March 11, 2022 5.0 It is the only platform on which I found all the functionalities I need as a trainer. From the beginning it seems a bit complicated to understand the whole architecture of the portal, later it was easy for me to build interactive, adaptive and personalized courses. Pros 1\. Diversity of training solutions that can be used. 2. The portal has only fallen once in 9 years of daily use. 3. Integration of dozens of ad-ons that really help the training process Cons 1\. The fact that it does not integrate a SCORM export solution. 2. Extremely slow, limited customer service. They offer only laconic answers and are not focused on solving the problems faced by the administrator. Sometimes the distance between answers is 5-7 hours, even if they are in the US time zone. This is extremely frustrating. 3. Participants must pay monthly to access the platform, even after completing the course. At the beginning, the participants could check their account and diplomas without paying and only paid if they entered the course. Now they have no access to anything unless they pay. Pros It's great for school use as long as instructors know how to use it. It's got all of the basic functions and great dynamic user access capabilities. Cons Configuration items are very non intuitive - it takes so long to figure out at what level do I need to visit the configurations to make changes to a course. Pros The way I am free to set up classes the way I want to. There are many features. Cons I have a bit of a problem using spellcheckers. When they are marked red, they are not included in the text after you hit the save button. I would also like to have more than one possibility for payments. I would like credit card, Paypal, Alipay and other options in order to accommodate every client. I would also like to feel reassured that this software is compliant with European data protection laws. Professor Education Management Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Blended Learning Made Easy" December 1, 2018 5.0 My system of teaching the lessons and assessing the students changed when our institution adapted NEO LMS. Before, I am always worried of the suspension of classes and its effect to the flow of the lesson to be delivered but having NEO with me it eliminated the fear of not meeting my class in a face-to-face set up. NEO brings me closer to my students whether we go synchronous or asynchronous. Pros NEO LMS is very easy navigate. Lessons can easily be done even without the users guide or manual. I really like the customer support because of its efficient and quick response. In terms of grading assessments, I find it easy with the use of its Rubric feature. Before, I used to have a lot of papers to bring whenever I go but with NEO LMS, I just need to pull out my tablet to check the submissions of my students. Lastly, my students are more engaged and they enjoy more because of the gamification feature which other LMS don’t have. Cons I cannot think of any cons about NEO LMS. Its the perfect LMS for me. I have tested and tried other LMS which are complicated to use. But with NEO, everything is easy. If there is one thing that needs improvement, it would be the mobile app specifically for android devices. We use the software as an LMS for our online school and our students love being able to see their progress and grades as they progress through our courses. Cons We teach students as young as four, all the way up to adults, so the look of the LMS isn’t as vibrant as our younger students are accustomed to seeing. It has been a long and slow process getting things off the ground as we are learning as we go since there are no user manuals even for the admin functions. There is still so much more that we want to do and believe MATRIX will be able to, it's just taking the time to figure out how to do it. Pros There are a lot of features that can be turned on/off. It seems to have everything we need to accomplish out goals for an LMS. Cons There could be better documentation, there are not user manuals at all. Searching for help is time consuming and may not always get exactly what you are looking for. You have to implement a lot of things to discover how they work. Wish the relationship was more of a partnership; we are on our own pretty much until we message for help and that can even take a while to get the response we need. Cons As an educator and technology user in the classroom need to have off-line capability so in countries like mine where electricity is not a constant student can keep working while there is no connectivity and resume once they are back within the range of our net coverage. It is very easy to manage or navigate around. Parents and students have found using this system is intuitive and very user friendly! Cons One con comes to mind and that is the lack of features available to the Small Schools package. There should be a tier introduced that is between the Small School and Enterprise that allow a few more features for smaller schools that cannot afford the Enterprise package to be able to us or offer some sort of al-la-carte for all the features offered on the Enterprise package. Cons Not the easiest software to use BUT when you get used to it it's great (like most software solutions) the support (at least in our region) was not the best, it took weeks sometimes to get mini bugs fixed.
