You can manually enter orders or integrate with Shopify and other leading e-commerce platforms so orders flow in automatically. Pirate Ship has the most responsive and most helpful support staff of ANY company I have ever worked with. Pros Can print labels on Pirate Ship within minutes of signing up. Amazing customer service. Great discounted shipping rates, both for the US and abroad - especially the Simple Export Rate for shipments under 4 lbs worldwide. Cons During bulk fulfillment, if you make a mistake uploading a bulk order file it can take 1-2 minutes to cancel the import. It's understandable, but slows things down when you're in crunchtime prepping orders. It is an excellent 3rd party service that every small business owner should be aware of. Pros It is simple, so very simple and the font of the data and literature on the website is large, cut and clear. Pirate Ship has one job: to aid in the shipping of USPS packages and to help users save on postage. There are no advertisements or micro transaction to be found. I pay less for shipping now and without hidden fees. I highly recommend Pirate Ship it to anyone in e-commerce. Pros Pirate Ship has been my go-to for quite a while. With shipping prices going up, it’s become even more important for folks who sell items online like I do. You wanna keep your shipping costs low and you want a service that’s easy to use. Pirate Ship is a winner on both counts. The website is clear and easy to use, there are no hidden fees and you can quickly generate labels. I also kind of like the early-internet feel of the site. For example, when you log in, the site asks you “are you a robot or are you a pirate?” It’s campy and corny in the best of ways. Cons I would love it if there was better integration with platforms like Facebook and eBay. Right now, I have to copy and paste addresses from these platforms to Pirate Ship. A little more integration could be a huge time saver, especially when I do bulk shipments. It was also too easy to duplicate labels and get charged twice. I gave up on Stamps.com when I realized there was a subscription fee I was not aware of. " January 2, 2023 5.0 The problems that Pirate Ship solved for me is discounted shipping services, accurate tracking of packages and ease of use. It also allows me to create an address book for any labels that I would possibly re-use in the future. I can create my label, mail or text tracking to the recipient and drop my package or schedule a pick-up. Pros I have used this software to mail simple packages to customers. It works great to provide a discount over retail USPS services and to compare USPS to Fed Ex or UPS and to track and inform my customer of a package headed their way. Cons I have only used the desktop software. I do not have it downloaded to my phone as an app, so I cannot comment on the software as it relates to a phone app. However, the desktop software works flawlessly to mail and track packages. Reason for choosing Pirate Ship I have been using Pirate Ship for several years now. I know that we considered and maybe even used Shippo for a period of time. July 31, 2021 5.0 Overall, Pirate Ship is the only shipping service I would use, despite the fact that they don't integrate with Mercari. In the past year and a half that I have been using Pirate Ship's shipping services, I have had no problems and have saved tons of money from their discounted prices. The convenience and ease of use has played a vital role in the ultimate success of my store. The pros outweigh the one con, and because its a free service, you can't beat it. I have been using Pirate Ship's discounted shipping labels for all my shipping needs, and don't plan on changing that anytime soon. Pros Pirate Ship is not only the most useful software I use for my business, it is also free to use which is a fantastic opportunity to experience professional shipping at no cost except for the cost of postage Cons I wish they would add more online marketplaces to their integration list. Good luck, be ready to jump through hoops..." November 8, 2022 2.0 Until now, it was good. I figured they would have my back when this one and the first time I needed their help in an insurance claim for coverage I paid. Has left a poor impression. Pros Fast website, and decent rates. Responsive tech support means they respond timely not necessarily with helpful information with the constant feedback that they are a small team and can only do so much. Cons Mediocre tracking information - makes you log in to the website to track packages instead of sending a tracking label link with a receipt. They already have that feature (in other emails sent - for example, in refund emails), but in communicating with their tech support, they said they prefer folks to log in to the website to see the tracking number and won't send it in the receipt emails upon purchase of labels!Filing an insurance claim - they expect you to have pictures of the INSIDE of each box shipped along with the packaging used. Seriously. The picture of the external damaged box and the damaged items or your stellar track record (in over two years of use, never filed a single claim) is insufficient.Person 1, answering your claim request email, doesn't read that the package was insured for $500 and stated that it is insured for $100. When pressed to look carefully, apologizes. Then, person 2 takes over the claim process and asks for all the information person 1 had asked for and was provided with. When asked if they had read the prior correspondence, person 2 responded that they were just confirming the information. They have saved me so much money this year with my small business. I considered switching to another software because it's not compatible with my Wix website, but they wanted to charge me an extra $1-$2 per label, plus a monthly fee to use their website. Pirateship is by far my favorite software as a small business owner. Pros The best part of this software is how easy it is to use and interact with. I love that all you have to do is enter your parcel measurements and it will give you a plethora of options for how you can ship the package. Before it was just blind shooting with guessing which shipping carrier was the cheapest. It's nice to have them all listed out. Cons It's not compatible with my Wix website currently. But the extra steps to ship are worth it for how much it helps cut down on shipping costs. Pirate Ship is easy to use and is very transparent. I also love the fact that I can import orders from my Shopify store into Pirate Ship in order to print labels as well as create labels for packages outside of my Shopify store. Pros What I like most about this software is that it integrates with my Shopify store, shipping rates are affordable and printing labels are made easy. Cons What I like least about this software is if any errors are made with shipping labels, instead of being reimbursed immediately or being able to correct and reprint labels, you have to wait at least 30 days in order to prove that the shipping label was not utilized. Pros I can integrate my Etsy shop so I can actually process the shipping labels for each order form Pirate Ship, which is no questions one of the most convenient features they have. Also, you can compare prices in just one place at the same time and their rates are hands down the best. Also, I love I can add my customer's email and they send notifications of shipping and delivery automatically. I can't recommend them enough Cons I would love to integrate my online shop (website) as well but it's not supported. Pros The website is clear and easily navigable, and it takes only a couple of minutes to set up a shipment. Pirate Ship will find you the best rate, eliminating running all over town with your package (been there, done that). You can also choose to have the carrier pick up at your business, and know ahead of time exactly how much the shipment will cost. Cons One time I used it, most of the intransit tracking was provided by the carrier, and seemed to lag actual progress sometimes.
