The teams always responds swiftly, and will jump on a call to ensure exmplanations are understood. Pros I received first class advice from Seedlegals for preparing documents for my HMRC Approval. The first draft was analysed within a few days and detailed feedback was provided. The second draft needed only very minor tweaks and then was submitted. Approval was gained from HMRC in 3 weeks. Cons The SEIS application portal on SeedLegals could use a bit more information on what is required in each section so as to avoid long chain of emails with the representatives to confirm minor details. That will save time for both parties. Very helpful to us. SeedLegals submitted the application and within 4 days we'd received confirmation of approval from HMRC Cons Nothing to do with the SEIS application, but I think the platform itself is in need of an update. Certain features are clunky to use and the UX experience isn't great. The SEIS advance assurance application was the main reason I signed up to SeedLegals. The recommended revisions and advice given to maximise the success of the application proved to be invaluable. Many thanks to \[sensitive content hidden\] Though this was the main reason I chose SeedLegals - it seemed like an incredible deal - I'm only just scratching the surface of the value of this platform. The advice and expertise is spot on. Pros The ease of contracting and legal documentation with bodies such as HMRC. Cons Nothing off the top of my head. I guess some things aren't clear such as the fee - I thought I was paying an all-inclusive fee to cover the distribution of equity only to find that's an additional cost. So I think a bit of clarity between Sales and Account Management over that. But maybe that's the sales tactic to get us over the line. To be fair, even within the basic package I bought, i can still use placeholders such as contracts which outline equity rather than actually issuing it in that moment. Pros SeedLegals offered hands-on guidance and a user-friendly platform - they removed the complexity and unknowns, just made it into a process, using their experience. Literally "do these things and then we'll put your application in". By following the process we were able to put in an application which was successful. Cons One small point was that there was one element of the application (detailing your lead investors) and you couldn't move on with a lot of the detail unless you had filled that in, which was tricky as I didn't have lead investors at first. I had to "game" it - i.e. enter dummy data - to be able to access the rest of the application, and then go back and correct the data.It is fine to say "you must complete this to submit your application", but a temporary inability to do so shouldn't stop you from filling in the other bits.
