It has made my life so much easier and convenient. and also the lives of my clients too, making those trips to the post office faster. Pros I love that I am able to print and ship any package and envelopes from the comfort of my home or office. I do not have to go to the post office to drop off packages or pay for any labeling and shipping. I love that I can offer that mail service to my clients as add-on service to my clients. Cons I only dislike the fact that I cant sort by date on the labels created and sometimes missed them when looking for a particular label. After some quick research, I decided I would test run Pirate Ship with some Christmas deliveries I need to make (I was dreading the line at my local USPS). Incredible experience - happy I found this service and I will be absolutely adopting it for all of my shipping needs in the future, including for my company when I need to send out deliverables to clients. 10/10 definitely recommend! Pros First off, this software is essentially free. The website is clean and simple and very easy to navigate. I had my first 3 labels created within 10 minutes of signing up. So far my favorite things are PDF download for label printing, multiple label options for paper and/or stickers, the ability to save package dimensions, the ability to carry a balance for easy budgeting (and saving steps with multiple shipments). Cons I would like the ability to save an address, not just a package. However, you can easily copy addresses from past shipments. I would also like the ability to add multiple shipments to one purchase without choosing spreadsheet import or integration. I switched to Pirateship from Stamps.com and never missed anything they offered, so if your primary shipping carrier is USPS the discount rate and the ease of use make Pirateship a perfect app for you. Pros I love how well it works, how easy it is to make a label, and how quickly you can get going. You can go from nothing to shipping fast, and it supports standard label formats (like 4x6) so you don't have to play games. Cons It only supports USPS. In the COVID era, USPS is not the most reliable and not having other options is handicapping to me. Also Pirateship does not support first class letter postage. Switched from [Stamps.com](https://www.capterra.com/p/90069/Stamps-com/) Stamps.com is great, but they offer you pretty much nothing AND charge you $17 a month for what Pirateship offers for free (aside from first class letter postage). It is super easy to navigate and notifies you when your packages have been delivered to your customers. I would never use a different software. Pros I love the fact that I can print my shipping labels from home. It makes my job so much easier and convenient not having to make several trips to the post office. And the shipping rates are half of what you would normally pay at UPS or other shipping companies. Cons The only downfall of this software is the refund process. If you mistype or make an error in a name or address, it will not allow you to correct it. You have to purchase a new label and send a request to have your money refunded for the other label. The refund process takes days and it's only then credited back to your pirate ship account instead of your credit card. December 22, 2020 5.0 Great experience all around so far! Their customer service is super helpful and very responsive as well! Pros Super easy program to use! I'm so happy that I now can track my international packages all the way to the door as opposed to when I purchased international shipping labels through Etsy and only had tracking information to their "global shipping partner" location ... after it was received at that location, myself and my customers had no way to track their shipments. This is why I switched to Pirate Ship as it was highly recommended in a lot of the Etsy forums and I have not been disappointed! Works just as well for domestic shipments too. Cons The only thing I wish I could do was see a report detailing both my base postage costs as well as the additional insurance that I occasionally purchase. June 20, 2018 5.0 Pros Pirate ship makes keeping track of my shipments easy! The integrate with multiple shop platforms so I can seamlessly import my labels as batches. I can save my most commonly used settings and can pull up addresses we've shipped to before with just a name or email address. They have the best pricing I've found and for a subscription box company that ships hundreds of boxes a month that savings add up quickly. Their customer service is EXCELLENT and they are continuously adding new features and functionality. Cons I can't think of a single downside to using Pirate Ship! " January 24, 2022 5.0 Easy to set up the account, super easy to use to print shipping labels, Pros I love how easy this program is to use! This is perfect for repeat customers as well, because it saves the address and name from previous shipping labels! I don't have to stop and find a customers address every time! The prices for shipping small items is lower than the Post Office and I do not have to wait in line! I simply just box up the product, print and apply the label and then drop off at the Post office counter (skipping the line!) Another plus is that I do not have to keep up with post office receipts. They even implemented a feature I suggested to them! If you ask me, they are by far the best way to purchase USPS shipping labels. Much better than USPS's own website, PayPal, or Stamps. I don't even know how they make any money since they certainly aren't billing us. We only pay the cost of the postage we use, which is the same or better than everywhere else. Even if their prices were the same as buying direct for USPS, I'd still use them because their site is so easy to use and their customer service is so superb. I think I've recommended them to several people already too. Cons It doesn't provide the most professional or business oriented appearance but it's also really refreshing that they are okay being different. If they really wanted to cover all markets, they could consider creating an additional brand for themselves that keeps the same system and amazing customer service, while perhaps changing the pirate theme to something a bit more business oriented. They could even add a multi-user system for companies. Even without making changes, I didn't think twice about suggesting them as a solution to replace the post office trips or Pitney Bowes for some of our other locations. They are seriously my favorite company of all time right now. You can create shipping labels individually or in a batch and print them all out. It makes shipping and fulfillment super easy. It also links with popular platforms like CrateJoy! And the best part is that it's free to use! Cons The pirate puns. Haha just kidding! I actually love what they've done. It's a really smart move to brand it the way they did. They're immediately responsive, and have always resolved my issue or answered my question quickly and effectively. When I first heard about it from various YouTube Resellers, I was under the impression it would be a useful tool on the rare occasion I could qualify for cubic shipping. But your incredibly user friendly interface makes it now my go-to shipping platform both when I need to ship out an eBay order, or when I just need to try to figure out how to price shipping. Your tools and charts with pricing has helped me get my new eBay business organized and I have used it to create my own quick reference spreadsheet that makes deciding how to price things as easy as possible. To add a cherry on top, I needed to ship a return for my wife and was frustrated because I couldn’t do 1st Class print-from-home through USPS.com. I decided to see if I could handle it through Pirate Ship and bam…label printed and it saved me both time and money! You seriously have a great business man and you’ve earned my business. Pros This website gives very hefty discounts on USPS shipping prices. I use it all the time because whenever I need to ship something after it sells - Pirate Ship always gives me the cheapest shipping price out of all the other websites out there, including the USPS website itself. Cons I ship a lot of meida-mail related things at times, and they don't offer the media mail shipping label. It's the same price as what other websites would price it as because USPS is firm on their prices for media mail, however, I like to keep track of my labels all in one place. We ship small packages with a "free shipping" model, so shipping expense often exceeds the wholesale cost of the product itself. The discounted rates (significantly lower than we would have access to simply by purchasing directly from USPS) allow us to keep our prices low enough to entice customers while still leaving us with a piece of the pie. In addition, the software has given us seamless methods for providing tracking information to our customers, easy reprints, and great record-keeping tools. Pros As a small eCommerce startup, we knew early on that keeping our shipping fees down would make or break us. An unusually high volume of orders during the Christmas 2020 rush left us scrambling for a lower-cost solution. The software integrated with our selling platform (currently, Etsy) with a single click. Mind-blowing. We save cash on nearly every package we ship. The website interface is so clear and easy-to-use, it feels almost idiot-proof. It's clear these people have done the family business shipping thing themselves. Highly recommend this service! Cons No complaints so far. It's basically a point-ant-shoot solution for us.
