Pros You can almost do everything you need with in the software. They keep adding more and more integrations so eventually it will all be in one place and I love it. Cons I do not like the home page layout as it is a little intimidating to my new staff when training them and they find it confusing. Its okay once you get used to it though. It is hampered by an extremely outdated user interface that makes training very difficult. Pros It can handle multiple types of classes and allows us to bill customers each month through recurring payments. It integrates with our website, so class availability is updated automatically. Cons The user interface has way too many buttons and is very difficult to navigate. Simple tasks such as moving a student to a different class requires way too many clicks. I bought my swim school 1/1/25 and Jackrabbit made the process smooth for myself and the former owner. Cons I don't have any complaints about Jackrabbit Swim. So far, Jackrabbit Swim is able to adapt to the needs of our business and we have grown and evolved over the last 8 years, including a change in ownership. Sometimes the updates are hard to follow but I’ve always found that they are better in the long-run. It’s been more than efficient for the needs of our company. Very disappointing the hours have been modified to start so late. When admin get work done in the am before classes start Cons JR is a very powerful system to the point where you can’t not pull simple information from one module ie students to another transactions. I recommend it to lots of people as a business owner with multiple locations and multiple instructors with both one on one instruction and Group Lessons. This has been the most fitting software for me. Pros I love how easy the software is for me to use as a manager, I love the reports, I love that my instructors can log on and see their classes. I love there’s a place for my instructors. I love that my waivers are signed automatically. Does take some admins work off hand, but it quite a bit of work to get all information transferred to a facility's original software, to a new one, JackRabbit. Pros The calendar! Hovering toggle over class prompting class details to pop up. Cons Skill editing options. A bit confusing to check skill progress that's assigned to the class, versus skill being assigned to a kiddos profile. I think it checks most checkboxes for various fitness/recreationally based business needs. Pros The pricing structure was a big point of emphasis for us. We are a start up swim lesson program and needed to do some research for different programs that met our need and was affordable. Jackrabbit was great in this regard because it allowed us to be on a lower tier until our memberships rose. I also love the customer service. The amount of training and help I received when we first purchased the software all the way through our implementation of the Jackrabbit Plus App has been phenomenal. They are patient and make sure you understand the features fully. Cons There is a learning curve with the program. This could be a turn off, but I believe once you learn its quirks it becomes easy to use. This could include setting up the overall business to creating classes and dealing with the parent portal. There are some steps that are necessary, but seem like they could implement better because initially if you forget to set something up you will have to restart and fix the issue to catch back up. Pros The customer service is incredible! They pair you up with someone to help you start out and let you use all the features on a trial to see if you like it. The scheduling features and skills tracking sold it for me! Great software. Cons We have an extensive waitlist right now. Jackrabbit charges per student and it gets pricey. I don’t like this feature as much because it causes me to not use the online registration and have to frequently update my leads if a family doesn’t sign up. It also doesn’t save all their information once you put them into the lead file. I also wish we could set a time for registration to open. Not just a date. Our parents are crazy so we have to allow their access one at time. I like how there is a feature for attendance, skills, communication to parents and billing all in one place. It makes it a one stop shop and easy to use. Cons I would like to see an option to have the admin be able to use & see the portal as a parent would during registration or use. This will help me if I have a parent face-to-face or over the phone and I can show them exactly what they would see. I would also LOVE to see a version of Jackrabbit that was built for small scale classes & clients for a private swim instructor. They would be able to use all of the features of the program but only for like 15-20 children during a season or 6-month span. Would recommend to others, but would also love to work with Jackrabbit to be able to customize a bit further. Pros It is user friendly and I appreciate the video tutorials in the help section. Much better than having to email someone and wait for a response, so they are thorough and cover almost every single topic you could be looking for. Parents have found the Parent/Portal easy to use as well. Cons There is some information I need to order to run each session that is not collected so I have to email participants to collect that necessary data (such as parent/guardian DOB is needed to enter them as members of the facility). Also I wish when pulling transactions to process payments, it would pull those that have paid already as well (and label them as paid) so I don't think I have missing payments. When transfer participants between sessions, the data does not always track automatically either (I have to shuffle participants a decent amount because they registered for the wrong class or need to combine classes) and when I go to process payments, typically the missing transactions belong to those that were transferred from one class to another. Weekly calendar is a great tool for a quick snap shot of what classes are open/full and where adjustments need to be made to help with movement. Cons We would like to be able to utilize the parent portal more for notes/updates to the customer. Currently they can only see their skills and level. We have to give personal updates or emails to give more specific details. The transaction page can get a little confusing sometimes when there are credits applied or changes made to linked transactions. And now that I am returning to teaching private and semi-private lessons in backyard pools, I wouldn't run my business without Jackrabbit. They have always been intuitive to make changes as the swim school owners needed something to more easily run their business. They now have a tremendous staff who helped me Jump Start my business again with Jackrabbit so I could offer online registration for summer classes. My whole summer filled in less than 24 hrs. THANK YOU JACKRABBIT for helping me set up my classes and fix my glitches. It's smooth sailing from now on..... LOVE JR!! Pros I found Jackrabbit years ago before I even had an indoor swim school with two pools. I so wanted to offer online registration to my families and found Jackrabbit about two weeks before Summer registration. The owner helped me list all the dates, times, and locations of my summer pools. Registration was flawless. Then when I went indoors to my newly built swim school, it truly helped to already have this piece working effortlessly. After using it for over 10 yrs. I had a hiatus and came back to Jackrabbit. Cons I don’t like how there’s not a calendar with all classes on it. On other softwares I’ve used, it was super easy to find a class simply by clicking on a calendar. I only go to a few places on the sight and that works wells for me Support is always there to help when needed Pros Easy to use once you get your information set up. Still lots to learn Cons Adding schedules are tedious especially one on one classes When achieving classes, if you need to go back and have to undo, lots of client information is lost on their end.
