I just input my requirements and the rest is either automated or perfectly guided. Cons It's a bit tricky to be set up. Once you get the gist of it, though, it's very powerful. Pros I really like how Skedpal streamlines my workflow, allowing me to dump my tasks into a list, and the software will respond with a schedule. It has helped me stay more productive, successful, and timely! Cons I find the UI a bit clunky and slow, I dislike that blocks must be 30 minutes. I also dislike that nesting repeated tasks are not allowed. I'm looking forward to SP3 where these are improved. Pros This is just the scheduling software I have been it is flexible and helps so much with planning workload! Cons The features (which I love) are a little difficult to use on mobile due to their complexity, but the app is good for checking things off easily. Pros The fact that SkedPal uses smart scheduling to schedule my tasks for me increases my chances of actually completing my tasks and gives me a better overview of my day/week/month. I'ts not intuitive, but it's also not difficult to understand once you take the time. Pros It forces me to think about due dates, the time tasks will take, and prepares my schedule for me. Pros Automated Scheduling of your time quickly identifies the moment you over-commit or you have a scheduling conflict. I have found this to be a pretty good "set and forget" task management system which allows you to get on with being productive without scanning lists or prioritizing or lengthy daily planning sessions. and without the worry that you're about to miss some deadline or other. The next task just pops up to the top of your list, task management just happens. Cons I'd really like a unlimited tree-like task outliner rather than the Area-Project-Task-Subtask hierarchy that Skedpal now provides. Been looking for some tool like this for about 20 years. Tried hundreds of Todo list, calendar and other productivity apps. Cons Not suitable for beginners. Integration with Google calendar is seemless, so you don't have to add your "hard" appointments more than once. Highly recommend. Pros I really love that it will schedule things for me--this helps to keep me from getting distracted and work on what's important. I really like the integration with my existing Google calendar. Cons Really the biggest problem is me. I get distracted trying to sort email in the morning, and by the time I look at SkedPal sometimes it's noon and I feel like it was not helpful for me--but that's my fault. Pros I was simply looking for software that would allow me to use time blocking for my (completely insane) schedule - hard to believe that there isn't much of that out there! Found SkedPal and it's able to handle my crazy schedule/life with ease, and the automated scheduling is an added bonus. Cons Honestly the only problem I've had is that it tends to crash/freeze a bit when I run the "update schedule" process, but I'm pretty sure this is a result of everything I'm asking it to do. Cons I use Google Assistant to add my tasks to my to do list and I wish there was a more direct way of entering my tasks from Google Assistant directly into skedpal. Pros Time blocking is such an incredibly useful time management feature. I love how I can signify in red yellow or green what types of tasks I would like to do at a given time. Cons I wish it had a countdown timer to let me know how much time is left on my given task until the end of the event. Treating tasks and work to do as fluid with which to fill the spaces left by meetings and other tasks, in different containers matching the schedules or time zones. It is the only software I have found that not only autoschedules around your fixed commitments, but also reschedules automatically based on preferred time of day and deadlines for specific tasks. Being able to time map your preferred time for types of tasks is brilliant and easy to implement, and you can also ask it to 'buffer' and list times that can be used if essential on a task approaching deadline. The team is incredibly responsive and helpful and the software is multi-platform. Cons Only one current deficit - which is lack of option for putting in checklists - but that is very much on the developers' road map. Once that is implemented it will be 6 out of 5 on all counts!! However, I’ve already recommended it to others and I would imagine I will continue to do so. Pros The idea of the software is excellent. I love the neural engine that automatically schedules tasks based on priority, time involved, and other factors. Cons For a life full with younger children and travel time it was hard to get the scheduling just right. It also, at this point, can’t integrate any subscribed calendars (which would have been very useful if it did). Review Source FB Fernando B. Also, I like that it works on all the platforms I use: Windows, Android... and Linux! Excellent for people with ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder). Also, it has excellent tech support on their forums: you post something, and some hours later (even minutes later) you have an answer by the software's author. Cons I think than some options should have another defaults, and the user interface can be a little more friendly. Sometimes it's somewhat difficult to find some options.
