I use, recommend and will continue to use this wonderful software for a long time. Pros What I like the most about Bitly link shortener is being able to shorten the links on my website and thus share it on social networks and in this way improve its aesthetics and greatly increase the possibility of more hits. Pros Bitly is intuitive and covers all my needs around shortened and custom links. I'm usually creating a custom URL for a poster or flyer. Bitly also creates custom QR codes which are incredibly helpful in the smartphone age. I love being able to track what links are getting the most traffic based on the analytics feature. It allows me to enter tags to have the links categorized. You can create links in a personalized way by changing the characters that appear in the link, it also tells you if it is already being used by another user. It allows you to do a study with different graphs to analyze how far your link reached. Pros I like Bitly because I can customize my links and it allows me to see all the metrics to be able to analyze how many clicks have been given on the link, what country these clicks are from, what platforms they clicked on, among other functions that Bitly allows you to do . It is easy to access it, you just have to enter its page, create your account, it gives you the option to choose a platform to create your user, such as Facebook, Google or Twitter, once you create your account to cut your link you must access where it says CREATE BITLINK, a bar appears where you paste the link to use, then a link is generated which you must copy to use it in your publications, emails, messages, etc. Cons A negative point is that being a widely used platform, shortened links are not available, they should include more statistics to analyze traffic. The link analytics are very accurate and update in real-time. Even if you are a beginner in digital marketing, you won't find it difficult to use. Cons If there could be a way to group your links for easy access especially if you have a lot of old links that you quickly need to access for example putting them in a folder or something. I recently upgraded to get the redirect feature but was extremely disappointed to find out that I only get 3 redirects a month. Overall, I don’t think I will paying for a plan again. Pros I found Bitly to work extremely well with link customization and analysis. You are also able to redirect links if you are a paid user. It is fairly easy to use with a UI that is not difficult to manage. Cons What I disliked most is the fact that the Bitly logo appears in the QR codes that are generated. Figuring out ways to get folks information and materials they needed in an online synchronous virtual learning experience was difficult. If we were in person, we could provide handouts and learning aids to support individual and group learning. Bitly filled that void when we went remote. I now use it to create links and QR codes that are accessible and easy to navigate to in the context of teaching. It has worked great. Pros I love being able to create customizable links that are short and creative. I always integrate technology when I teach. Whether in person or online, I use bitly share learning materials, guides, tools, and evaluations with my students and participants. One feature that is also great I'd the QR code generator. I've recently started to use that even more in my training sessions and it has worked quite well, too. Cons Bitly delivers and works as promised. Pros We require multiple links for our paid campaigns and use bitly for all our link creations. Bitly not only helps you create links but also provides you analytics for the links created and helps you track the clicks and check the demographics for the same. This helps us take more effective marketing decisions. The freemium version of bitly is sufficient as it provides you all the essential features that are needed. If your website has abnormally long links or you need to have good analytics on your links there is no better tool in my opinion. I used Bitly extensively for academic work and it was an indispensable tool to report to my board about the performance of the academic posts I was putting up. Link performance based on time and geographical locations allowed me to fine tune the posts that were being published. The easy integration with Buffer also allowed me to publish and shorten links at the same time. Cons This is one app I cannot say had a weak spot for me. Pros Bitly is an excellent url shortener, at the beginning it was very limited but since then we can customize its links. The click analysis on the short link generated is well done and this is very practical for communication campaigns on various networks. Bitly is a staple these days.
