So far so good. I am enjoying it. The transition from my other database has been smooth because of how user friendly is.

Pros

I like how user friendly it is. Being the primary solo user of the database, it was hard for me to retain a lot of the trainings, but I am able to navigate it just fine.

Cons

I do not like that I have to always look at the "inactive" providers on my side bar. I wish that I could make it so it would just display active, and inactive if I needed it to for any reason.

### "You asked for it"

After having been part of 10 system conversions, this has by far been the absolute worst one I have ever had to go thru, and over two years later, it has only gotten worse. Honestly, it would not have been my selection to go with after having demo'd it prior to coming to work for my current employer. I already knew the con's and had many other references telling us to avoid this program at all costs. I would have immediately told my current employer to continue demoing other software programs and not go with this program.

Pros

Unfortunately, as I am looking thru the system, I can't say that there is anything that I like about the system as it has next to nothing that is truly Dental only related and you are unable to customize specifically for dental.

Cons

inability to customize for specific customer. all or none and we will only change it if we get enough likes from everyone is not effective, system slowness, non-stop high priority fixes, constant config remapping following every fix, variables that are archived and yet still continue to cause issues, lack of customer service knowledge when calling in for assistance, shouldn't have to literally train the rep on your software and the list goes on.

Over all, is ok. Again, is easily accessible for the most part, but the program crashing often can kind of be inconvenient when there are deadlines for many providers.

Pros

each section to view is easily accessible for the most part

Cons

when we have to check a provider's npi registry and we click on it, the screen is not the same as the original set up, as it's cut off or something, causing you to scroll a lot. it's like 2 windows in one window when it pops up and it's not very easy to view. checking their taxonomy code is now a hassle. Changing the "Verify Now" feature is ok, but I like where it was originally for easier access, instead of having to right click over a provider's name.

Pros

Simplicity of most sections make the system easy to use for reporting, organization, etc.

Cons

Reporting variables are sometimes hard to differentiate since they are just in code language.

Cons

Not all the credentialing applications are loaded in the library. Also, a lot of them are out-of-date.

Other than the completely inefficient way to add providers to practices it's wonderful. I think the provider portion of it is amazing but being able to add new practices need a lot of work.

Pros

it's very good at keeping things in order and being able to have information filtered to multiple spreadsheets

Cons

There's no bulk adding. When adding a new practice I need to add providers and I can only scroll through the first 200 alphabetically. If I type in one providers name and click on them it will erase if I search for another provider. We have practices (ER's and Urgent Cares) with over 300 providers and when I open a new practice it could take me an entire day to add providers because I have to add them one at a time.

Customer service is very unhelpful. you send a ticket in about an issue, they look at it, think they've solved the issue and close the ticket out before even discussing it. The saving of the verifications when working expired/expiring documents is time consuming. it takes each one at least 30 seconds to finally save and if youre working on 100+ items that need to be verified, it adds up.

Pros

It does help with getting expirables done quicker

Cons

it will continue to try to verify places even though I've dated it in the WorkFlow that its been reviewed/verified

We already have a call scheduled with a senior CS member to discuss our experience later this month.

Pros

\[sensitive content hidden\] is excellent team member.

Cons

\* Monthly application updates. \* Communication about why an error occurred and how it was fixed when submitting a Support Ticket. \* Integration does not work as expected for background checks - still a work in progress - we were told it was like a 'plug and play' integration (turned on in May 2024). A ticket is placed and will be placed into Production 10.16.2024 to hopefully fix the latest issue. \* Lack of guidance and education to audit our Perf Priv module during project development/rollout. That project started in July 2023 and is not yet functioning.

Our experience with has been positive. Customer support is extremely pleasant and helpful.

Pros

checked off all of the boxes for us. Automated references and monthly compliance checks: OIG SAM NPI State Sanctions/Exclusions OPT OUT SSDMF HUB application is easy for providers to use.

Cons

Training was difficult as our trainer really did not understand the credentialing use of the product.

Reason for choosing CredentialStream

verifies, SSDMF, OPT out, NPI, State Sanctions, OIG and SAM. Also automates the reference process. HUB application makes the credentialing process seamless.

### "My honest opinion of the system"

At first, we were very disappointed in the lack of assistance during the build of the system. We were not aware that the agreement we had was self guided. The training video's were outdated and were not helpful. Once we were made aware of the misunderstanding of the training and implementation of the build, our team of reps at CS were wonderful in helping us get things built properly and functioning better. The wording in the contract was a bit misleading, but in the end we worked through it. The system is great, we are a Dental DSO, therefore there are many fields that are unnecessary and I wish they could be removed. These are fields that I am unable to customize or remove, If there was a dental platform, I believe that the system releases will be much smoother and not have as many fixes to do. It seems as many of our "custom" fields are what disappears, but those fields are needed for Dentistry so that the system works the way its needed.

Pros

The organization of housing all provider, organization and location credentials. The ability to send a link to a new hire and they use the hub for onboarding. populating all info into the correct fields and not having to transfer date from a form they fill out. Capturing the signature and it populating to the enrollments apps. Being able to assign users at the office level to check the specific providers enrollment status of payers.

Cons

Every time a release happens, things break or go missing. The time spent having to correct those issue is a bit extreme.

Reason for choosing CredentialStream

Our newly hired VP of RCM at the time had used it in her previous job and recommended it to me. When I demo'd the system I was sold. Everything I wanted was included. However, after purchasing and building I did find out that many fields or capabilities I was needing/wanting, were not an option. That was a bit disappointing, however we have found work arounds.

Pros

I like the functionality and the systems ability to provide ongoing electronic verification directly from the source.

Cons

The system tends to run slow and glitches which slows down my workflow.

### "Could be a lot better"

Our training was not good, we needed more hands-on training, it would have been better to have someone personally from CS here for the first week to ensure that we were on the right track with using it, given that we migrated over from paper & Echo.

Pros

I like the designs, the capabilities of the system. I like that when switching between provider profile, that it will pick up under the same category wher you were previously working in the other profile.

Cons

We have had some many issues since we went live. The data transfer did not go smoothly so we personally ended up having to do a good deal of it ourselves. The sales team marketed a better product than what we received. We still arent able to produce reappointments in the system and no one has come up with the remedy for the issue yet. The application process in the HUB is shifty, sometimes it works well for the Providers and sometimes it freezes or stalls out while they're trying to complete the app. There are too many steps to any given process (i.e. workflows not automatically creating an alert for the due date options).

From Demo to sales to implementation, Credential Stream staff have been helpful and knowledgeable.

Pros

The ability to keep our record in one place and attach all necessary provider documents securely is very helpful. The automations in Credential Stream are incredibly helpful and almost feel like we hired a new FTE! I also appreciate that if we need new fields or forms loaded, they don't nickel and dime you to death!

Cons

The training is extensive and takes a bit of time to get through. We are anxious to use all of the features, but we are still learning everything Credential Stream can do. Hopefully in the next 90 days we will be fully functional

I was not part of the initial training. there is a lot to and I am slowing learning but it is slow. I need to ask IT for help a lot. some automations are not working even with setup form a one on one credentialstream instructor.

If able to find/afford a new system would change in a heartbeat. Set up took way too long, team members changed consistently, training was lacking. Basically after two years, still unable to populate an accurate, IL Cred Application etc. but made to go live anyway.

Pros

Allows our data to be in one system. Nothing additional to report.

Cons

Navigation. Bolt confusing. Numerous Data entry inefficiencies which greatly affect productivity. Lack of trust in form data and CAQH record populations.

Difficult to set up but worth the work! has taken us to a new level. We are just now working with the credentialing portion, but moving into the payer enrollment portion soon.

Pros

Very modifiable to your needs. Easy to use once set up. The support is always on standby to help with any situation. Easy to network with other users using thier "Thrive" networking platform.

Cons

Complex set up. Need to have some experience in computer prorgraming.

My experience overall has been great.

Pros

I like the ease of using CS. I appreciate the V-Source that provides a base to modify for own use.

Cons

There are still some areas within CS I would like to see implemented. For example, more automation with different folders of a provider's record. Being able to prepopulate areas based on another area (reduce redundancies). Some support needs to be worked on. I have had cases closed without me testing first to make sure this meets the need. At times it doesn't and when I reach back out I never get any response.

I was not involved in this decision so not sure what the deciding factor was.
