It provided just what I needed to enhance my online marketing. Pros What I like most about Bitly is its simple drag and drop your lengthy URL, then click it and almost instantly have a shortened link that is appealing to the eye for its users and their customers. Also, the name "Bitly" is descriptive of its function and very easy to remember when needing to use it again. Cons There were no dislikes I found with this product. I only wish I had found it earlier so more aggressive Bitly saves me time by modifying my long URLs and providing new customer advertising of Bitly would be helpful to potential users. It is easy to use and a free plan is available. The free account offers basic features that is more than enough to get a small business by. Pros Very simple to take a long URL and shorten it instantly. Comes in handy for social media posting and meeting character limits. Also for marketing materials and having easy to remember links for users to input into a browser instead of a complicated or long URL. It is also perfect for branding links. You can also easily customize the short URL to your choosing. We use the free account, but even then, the amount of features available or amount available to shorten URLs is generous. Cons The shortened link is case sensitive so you must input the URL as it is seen - capital letters and all. We have had instances in the past where people tried to type the shortened URL without the capital letters and the link does not work. July 19, 2019 5.0 Pros Bitly is so simple to use! I love that I can quickly and easily shorten lengthy URLs for our school's website or social media. Some URLs can be so long and complicated that you can't begin to type them out. Bitly simplifies the work and makes nice, concise URLs that are short and fit easily into text boxes or Twitter. Cons I really have no Cons. I can't even think of something bad about it. Maybe one thing is that it would be nice if the shortened URL contained some short reference to the original URL. Enter Bitly, an easy way to shorten and beautify your links. You don't have to freak out the user with a long, ugly URL and you don't have to sacrifice data tracking. Both of best worlds! I'm still tracking links from years ago. Helps in hiding the linked site and affiliate tags. Cons Premium program is definitely overpriced.
