Pros I have used many URL shorteners in the past, Goo.gl, Bit.ly, Rebrand.ly and YOURLS wins hands down every time. It has tons of functionality build in that you'd expect from a URL shortener like custom slugs and metrics. Plus, you can add more functionality with community-driven plugins Cons A lot of the plugins functionality should be baked in to the software by default such as QR code generation and the admin UI looks a bit outdated, could be given a refresh at some point. Also the installation requires a database to store the URLs, which is fine but it stores credentials inside the config file when it could be making use of the database for this like other database-driven applications such as WordPress. Finally, the installation requires manual editing of a config file, it would be nice if there was a setup wizard instead like WordPress and other similar applications offer.
