SimplCommerce, VirtoCommerce, Moltin, SnipCart and the big Saas project as shopify. I always try to know if my choice is good, but with this project, I was really confortable to start without paid anything and I know I will not paid something else after one years Pros \- The price, I have only paid for themes and plugins to save time, - Definitively the real strength of GrandNode is the number of functionalities included, even when you think had look all of them, you find another one ready for your business, - The way to customize theme, I have paid Premium Theme Pack, this is a good base to improve, because you can change a lot of things with a "simple" theme, in fact you can play with all datas to display and as want (define new template for product detail, grouped product etc...) - The customer service and support, you can ask and contact them, I always have a good feedback or they try to find a solution when you have an issue - As a developper, the architecture is pretty nice to interact with all needed parts like payment, shipping and you can change/add part of the system to improve/adapt it Cons \- Sometimes you could read outdated documentation (for example on ngninx) and you have to search or ask on the forum - As a developper, I would love to have a separation between front/back - It's look like, pretty nothing are missing to create a Saas version, it's could be great thing - From France there are no marketing on this project, I mean, when you try to connect shipping or payment, all commercial team ask on which platform are you? Shopify, Magento? No GrandNode Reason for choosing GrandNode For the price, functionalities, Maintainability, The way to do everything by myself (I'm only one to do all things) Review Source VR Verified Reviewer Administrator Sports Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Fantastic choice, much better than previous WooCommerce" January 8, 2020 5.0 It's perfect solution for small/medium businesses like store that I have, but I'm not able to implement all features that GrandNode offers, so it's a perfect tool for the biggest e-commerce marketplaces. The wide range of functionalities allows you to create store which uses only out of the box implemented features. It means that you don't have to purchase tons of external plugins like it's in different e-commerce software. We've been using WooCommerce before and it was slow, low performance and hard to manage. Migration to GrandNode solved that problems. We made the store faster, so we don't lose customers anymore. Pros Lot of features, I'm not able to use many of them, but the number of possibilities is amazing Performance of the store. It's faster than my previous e-commerce platform and I'm impressed with that fact. Lot of plugins and themes. If the core of the GrandNode is not enough, it's totally easy to get new plugin or themes. Themes are elegant, responsive and modern. Cons I don't see any weaknesses which will bother me. Maybe that's caused by fact that I use only the most basic features. Owner Health, Wellness and Fitness Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Product has potential but too many "Surprises" that will cost money" January 21, 2021 3.0 Support is very helpful and responsive at the start - that is when you've just paid your $ ( in my case initially $2000 ). I initially realised that it wasn't going to meet my needs - and I came back to them a year later but they didn't offer any significant discount on trying to "start again" even though I had spent $2000 on nothing. It looked like they had fixed things. I purchased a theme and asked a very basic question about product attributes because they are very different to Magento and their product attribute system is unclear/ambiguous. English is a second language to them to responses and documentation is "not-so-good" English and links go to random versions. When I start asking questions they want more money for "premium development support". this should not be the case! This project will cost me a small fortune if I have to pay for premium development support every time I need to get a basic thing done. Pros The Speed of the software is good - and most of the features I used to use in Magento in paid extensions are out of the box. Cons The main issue I have with this software is that I think that the architects have made some things too complicated and I found it buggy to implement ( interestingly they didn't experience the bugs I did even though I had a fresh install ). I spent over $30,000 trying to get the features I wanted in Magento. Even beginners without technical knowledge are able to run successful online store. Default theme is very minimalistic and elegant, so in our case it was enough to just change the colors. Admin panel is clear and well designed, even if there is a lot of menu items, functionalities, it wasn't a problem for us to use it. We were impressed also by the performance, our previous site, even if it was only a static site, was much slower. Cons To be honest, we didn't notice any important problems or lacks of features. So, a startup can get the business off the ground fast. The most important, it was built to ease marketing. For example, the software has a SEO built-in system, blog, discount, gift card, and email marketing. Cons I cannot think of anything. I think it's good enough though.
