Our use case is somewhat atypical, so many of the project and template buildouts have needed significant adaptation. The Nifty team has always been extremely supportive, responsive, and clear. We have identified many bugs and gaps over the years as we've grown with Nifty, and they've always resolved them quickly, or given us workarounds if they aren't prioritizing that fix at the moment. Pros I have a complex organizational structure with 300 employees, many volunteers and contractors, and over 65 departments, all of which need privacy between and among portfolios, but easy transfer of tasks and files between projects and portfolios. When selecting Nifty in 2020, we found that it was the only project management software that met all of our security and privacy needs. Because of this, I'm able for the first time to get a big picture of the activity and progress of all of my teams. Cons The learning curve, particularly for less tech savvy employees, has been quite high, and at times prohibitive for adoption. Adoption for stragglers has therefore taken 5+ years. However, those who do adopt it use it really consistently, and I'm able to manage those projects with essentially full visibility. Pros the user interface is friendly and you can understand it quickly Cons 1-Their database management and recording user data, for example, have an issue of duplication, and if you created a workspace and then deleted you will not be able to use this name again and the nifty system will keep sending you notifications about It like it still exists. 2-Customer support is not professional and most of the time they take around 4-5 days to reply to your questions. Once we got past the initial setup and learning curve, it actually reduced confusion and made it easier for everyone to know what they should be working on. The team behind Nifty is responsive, ships regular updates, and has been quick to address questions or suggestions, which gives me confidence to keep expanding how we use it. Pros I run a small business with a lot of moving parts, and Nifty has become the main place where we track tasks, deadlines, and goals throughout the year. The task management is flexible enough to handle everything from one-off to recurring work, and it’s easy to see who owns what and what’s falling behind. The built-in chat and comments help keep conversations tied to tasks instead of lost in email threads, and file sharing inside projects makes it simple to attach the right documents where they’re needed. I also appreciate that they take security seriously and continually improve the platform without bloating it with gimmicks, which makes it very good value for the money. Cons The main drawback is the learning curve, simply because there are so many ways to set things up and so many features to discover. It took some time to design a workspace that fit how my small team actually works day to day. And I can even embed other tools to further extend what it can do. Cons One thing I \*don't\* like is that I can only have one tab of a project open at at time - for example, if I need to get info from a Doc, I have to click over to Docs, but then to update a Todo, I have to leave the Doc and open the Todos. During my experience, I used most of the tools in the free version, which was complete. The paid versions allow you to add more features to complement your management. Cons At the time I used it, I found it hard to have a macro view of all the tasks, meaning I had to make some tricks in order to get what I wanted, and also had to check some extra videos for that. The best part about Nifty is how quickly they are releasing new features to improve their product. Their support team is second to none, as well. We get responses almost instantaneously, every time we need help with something. In terms of features and functionality, this app has it all! Cons There is only ONE THING that we truly have a gripe about, with Nifty. The SEARCH algorithm is not great. There's so many times we're searching for something and just can't find the thing we're searching for, despite knowing that we're using the correct keyword. I would LOVE to see them implement an Algolia search tool within nifty, or do something to create a better COMPREHENSIVE search function. If a word exists somewhere in a task, comment, native doc, google doc, sub-task, tag, project name, milestone, etc.... we should be able to quickly and easily find it. This is the only CON that we've run into with Nifty, time and time again. It is great that with Nifty we have automated dashboards that reflect updates directly and can be used to provide a live display of the level of progress and clarify many statistics at any time. I love the ease of adopting Nifty as an effective means of communication that enables me to reduce the movement between applications and complete more than one task from one station. It is also great how you can integrate and use Google Drive within Nifty so there is no need to attach docs but instead can work within the actual Drive file in Nifty. It has workload management and other high-level summaries of projects but it would be great to be able to build customized or filtered dashboards. It is my day to day management tool and makes my life so much easier. I would say is something in between Trello and Asana. It is more much more advanced than Trello but keeping it's simplicity and has pretty much the same features than Asana but with a better UX. Pros You can change views to see your tasks in a Kaban view, task list, milestones, Gannt project view, etc. But the best thing is that you can have a calendar view with all the tasks of the day/week/month. It has a really good UX and a mobile app to manage everything from your phone. It allows you to see either the teams workload or only your workload which can be especially useful for project managers. It also has many collaborative speaces. You can have conversations either at a task level or at the project level. You can share there links, files, resources... and it also has a specific workspace to share files and have all the project files that you need in one space. Cons Overall it has a great UX but there's a few things that could be improved. The calendar view is still a bit basic. I miss having tasks in different colors to prioritise and time-block properly. However, the product has a roadmap and is constantly impoving so I'm sure this is something we will see soon. Tasks Module & Milestones It's easy to create tasks in nifty and at the same time attach a particular task list to a Milestone. We can assign each tasks and its sub tasks to a particular member and create a task dependency , milestone dependency Discussion This is by far - my most favorite module of Nifty. This allows my team to have discussion with clients. Clients can attach their files , comments , leave message about project etc. Docs & Files Docs & Files section helps us to keep all relevant project details in one place. Mobile APP Nifty has a mobile app. It's so user friendly. Using the app , our clients, users can leave their comments attach files on the go. Cons It doesn't offer white label project portal. For few agencies, this might be a deal breaker. Also it doesn't have an Invoice / Payment module built in.
