I like the humor mixed in and felt like I could easily find any answer I needed. After a few days, I hadn't yet used the service and got another email asking me if I was having trouble getting started. Talk about feeling supported! It wasn't long after that I did need to ship a small box and found that the process of entering the package details (dimensions, weight, and final destination) was quick and easy. I'm amazed the rates are lower, how is that even possible? I paid and printed my label right away. I didn't realize it would even track my parcel for me and let me know when it had been delivered. 5 HUGE stars from me. Pros I was spending a lot of time searching USPS, UPS and FedEx to see which would be cheapest when mailing policies or small parcels. Now in one place I can easily enter the package details and see pricing for all of them and I'm able to buy a label immediately so I can scratch this off my to-do list. Cons I haven't experienced any problems. I found the website has many features, and I've just navigated around the ones that don't apply to me - like batch shipments. They interface changed not long after I started using it so I had to get used to a new display, but it's very intuitive. Review Source CM Cherri M. I do feel stupid sometimes when I ask a question when the answer is really obvious - but they put up with me! The one thing I highly recommend is that you really study the information on the cubic rates, if you don't you will be leaving money on the table. Pros It's free! It's easy! It's integrated with eBay and others and if it isn't, it's easy to paste in the info. Best of all, the priority rates are better, saving money is important when paying so much in fees to the seller platforms. AND their customer service rocks! You 'chat' with a real person and usually get an immediate response during the day or the next morning - that is gold. I've shared this program with everyone I know and they have done the same. Pros Pirate Ship has made it super easy to do what I need to do in order to get packages out the door and to my customers in a timely manner. No more waiting in line. No difficult setup. No exorbitant fees to use the service. A great tool for small business people. Cons It doesn't have as many options as some other software, but it's ease of use makes up for it. But also it's extremely easy to manage shipments on orders that come from different platforms all in one place. Pros It's extremely easy to use and can sync up to import orders from all of the ecommerce platforms that I use. The priority rates are at a better discount than what eBay has baked into their platform which saves me money! It's also very easy to create a scan form making your mail carrier's life a breeze. They negotiate lo prices on all ship rates and have an easy to use portal that makes shipping a breeze. Again I cannot stress enough the savings the pricing structure creates. Cons One thing would be if you enter any package dims wrong and it ships, it can be surprising on your bill when it comes through that it was adjusted and Pirateship ends up charging you extra. Just make sure your package dims are correct and you should not have a problem. Pros It offers the ability to certain postal rates other platforms do not offer. For example, USPS offers soft-pack commercial rates which are based on size that other platforms don't. The other platforms only offer flat-rate and regional-rate box options. This feature has saved me a couple of bucks on more orders than I can count. Plus, it's pretty easy and intuitive to use, even if it's other features feel a bit limited at times. Cons Despite the benefits of certain rates offers, it feels more limited than other comparable options in terms of syncing multiple accounts and shipping bulk orders with ease. It's great to use alongside another shipping service simply for the cheaper rates on certain services that it offers, but you may not want it to be your sole shipping service unless you're a very small business. Pros I was recommended Pirate shop by another artist who uses it to package Etsy purchases at home and mail them out. I had tried PayPal Multiship before but decided to give this a try. It is so great! The directions are super simple and then when you do have questions the chat is right there and is charmingly entertaining with pirate puns and gifs. Super cheap shipping, much better than I get at the post office because even 50 cents adds up over time. You do need your own scale to use this service, but there are a bunch on Amazon for less than $20 and you'll make that back in what you save on shipping through Pirate Ship and what you save in time from not having to wait in line at the post office. And then there is a little sheet that you can print off for the post office to scan if you have too many packages for them to scan all at once, which I haven't run into but heard about from other small online business sellers. Cons I like everything about it, but I could see someone not millennial or younger (my mom) being frustrated and/or annoyed at the gifs and jokes when she has a real question and is frustrated. I ship annual business planners and not only do they interface with Squarespace - my sales platform - they also offer discounted USPS prices AND make printing labels with my DYMO labelwriter easy peasy! I save so much time now when when it comes to shipping the planner. I also love that I can easily track my packages in Pirate Ship, the software is very easy to use AND they have great and quick customer service. Thank you so much! Pros 1\. Saves us time and money in shipping. We sell on eBay and Mercari and will use PirateShip as our postage supplier for any item that we include free shipping. Pros The ease of use and cost savings of PirateShip definitely made us come back for more. We have compared USPS rates vs Pirate Ship and PS saved us several dollars each time we used it. Very easy to use website. Saves Money....how can that be any better? Cons Haven't found any cons about the software. The export rate is an amazing feature and allows me to continue shipping to Canada. They send emails with important updates regarding shipping costs/policies, etc. so communication is also top notch. The Pirate Speak motif is cute and entertaining : ) Pros Easy integration with Etsy labels- I use them for international labels as they offer a discounted rate. I once had a package go missing and their customer service was very friendly and submitted a claim for me, and I got a quick refund through Shipsurance. It was nice to not have to really deal with Shipsurance directly, Pirate Ship just asked me questions and took it from there.
