Going back and forth via email and multiple meetings only to be backdoor with an unacceptable pricing structure. Pros Nothing. There was not a single aspect of this nearly month-long process that stood out as a positive experience whatsoever. Cons I explored Rippling as a potential payroll and HR solution for my small business. What followed was nearly a month-long process filled with consistent emails and multiple meetings, all building toward what I hoped would be a viable solution. After investing that significant amount of time, I was blindsided by a quote that came in well over $400 per month. This was never communicated upfront, and that lack of transparency is a serious problem. Had Rippling been upfront about their pricing from the start, I could have made an informed decision without going through a weeks-long evaluation process only to find out the cost was never going to be viable for my business. I would strongly caution other small business owners to push hard for transparent pricing before investing any time in their sales process. The multi-factor authentication is a huge positive for me. It makes my information feel safe. Pros One thing I enjoy about Rippling is how easy it is to use for me. The fact that I have multiple applications in one makes everything a lot more convenient. With payroll as well, it is very efficient. I am able to see when I'm going to get paid, and the tracker is really helpful. So processing the payments on the pay dates is amazing for me. Having to reach out to the support team if there are any issues as well, I get timely responses from them, which is efficient, and as mentioned with the number of apps, I am able to effectively manage my time. Anytime I have needed to update something personal like my address or my W-4, it took a minute. I never think about HR systems unless I need them, and when I do need them, Rippling just works. That is the highest compliment I can give a workplace tool. Pros Everything I need as an employee is in one place. My paystubs, tax documents, PTO balance, benefits, and personal info all live in the same app and I never have to dig through emails or ask HR where something is. The mobile app is genuinely good, which I did not expect. I can request time off, check my pay before it hits my account, and update my direct deposit from my phone in about thirty seconds. Onboarding when I started was the smoothest I have experienced. I filled out my paperwork, set up direct deposit, picked my benefits, and had my logins ready all before my first day. No printing, no scanning, no chasing anyone down. Cons Honestly, the biggest learning curve was just discovering everything it could do. There are so many modules and settings that it took me a few weeks to fully understand which features we actually needed and how to configure them for our practice. Some of the more advanced reporting requires building custom reports rather than pulling from a template, which is great once you learn it but a little intimidating at first. I would also love to see a few more healthcare-specific integrations, though what is available has worked for us.
