Our experience with NetFlow has been positive in terms of network traffic visibility. It provides valuable insights into interface bandwidth utilization, identifies which users, devices, or applications are consuming the most bandwidth, and shows the source and destination of network traffic. These capabilities help with network monitoring, troubleshooting, capacity planning, and performance analysis. However, the reporting module requires significant improvement. Currently, the product offers only predefined report templates with limited flexibility. There is no option to customize reports based on specific business or operational requirements. In many situations, we need reports containing only selected information, but the product does not allow us to create custom report templates, select specific fields, or apply advanced report customization. Enhancing the reporting functionality with customizable templates and flexible filtering options would greatly improve the overall user experience and operational efficiency.

Pros

In NetFlow I like the we get details the report of interface utilization bandwidth, who will take how much bandwidth & what the destination of these source.

Cons

The reporting functionality requires significant improvement. Currently, the product provides only predefined report templates and does not offer report customization. In many cases, we need reports that contain only specific information relevant to our requirements, but there is no option to customize or create reports based on our needs.

Our overall experience has been positive. The product provides valuable insights into network utilization, application traffic, and bandwidth consumption across multiple sites. It has helped improve troubleshooting time and capacity planning while providing detailed visibility into network behavior. The implementation process is straightforward for standard deployments, and the reporting capabilities are comprehensive. Although we have encountered occasional challenges during upgrades and distributed collector management, the platform remains reliable for day-to-day monitoring and offers solid value for the investment.

Pros

Excellent real-time and historical bandwidth monitoring. Supports multiple flow technologies, including NetFlow, sFlow, IPFIX, J-Flow, and NetStream. Easy-to-understand dashboards and customizable reports. Strong integration with the ManageEngine ecosystem. Good alerting capabilities for network performance and traffic anomalies. Cost-effective solution compared to many competing products.

Cons

Distributed collector environments can require additional maintenance and troubleshooting. Some upgrades and large-scale deployments require careful planning. Advanced reporting customization has a learning curve. Email reporting and certain integrations may require vendor support when issues arise. The user interface could be modernized and optimized for faster navigation.

Overall experience is very positive. The dashboards and reports are easy to understand, and real-time monitoring makes the network more reliable. Setup can feel a bit technical, but once it’s running, it works smoothly and saves a lot of time.

Pros

The most that I like is it gives me a clear view of network traffic and bandwidth usage. The dashboards are easy to understand, and I can quickly see which applications or users are using more bandwidth. It helps me solve problems faster and keeps the network running smoothly.

Cons

Literally there is nothing that I least like but sometimes handling very large amounts of traffic data can slow things down. But once it is running, it works well and gives useful insights.
