### "Good Observability solution requiring more video tutorials."

April 20, 2026

5.0

Applications Manager gives useful insights into our entire application infrastructure. The dashboard gives complete details of the infrastructure which is easy to understand the IT systems.

Pros

My personal preference is with creating monitors. Unlike other observability solutions that require endless configurations, ManageEngine is very easy to setup and get insights into your infrastructure. Customer support has been very helpful in resolving queries and troubleshooting.

Cons

Need more training and video tutorials for new features. Need better customization for alert summary feature.

### "Reliable and Cost-Effective Application Monitoring Solution"

May 22, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with ManageEngine Applications Manager has been positive. It is a reliable and user-friendly monitoring solution that provides centralized visibility into applications, servers, databases, and infrastructure components. The tool helps in proactive monitoring, faster incident detection, and performance troubleshooting through real-time alerts and detailed dashboards. One of the key strengths is its wide range of supported technologies and ease of integration with enterprise environments. It has been very useful for monitoring critical business applications, reducing downtime, and improving overall operational efficiency. Although the initial setup and advanced customization can sometimes be complex, the platform offers strong monitoring capabilities at a cost-effective price compared to many other enterprise APM solutions. Overall, it is a valuable tool for IT operations and application monitoring teams.

Pros

Easy-to-use and user-friendly monitoring interface Supports monitoring for servers, applications, databases, URLs, cloud, and infrastructure from a single console Real-time performance monitoring with detailed dashboards and alerts Quick deployment and easy integration with multiple technologies Strong application performance monitoring (APM) capabilities with root cause analysis Customizable thresholds, reports, and notification settings Helpful for proactive issue detection and reducing downtime Good visibility into application health and resource utilization Cost-effective compared to many enterprise monitoring tools Reliable customer support and regular feature updates

Cons

Initial setup and configuration can be complex for large environments UI can feel outdated compared to modern monitoring platforms Some advanced features require additional customization or scripting Alert noise can become difficult to manage without proper threshold tuning Reporting and dashboard customization options are somewhat limited Performance may slow down when monitoring a very high number of devices/applications Documentation for certain integrations and troubleshooting scenarios could be improved Mobile app functionality is limited compared to the web console Upgrade and patching activities sometimes require careful compatibility checks Licensing costs can increase significantly as monitoring scale grows

### "Delivered end-to-end visibility devoid of repetitive check-ups"

April 11, 2025

3.0

Pros

I found Applications Manager convenient to be able to oversee both the middleware and the backend services such as Redis, Kafka and Oracle DB in one place. The metrics are broken up and describe areas that I can easily figure out latencies from and general resource utilization.

Cons

When analyzing historical performance reports for an incident, after a certain period of time, the metrics of more than 90 days take time to load. I could also get a little frustrated when using it to look for patterns across a quarter-long deployment cycle.

### "Reliable Application and Infrastructure Monitoring Platform"

February 27, 2026

5.0

Overall, the experience has been positive. The tool provides reliable monitoring, useful alerts, and good visibility into infrastructure and application health, which helps maintain uptime and improve operational efficiency.

Pros

I liked the wide range of monitoring features across servers, databases, and applications in one platform. The dashboards and alerting system are easy to configure and help with proactive monitoring.

Cons

The interface can feel slightly cluttered when managing a large number of monitors. Performance optimization and proper sizing are important in bigger environments, as resource usage can increase with aggressive polling.

### "Leveraging Applications Manager for full stack application performance observability "

October 25, 2024

4.0

Applications Manager's full stack observability in a single plane simplifies monitoring by quickening incident response with their root cause analysis feature. With our distributed architecture for our business applications, Applications Manager was able to provide a single pane to view the different metrics and attribute status of the entire environment. Starting monitoring from the infrastructure servers where the applications are installed, you can review resource utilization, to the respective application technologies like databases where you can get notified immediately if a specific scheduled job fails to run, and the web apps and app servers, finally to the actual end user experience where you can confirm the service delivery to the end user through synthetic and transactional monitoring. Applications Manager provides all this visibility which brings application performance monitoring to the next level

Pros

Support for the full stack monitoring and also readily available templates for different technologies which simplifies onboarding and monitoring. Transactional monitoring with APM Insight which fully monitors any activity going through your application and shares important insights and metrics which are a clear indicator of the application performance.

Cons

Failure to support monitoring for ATM related attributes like cash trays details. We can easily monitor ATM availability but cannot pick up on details like tray jams, or empty trays.

Reason for choosing ManageEngine Applications Manager

### "Consistently supported our operational goals"

April 20, 2025

4.0

Pros

I liked most about Applications Manager was the extent to which it monitored the database performance. Not only did it display query level statistics but gave me context about query’s resource usage cross database nodes when the performance drop happened.

Cons

There is a lack of flexibility regarding the configuration templates for alerts. The thresholds which I had to set for every new instance were also affecting time, during periods of extensive server infrastructure growth, or server database switches.

### "Ensured consistently reliable monitoring for hybrid IT landscapes"

April 8, 2025

4.0

Pros

I liked that I could manage our VMware VMs along with on-prem Oracle databases we support without switching between different applications. It consolidates all the layers of application and helps me easily pinpoint latency hiccups in the system.

Cons

They fail to detect all the services that are running on non-standard ports in the first scan. For some of the in-house tools developed over the years, although settings had to be adjusted manually to achieve visibility comprehensiveness.

### "Successful monitoring of assumptions for mission critical applications"

April 23, 2025

4.0

Pros

It was useful that at the same time I can monitor server and application performances using one tool. ManageEngine Applications Manager is above all a single pane of glass that consolidates the information across multiple tools, which ultimately can help save a lot of time.

Cons

The problem I have encountered is that the product is not suitable for large amount of traffic. Rarely, when observing several applications at once, it might slow down and, therefore, fail to produce real-time alerts.

Pros

I came across one that I found quite interesting and that is its support of container environments. With Applications Manager, I was able to monitor Docker containers hosting Python applications and the memory and the response time in between the instances.

Cons

The problem that I encountered was in monitoring of older network equipment based on SNMP. The MIBs had to either be configured manually or the right traps were not provided responses in return.

Its real-time monitoring, along with customizable alerts, helps us stay ahead of potential issues, improving system reliability and minimizing downtime. The interface is user-friendly, and the integration with various third-party tools enhances its functionality. However, the product could benefit from more in-depth documentation and a smoother setup process for advanced features

Pros

It provides deep insights into the performance of applications, servers, and infrastructure with real-time monitoring and detailed analytics. The customizable dashboards and alerting systems are particularly useful for staying on top of critical performance issues before they impact users.

Cons

While the core monitoring functions are straightforward, customizing certain aspects, such as creating advanced reports or fine-tuning integrations, can be challenging and require a deep understanding of the product.
