Pros The features we utilise the most are backup manager. Migrating all devices to NCM was quick and simple. Being able to group devices with customized tags enabled better organisation and group. Being alerted with backup failures provides piece of mind for ensuring accurate and UpToDate backups have been retrieved. The EOL and firmware vulnerability reports enables us to focus on the most vulnerable devices first. Cons NCM can not act as a TACACS server for authentication for network devices. This requires us to keep our old backup program which does act as a TACACS SERVER for authentication to the switches. Configuring file transfer between NCM and switches has been complicated. Cons It could be pointed out that what I did not like about the tool is the need for another tool to create more advanced reports than those available in the tool in an agile and simple way.
