sometimes, perhaps coincidentally, these are implemented within a matter of days, so that's always nice!

The combination of no contracts, no fees, a terrific "free forever" set of tools, and the ability to customize our pricing/payment model on a per-campaign basis was great for our needs.

Anytime we are presented with another platform, it is hard to argue with what we get out of Givebutter. I would say the only thing that is really separating Givebutter from other competitors is AI analysis with other giving methods. Otherwise, we are proud Givebutter users and am happy to refer people to Givebutter!

Pros

Honestly, the free level is incredibly generous for what functionality is offered.

Cons

The auction fees are a bit steep but its hard to complain about that!

So far, our experience with Givebutter has been great! Whenever we've had questions or needed help, the Givebutter team has been very supportive and ready to help.

Pros

I love the "all-in-one" features of Givebutter. From email campaigns to digital events to in person events, ticket selling, and live auctions - Givebutter really has everything we need to successfully fundraise.

Cons

There are some small features that could be more intuitive. I would like it to be easier to bulk archive contacts when they have unsubscribed or an email has bounced.

Pros

Givebutter is a platform that is easy to use, intuitive, and clean. They have created a product that combines many features of other CRM tools, but all in one place. For me, the best part of being a Givebutter partner is that they actually listen to you. We have had several calls with account manager staff and every single time they HEAR our feedback, and then they take it to make the product even better. Givebutter truly wants you to have what you need, and will work to make the platform all you could dream of and more. The customer service is like nothing I’ve ever experienced.

Cons

The only thing I can say is that I wish we didn’t switch over right when they made Givebutter plus an option, but the Plus is so useful and cost-effective that it doesn’t really apply anymore.

### "Givebutter (Free version)"

Givebutter has been great as a free option, good to enough to the point where we were able to replace a paid version of another software with it. It lacks a lot of fine-tuning options for exports and can be slow on some fronts, but it works great for managing donations as a primary tool. The built-in duplicate management tools are not very effective, requiring a lot of manual merging. Still, it is rare to find anything as effective and easy to pick up as this in the realm of free SaaS products, and I imagine the paid version with reporting makes spotting duplicates easier within the service.

Pros

For a free product, this is an effective payments handler and an impressive database software for small nonprofits. The included import wizard makes managing data over time easy enough for one database admin, and the email integration with Canva is great for nonprofit staff in general.

Cons

Duplicate management is not good at spotting the same contributor between donations, as it does not check secondary data for possible duplicates. Segments (at least in the free version) has some issues with exports. For example, organizing data there with the intention of then downloading a csv still leads to a full list of contacts or transactions rather than a pared-down export. The UI can also be a bit odd, with buttons hard to locate, and the tax summaries take quite a while to generate even for a relatively small number.

Excellent. I have been very happy since I made the switch from another platform. The free functionality is great and I have upgraded as well on the free trial and will likely purchase the upgrade prior to my next campaign as it has additional functionality I liked.

Pros

It's EASY to use - doesn't require a lot of training and if you do need to figure something out - the chats and tutorials work will. It's intuitive and not overbuilt while having all the basic functions a fundraiser needs to manage their donors and activities.

Cons

The only con is creating hard copy/mailed letters isn't an available function. However, on other platforms - this isn't the easiest either and I just have a work around for this.

My overall experience with Give butter was AMAZING!! I came from Network for Good and Give butter is hands down a better platform.

Pros

I love the workflow process that allows you to schedule tasks ahead of time. These tasks are everything from emails to phone calls based on certain triggers that you preset. Makes communication and donor cultivation a breeze!!

Cons

The data hygiene process was somewhat tricky in the beginning however it did become better as time and understanding went by!!

### "Givebutter Success! "

I have never had a problem or issue with transferring the funds to my bank account. I have to find the time to watch the tutorials to get the most out of what Given has to offer.

Pros

It is fairly easy to manage for someone like me who knows very little about navigating websites, CRMs, donation platforms, etc.

Cons

I cannot figure out how to make my donation page without a donation/monetary goal. I also want to learn how to send emails to former diners to donate again.

Their ticket sales features says donations and doesn't look like a ticketing platform so patrons are often confused if they are donating or buying tickets. I also don't like that too much info is on the ticketing page that patrons don't normally see when buying tickets on traditional platforms

So far, so good but i would really like to see more of a 1-1 person interface! learning from modules isn't conducive to learning as good as it is from a one-to-one session.

Pros

Seems to be user friendly for the most part. but I still have questions on some of the entries. It hard not being able to have someone guide you through personally through confusing entries.

Cons

That in-person training isn't available. It seems so impersonable to0 have questions answered through a Chatbox.

Really positive. It's easy to use, affordable, looks super sleek, and has resulted in an increase in donations for our organization because people don't get navigated to a 3rd party site.

Pros

Givebutter is easy to use and integrate into your Wordpress site so the donors never have to leave your site. They also allow you to set goals and have teams to raise money for campaigns. Fees can also be picked up by donors with making it very clear that if they don't a certain percentage of their donation gets eaten up by transaction fees. This has resulted in roughly 90% of our donors picking up the fee charge. Givebutter also is integrated with Stripe, so the transaction reports are super simple to run.

Cons

The feature generating thank you letters from the system is lacking something, but all the rest of the features are easy to use, so this isn't a deal breaker for my organization. It just won't replace your current donor software for tracking and providing thank you letters and emails.

Givebutter was easy to sign up, set up, and start taking in donations. Our organization is incredibly satisfied with Givebutter!

Pros

Givebutter is free to use! It is incredibly user friendly, so we didn't have to waste time with a ton of technically-difficult onboarding or training. Givebutter also has great support! Every time I have a question, I get a clear and quick answer.

Cons

While the pricing is free, there is a cost for premium features. The contact limit for these features seems a little low.

How easy it is to use. The ability to share data with the Board at monthly meetings through the reports generated from the site.

Cons

Data entry when trying to add churches. I have to break their name into "First" and "Last" names. Also wish I could add a husband's first name and woman's first name.
