It is PCI, SOX and HIPAA compliance ensures data is secure. Pros With the current Covid-19 situation, I have been able to make maximum use of the features available in order to monitor our network and ensure business continuity. The reports generated by Firewall features within OPManager Plus are really useful. ManageEngine Support have been very swift in customising reports specific to our needs. Cons With all software, you must spend time initially tweaking to ensure the software works correctly. I found it difficult at times to understand the requirements to get the software to work. The support team are great and very helpful but some dedicated training videos would be good. Pros NCM is part of our Opmanager deployment so I didn't know much about it when we deployed it The more I use it the more i found out about it. It has some very useful features and is a very good bolt on for Opmanager Cons It is not well laid out. Not sure if this is because it is a bolt on rather than a standalone product but I feel that things are scattered about, instead of everything being under a single menu option.. There are two or three different ways to get to NCM specific components and this make sit difficult to find setting if you are unfamiliar with it. Pros Our IT infrastructure benefits greatly from backup and restores features. In case of disaster or power outage, we are so concerned about saving our devices' configurations. Cons The backup process for Huawei devices was a bit challenging for me, but apart from that I was satisfied with the product. Pros I like that you can back up and restore switch config, track compliance against CIS benchmarks and have an audit trail of who made configuration changes to devices. The vulnerability and EoL reporting is also useful. Cons I found the initial setup of adding devices and the required credentials to be a little unclear. Their pricing is very competitive, the product was easy to install and configure, and in no time we were backing up the configurations of all of our network devices which is exactly what we wanted. We have also configured automatic change notification email alerts when any change is made on any of our network configurations. Pros The most important features for us are the automatic configuration backups of all of our network devices. NCM is very easy to use and very easy to implement. Cons I would like the ability for real time monitoring for our network devices with notification when they are no longer reachable. NCM alerts us via email when a device fails the hourly automatic config backup, which is nice, but quite what we would like from a monitoring perspective. However NCM is not a monitoring product and ManageEngine sells OpManager for that sort of thing. We needed a custom script wrote for some of our newer HP AOS-CX switches and support had that completed for us in less than 3 days. The customization and audit ability of this product is excellent and highly recommended. Pros The ease of setup, overall capabilities, and potential for in-depth customization in this product is unmatched in my experience. We have tried other manufacturers but they all lacked the ability to interact with such a wide array of products. Cons What I like least about this product is the amount of clicking required to change switch version baselines. This could be made more simple by providing shortcut selections on the devices screen. With bulk and automation options, it's very hand to use and I suggest all technicians to give it a try if they don't Pros I like bulk and remote modifications of end devices easily in ManageEngine NCM product. We can send configs to many devices in a single process. Additionally, the compliance abilitiy allows techs to standardizing the configurations as periodically checking devices automatically which is a great value for especially big companies. And finally, taking backups and even restoring them when needed save the day in disaster scenarios. Cons There are device templates (which allows techs to add devices easily to manage) on the product, but it should be richer. Even if the product allows techs to customize the templates, it should be much more automatic.
