LinkedIn Jobs is a powerful recruiting platform that provides access to a large pool of professional candidates across a wide range of industries and experience levels. The resume database and search functionality make it easy to identify and proactively source qualified candidates, and the platform is intuitive and easy to navigate for recruiters and hiring managers alike. One of LinkedIn's greatest strengths is the quality and volume of talent available through its resume database. The filtering tools can help narrow searches and identify candidates who appear to be a strong fit on paper. However, I found that the job posting qualification filters did not consistently eliminate unqualified applicants, which resulted in additional time spent screening candidates who did not meet basic requirements. I was also disappointed by the overall cost relative to the number of qualified candidates ultimately generated. Additionally, due to the growing number of scammers and fraudulent recruiting messages on LinkedIn, some candidates appeared hesitant to engage with recruiter outreach, leading to lower response rates than expected. Despite these challenges, LinkedIn remains one of the better platforms available for sourcing professional talent, particularly when leveraging its resume search capabilities rather than relying solely on job postings.

Pros

What I liked most about using LinkedIn for job posting and resume searching was: User-friendly and intuitive platform Robust resume database with a large candidate pool Strong search and filtering capabilities for sourcing candidates Effective for identifying passive candidates Widely recognized and trusted professional network

Cons

Where I felt our experience using LinkedIn as a recruiting source fell short was: Expensive compared to some competing recruiting platforms Job qualification filters did not consistently screen out unqualified applicants Lower candidate response rates due to concerns about scams and unsolicited outreach Return on investment can vary significantly depending on the role being filled

We had an awful experience using ZipRecruiter; the quality of candidates were not even worth interviewing and their "matching" program did not provide relevant candidates for our jobs.

My overall experience was mediocre. It’s really difficult to hire in my field but linked in didn’t help.

Pros

This product was easy to use. Very intuitive and really required no training. I was able to post a job in just a few minutes.

Cons

I don’t get very good results. Lots of bad matches and poorly written resumes and profiles to sort through. I really wish it filtered better.

I really do like the overall experience of using LinkedIn. It is really easy to find work and look for people looking for work.

Pros

The Pros of LinkedIn Jobs I think is that a lot of people showcase that they are looking so it's easy to use and find people.

Cons

The Cons about LinkedIn is that there also seems to be a lot of spam. I guess that's the only way I can describe it.

My overall experience has been very positive. It helps me find qualified candidates here in the Guayaquil area and beyond. While it has some minor drawbacks like cost, the reach and the quality of the professional network make it worth it. I would definitely recommend it for any company looking for skilled staff.

Pros

I really liked how intuitive the platform is. As a supervisor, I don't have a lot of extra time to spend on complicated software. LinkedIn Jobs makes it very easy to filter candidates and see their full professional backgrounds instantly. The quality of applicants is noticeably higher compared to other free job boards.

Cons

Honestly, the biggest downside is the pricing for direct messaging (InMail) if you want to reach someone outside your network. It can get a bit expensive if you are recruiting for multiple positions at once. Also, the sheer number of notifications can be overwhelming sometimes.

Overall it was a great experience. I like the interaction that I can get with candidates and with organizations. I like to see where my candidates stand in comparison to the pool.

Pros

I do like the amount of candidates that you can reach with this platform and I personally appreciate the options for the candidates on the employer side and the candidate side.

Cons

That it didn't link to our company page. As a person in HR it is hard when our employees are posting on their own without some protection to the organization.

My overall experience with LinkedIn is really good as i increased my network using this app. It helps me to show my experience and qualifications through my profile. It is a nice app for jobseekers to find a perfect job for them. LinkedIn is a professional and trusted app by many employers and employee including myself. I recommend this app to all the people around me.

Pros

LinkedIn Jobs is a really good app for the employers due to it's large network. Most of the features are free and it is a must for Jobseekers. It is quite expensive when it comes to premium features. It is very easy to use and apply for jobs. LinkedIn is a wonderful app for the employers to track, review and chat with candidates.

Cons

Customer service is okay and it is not that fast. However, most questions does get answered by FAQs. It is quite expensive for premium features.
