Overall, my experience with Rippling has been excellent. It removes the administrative headache of being an international contractor. I don't have to worry about whether my hours are logged correctly or how the currency exchange will be handled: Rippling just takes care of it. While the security settings can be a bit sensitive, the reliability of the platform and the ease of use far outweigh that minor inconvenience. It feels like a modern tool designed for the modern, global workforce.

Pros

The standout feature of Rippling is how it simplifies the complexity of international payments. As a contractor, the "hands-off" approach to currency conversion is a lifesaver. The platform handles the transition of payments into Euros flawlessly, ensuring that what I see on my schedule is precisely what arrives in my account without hidden complications. Additionally, the user interface is exceptionally well-structured. Unlike other legacy HR systems that feel cluttered, Rippling offers a clean, intuitive experience where my schedules and payroll history are always easy to find. It’s a powerful "all-in-one" hub that bridges the gap between time management and global compensation perfectly.

Cons

The only significant drawback is the aggressive 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication) and session timeout policy. Security is important, but the current configuration is a bit overzealous. There are times when the web platform logs me out after just five minutes of inactivity, requiring a fresh login and a new security code. It would be a massive improvement if Rippling allowed for "Recognized/Trusted Devices" to extend session lengths. Having to reauthenticate multiple times during a single workday feels redundant and interrupts the workflow. PS: I have to say that this seems to have improved in recent weeks!

Overall, we are very pleased with the improved capabilities over our previous system, and the ability to integrate it with our existing IdP to offload a lot of manual tedium in managing user and app access. The implementation team was wonderful to work with, and support has been very helpful. Their training and documentation materials have been great to review and ramp up our team.

Pros

A modern user interface that is easier to navigate and configure compared to our current system. Having the HRIS as master functionality for our current IdP is going to be of huge benefit to automating our employe lifecycle management.

Cons

They are still building out their available third-party integrations, and some require you purchase a plan/subscription through them to unlock the full benefits. This may be worthwhile, but requires some more exploration.

An interesting and thought-provoking experience although I know it will be one of the last systems I choose to connect with in future.

Pros

Rippling seems to cover all areas of payroll, including expenses and management of holidays and personal data etc. The managing agent has great customer support and are easy to communicate with.

Cons

In my 30 plus years of payroll processing experience, I can say that Rippling is a busy processing system. The system was clearly written for an American market and modified for the UK processes. It wouldn't surprise me if certain issues arose during and after implementation.

We strongly recommend looking elsewhere before choosing Rippling. Our experience has been deeply concerning, especially around payroll accuracy—the most critical function of any HR platform. Rippling recently admitted that a system bug caused employees to be paid overtime and double overtime that they never worked. This was not user error—it was a failure in their payroll calculation logic. We were then instructed to recover those funds from employees, placing the burden and risk on us for a mistake we did not make. This alone is unacceptable. But it’s part of a larger pattern. We have experienced repeated system failures, including: Incorrect, system-generated paychecks during offboarding PTO and time-off miscalculations affecting final wages Broken workflows creating duplicate or unintended payments Benefits enrollment errors leading to compliance risks Severe system delays (up to 45 minutes for basic actions) Support has been equally frustrating. We’ve been passed between teams with no clear ownership or resolution. Issues remain unresolved while operations are disrupted. These are not minor bugs—these are fundamental failures in payroll and compliance. A platform handling employee wages should not operate at what feels like a beta level. While Rippling acknowledged the payroll error and partially covered costs, they refused to take full responsibility, leaving us to manage the consequences with our employees. If payroll accuracy, compliance, and reliability matter to your business, we cannot recommend Rippling. There are better, more stable alternatives available.

Overall, Rippling has been a great all-in-one platform that significantly streamlines end-to-end HR. The platform is robust, easy to use, and continuously improving. Most importantly, Rippling's customer support is by far the best I've experienced compared to other HRIS providers.

Pros

Rippling's intuitive UI/UX. The platform is easy to navigate, which makes managing HR processes much more efficient. Their customer support is also exceptional. One standout feature is the ability to hop on a live Zoom call with a support agent who can walk you through issues in real time when you feel stuck. Having payroll, HR, compliance, performance management, device management, and employee records all in one platform is incredibly convenient and helps streamline day-to-day operations.

Cons

Like any tech platform, there's always room for improvement as features and integrations continue to evolve. The Workflow Studio and Recruiting app could be more user-friendly and offer greater customization. Workflow Studio has a learning curve, and additional training resources, updated articles, or courses would help users get up to speed more quickly. The Recruiting app is somewhat limited in terms of customization. For example, the hiring pipeline and interview plans require five stages, whereas our process only includes an application review, a final interview, and an offer stage. More flexibility in configuring recruiting workflows would make the tool more adaptable to different hiring processes.

What we like most about Rippling is how it brings payroll, HR, benefits, onboarding, and device management together in one easy-to-use platform. The automation features save a significant amount of time by reducing manual tasks, and the system is intuitive enough that employees and administrators can quickly learn how to use it. We also appreciate how seamless onboarding and employee management are, making day-to-day operations much more efficient.

Cons

What we like least about Rippling is that some of the more advanced features can take time to fully learn, especially when customizing workflows or settings. While the platform is generally intuitive, there can be a slight learning curve when exploring all of its capabilities.

I'm constantly impressed by Rippling as a whole, but the password management system and IT tools are very nice. I helped us pick out Rippling for our company at Strider Bikes, and we added on the IT bundle because we we're using a free desktop only tool for managing passwords and we were running into a lot of issues with that.

Pros

I love how customizable the Password management is, (RPass). You can organize through folders, tags, departments and vaults. Each password can have its own sharing permissions which is incredibly handy when managing passwords for departments and team. You can mark a password as "Marketing" and set up rules so that anyone who currently works in Marking has access. Really nice. The other IT management aspect that I really love is when hiring a new employee, I can auto create accounts for Basecamp, Trainual, Microsoft, NetSuite, etc. So handy.

Cons

When you forget your password for Rippling or Rpass, and you reset it, you lose all of your RPass personal vault passwords. That's a huge risk! I've recommended to my team to save every password in the company vault and just be strict with the permissions because I would hate to spend hours putting passwords in and if I for some reason need to reset my password, all that work is gone. I understand it's a security thing, but I wish there was a workaround.

Even if you’re not particularly tech-savvy, it’s quick to learn and easy to navigate without feeling overwhelmed. One of the biggest advantages is how much time it saves. Tasks that would normally take multiple steps—or even multiple systems—are handled in one place. Whether it’s onboarding, payroll, or managing employee data, everything feels efficient and well-organized. Another thing I really appreciate is how forgiving the system is. Mistakes happen, but Rippling makes it simple to go back, make corrections, and move forward without unnecessary frustration. That kind of flexibility makes a big difference in day-to-day use. Overall, Rippling delivers strong value by combining powerful features with a user-friendly design. Overall, I really liked Rippling, and I would've been happy to continue using it. Its capabilities heavily outweigh its deficiencies.

Pros

Rippling is an HR platform for employees that is easy to use and informative. My favorite aspects were the employee tree that shows you who does what. It makes collaboration between departments in a big company a little bit easier because you know who to contact! Doing performance reviews is easy too. Finally, there was never a pay day that came late, which is likely in part due to my company, but Rippling did their job too. Overall, this is a solid product! I'll note that my company decided to move to Insperity, which may be related to the price of Rippling.

Cons

The PTO platform was confusing. I accidentally used hours that were for the next year during a prior year because I thought that I needed to use the quantity of hours that were left. But it turned out the way it added up was more than I had left, and it took away from the next year. I wouldn't have done this if the platform were a bit clearer. It should be easy math, but it turned out it wasn't quite as easy as one would expect!

As an Engineering Manager at a SaaS startup, I use it daily for payroll, contractor hours approval, leave management, and even my work permit was handled through it. The experience has been consistently smooth — everything is well organized, workflows are intuitive, and the support team is genuinely responsive and knowledgeable. It's the kind of platform that quietly does its job well without getting in the way.

Honestly, two things stand out. First, the platform is really well organized everything is where you'd expect it to be, and it doesn't feel overwhelming despite how much it covers. Second, their support team is genuinely excellent. Anytime I've had a question, the response has been fast and actually helpful, not just a link to a help article. For a busy Engineering Manager, that combination of good UX and reliable support makes a real difference.

Cons

The onboarding experience for new users could be more intuitive. Given how feature-rich the platform is, new team members can feel slightly overwhelmed when they first log in. Role-based onboarding flows or guided checklists tailored to each user's role would make the initial ramp-up much smoother. That said, this is a minor observation, once you're past the initial learning curve, the platform is excellent.

Rippling is a platform with strong potential and a compelling product vision, supported by good integrations and a capable sales organisation. However, ongoing stability issues, slow resolution times for complex problems, and limited visibility into product changes make day-to-day operations more difficult than they should be. With improved platform reliability, clearer roadmap communication, and a stronger focus on quality over speed, Rippling could deliver much more consistently on its promise.

Pros

Rippling has a highly engaging and polished sales team that does a great job explaining the platform’s potential and capabilities. From a systems perspective, Rippling has also helped streamline key integrations, particularly between Rippling and Azure. This has meaningfully supported our IT teams in managing user access, provisioning, and deprovisioning more efficiently, reducing manual effort and improving overall control.

Cons

The biggest challenge has been platform stability across core modules. Features can break or change without notice, and fixes in one area often create downstream issues elsewhere. This creates operational friction and increases reliance on support and engineering escalation. There is also a noticeable gap between what is sold as available or “ready” functionality and what is consistently stable in practice. Stronger testing, clearer communication around changes, and more realistic positioning of product maturity would significantly improve the experience.

My experience is very good. Rippling helps me receive my salary and reimbursements quickly. It is very easy to navigate and not confusing at all. I use it for everything: checking my payments, requesting time off, and managing my team. It is a great tool for people working internationally.

Pros

I like that payments arrive on time and very quickly. It is excellent for international payments because I can receive money in dollars and Colombian pesos without problems. The interface is very easy to use on my phone and computer. Also, requesting expense reimbursements is fast and simple.

Cons

I don't receive emails when my vacation days are approved; I have to check the app manually, but there is probably a configuration that I have disabled to mute all notifications. Also, when the company rehired me, a new account was created. This caused me to lose the configuration for my dollar account in Panama, and I had to contact support to fix it, because the only available country was Colombia. Additionally, the integration with Google Calendar generates an event when time off is approved; however, it is not an Out of Office event, so it doesn't automatically decline meetings, and the unavailable icon won't appear in Slack, so I have to manually create the Out of Office event.

Compared to Asanify (which felt buggy and less reliable), Rippling is much more stable. I rarely need to reach out to HR because everything is available inside Rippling, so it has become the main HR portal for us.

Pros

Rippling has the best UI I’ve used in an HRMS. Everything is clean and easy to navigate. The org chart is properly organised and very clear. Time and leave tracking is also well structured, and the leave categories are separated nicely (annual leave, optional holidays, etc.). I also like that my profile has all details in one place like joining date, employee number, salary details, and more. Performance reviews have been smooth and formatting is perfect.

Cons

The learning curve is a bit steep in the beginning. We also faced a few onboarding issues while shifting from Asanify, but support helped and it got sorted before payroll.

Pros

Rippling is incredibly easy to use. I liked how everything -payroll, benefits, and onboarding - was in one place. The tool can be customized easily for learning and goal management. The user interface is clean, modern and intuitive and is very user friendly.

Cons

Sometimes the customer support response time felt slow when I had any urgent questions. The mobile application is convenient to use but doesn't have all the features that are available in the desktop version and is sometimes buggy.

Once setup, it has all the features I need to get my expenses submitted and get reimbursed. It's saved me a ton of time compared to our previous platform. Would highly recommend!

The digital card feature is particularly innovative and something I had not used before for handling expenses, which makes the process very efficient. Additionally, Rippling greatly simplifies the reimbursement process due to its ability to read all information from receipts, significantly reducing the hassle of submitting expense reports. The app ensures my manager is promptly notified of submissions, speeding up the reimbursement cycle. The ease of personal setup, specifically obtaining the digital per diem card and linking my bank account for reimbursements, also stands out as a convenient feature that enhances my experience with the platform.

Cons

I find the user interface could do with some very minor navigational improvements, especially for my personal use case involving expense reports. As someone with experience in UX/UI design, I'm aware my expectations might be higher, but it feels like navigating to the necessary functions could be more intuitive. It takes too many taps to access certain features, and when submitting an expense report, I'm often required to renavigate the app, which interrupts the workflow. What I like most about Rippling is how easy it is to use in day-to-day work. At NextDay I mainly use it to log my hours, check my pay statements, and review my benefits. Having everything in one place makes a big difference. Cons

While the initial setup for specific payroll configurations took some effort, the automation it provides for onboarding and employee management is unmatched by other platforms we've used As you add more modules (IT, HR, Device Management), the per-user monthly cost adds up quickly, which might be steep for very small startups.

Pros

The best part is having IT, HR, and Payroll in a single dashboard. It eliminates the need for multiple logins and manual data entry across different platforms. Tax filings and direct deposits have been 100% accurate and on time since we switched.

Cons

Generally very stable, though I’ve encountered minor UI glitches during bulk employee updates During peak times (like year-end filing), the response time from support can be slower than expected for a premium-priced product

Overall, it is expensive however, it takes care/consolidates of a lot of tasks needed in HR. Setup did take time however the process was smooth after setup. The interface is very user-friendly and the automation tools helped ensure fast and live updates to features. Also there are a lot of potential to expand it to IT or Finance, if needed.

I like how with Rippling almost all the information you need is accessible in on e place. Things like pay stubs, tax documents, benefits, and other personal information is easy to find, which makes managing all tasks HR-related much more convenient. You can find things like your upcoming work schedule, payroll, PTO and also have the ability to submit requests directly on there.

Cons

Although I am not on the HR part of rippling so I do not understand the full perspectives of those that are on it. Still, there are a lot of features that are gated by other features so Rippling does try to make you buy more than you need, like the headcount feature. Also it is buggy, even for a relativity small company that used it whenever I worked for them.

Rippling make the HR managment extremely easy. Before i had to email HR team to get any detail about my payment, or to notify about my working hours or any expense i had. Rippling has it all in their software, i can register my time worked, check my paystub, know exactly what im being paid for and then they manage the payments, track them and every step is way easier than it was before

Cons

Not sure as i only use it to register hours and receive payment and, honestly, it was perfect for that.

While I wasn't involved in the purchasing decision, the platform delivers the basic functionality needed for leave management without major complications. It provides good value for standard attendance tracking and leave requests. Ease of Use: The learning curve was minimal. I could figure out how to apply for leaves and navigate the portal within my first use without any training. The interface is intuitive enough for quick daily tasks like checking leave balance or submitting WFH requests. Employee Management: The self-service features work well for managing my own attendance and leaves. I have complete visibility into my leave history, pending requests, and available balances across different categories. Customization: Adding theme options and customizable widgets would greatly improve the user experience. Bugs and Issues: The main issue is the inability to edit or modify leave requests once submitted. Even minor corrections require canceling the entire request and creating a new one, which is time-consuming and inefficient. Employee Payroll: I primarily use Rippling for leave management, so I have limited exposure to payroll features. However, the integration between attendance and payroll seems seamless based on what I can observe. Overall, Rippling is a solid platform for basic leave and attendance management. It handles core functions reliably, I would rate it 4 out of 5 stars - effective and dependable.

I don't need to contact HR for basic information, which saves time.This flexibility is very helpful for last-minute situations. Transparency: Request status is always clear - I can see whether my leave is pending, approved, or rejected without having to follow up separately with my manager or HR team.

Cons

No Edit Functionality: Once a leave request is submitted, there's no option to edit or modify it. If I make a mistake in dates or need to change the leave type, I have to cancel the entire request and create a new one. This is frustrating and time-consuming, especially when the change is minor. An "Edit Request" button would save a lot of hassle.

My overall experience is a positive one. Very easy to use and the help option is able to give you a true answer. It's a great system that allows for open communication with PTO requests and timecard changes with my employees.

Pros

Ease of use! Very user friendly and gives my employees the opportunity to make corrections and time adjustments on their own, which helps greatly when it's time to do payroll. I can also see any time card errors immediately and can make those adjustments throughout the week rather than at the end of the pay period.

Cons

The amount of emails my new hires get during onboarding. That is the only complaint that I have at this time.
