Pros I use rippling for HR core tasks and i really like its automation capabilities. Automation part is great because routine HR tasks like sending offer letter or documents can be automated easily. Previously, sending offer letters, NDAs, or onboarding materials was fully manual. Also, customer service is quite responsive and helpful. Rippling helps us manage our employees’ data efficiently, making onboarding and tracking time off and attendance super easy Cons The current Slack integration is a bit basic. I really need it to automatically notify managers on Slack whenever someone applies for time off. For a workaround, we actually built a custom integration for this. Pros I really love how easy it is to set up your personal account. The user interface that Rippling uses is really top-notch. Another thing we love is that we have never had an issue with the website, which means that they are on top of any problems and deploy fixes before they even become a problem. Cons The main problem that we have with Rippling is the fact that payroll payments occur around the 15th and 30th of every month, but it can vary slightly, and it would make more sense if the payments happened on every other Friday or Monday. Rippling has made many mistakes in processing year-end reports, including employee W2s and form 940. Their support is not hands on to dive-in and fix the problem. Even after aknowledged the problem, they gone pass the deadline, still can not correct the W2 error. AI is great at answering questions, but no one is fixing problems. Pros First impression is great, AI is helpful to get quick answers, but payroll data has mistakes and support is kicking the problem around for weeks. Cons Sales pitch is great. Cons Sometimes the customer support response time felt slow when I had any urgent questions. I also appreciated the "to-do" so nothing was missed when needing to set up my initial account. Cons The only negative I have to say is that our company still using additional platforms for some of our HR needs (i/e 401K plan, etc) but other than that, it is nice what is housed with Rippling and I am happy to have transitioned over. Easy to manage employees Cons I feel that in Rippling, I don’t have any major dislikes, but I am not comfortable with the Cloudflare security check on the login page. You are able to easily edit your information on Rippling. Rippling also allows for integration with other employment apps, such as your companies 401k platform and insurance platforms. It has so many functions all on one platform and makes it much easier on employees and employers by consolidating all HR and payroll needs in one location. Cons The thing I liked least about Rippling was that occasionally there would be glitches switching over to a 3rd party app from within Rippling--for example, when clicking on my company's 401 (k) website through Rippling, I wish it would have stored my login already and that I didn't have to re-enter my information. With Rippling, the majority of this process is now handled by one automated process called offboarding. Pros Rippling has done the most to save our time by creating an automatic hiring/offboarding process. Once a person is hired, they create all necessary paperwork (e.g. e-signatures), tax documents, etc. They have also made it possible to have all of the employee information in one place (payroll, HR, IT) rather than using multiple systems that did not interact. Cons For us, it's the price structure. Everywhere I've read says it costs $8/employee; however, this is based on Rippling doing only "HR" functions. If you add payroll, etc., the actual cost will show up after speaking with your sales representative. In addition, we were charged additional fees for implementing that were not clearly stated before hand. CTO Used the software for: 1-3 years ### "Rippling just takes everything and puts it all together" July 29, 2026 5.0 It fixed the problem of having all of our HR/Payroll/Benefits information spread across numerous random documents/spreadsheets/emails etc. Before, we would have to contact HR and request the information, then wait for them to locate it and now I simply view my own vacation balance and employee benefits online by myself without needing to contact anyone. Pros I like how I can do almost every function from my mobile app in about 2 minutes vs. sending an email to HR and waiting at least 3 days for a response. Also the booking time off viewing my pay stub or updating my home address were super easy. And also glad it didn’t crash when I tried to update my W-4 last week and it just gets the job done w/o too many options. Cons The search bar completely sucks 50% of the time — if you type something that isn’t exactly worded as per the system’s usage, you get no results and you have to browse through endless screens. Navigating thru forms requires you to go thru about 4 levels of menus … very frustrating when you’re in a hurry. My auto correct constantly changes words while I’m typing this & it’s driving me insane. They really need to un-bury the navagation.
