The itemit team have always been helpful when we need them, and the software itself is very reliable, flexible and easy to use. It lacks bloat that other systems often have. March 19, 2026 5.0 I use it daily with my class when they checkout equipment to go home with them. It's been amazing and I have had no issues! I love knowing where everything is. Pros It's still just as easy to check items out and to be able to see what is in or out and the condition. We have had some lawlessness and disorganization as we kept growing and expanding. This has put a ton of organization around what we do and I am excited to build out our product even more. Pros I enjoy how versatile it is. It fits into a lot of different industries. We use it as a Video Production organization and it is a life saver when it comes to tracking where things are and maintenance schedules. Cons I feel the app could be a little more intuitive. Took me a few tries to find where they put the "bookings" section on the app. After a while, it did become routine. It's easy to enter inventory and manage items. Cons Search function is limited as such, best way to filter and search is via reports and setting up the filters to get the right information is a bit of a challenge. In a newly remote working environment it has also allowed us to easily and effectively keep track of sometimes expensive equipment that is being used at remote locations and peoples homes. Pros ItemIt matched our use case of managing and tracking equipment in an R&D lab setting where changing project requirements and an innovation led environment meant we needed a system that could keep up and be flexible enough to meet these demands. The ability to link QR codes to both locations and items coupled with the mobile app means asset tracking in our lab has become simple and beneficial to our 40+ engineers and all equipment is now tracked effectively by individuals. Cons We would like to see improvements to reporting so we can more easily do periodic audits, we would also like to be able to assign more fine grained permissions to users so that we can empower our engineers to take an even greater ownership of the lab and assets. Many other products we reviewed were overly complex and expensive in comparison. Cons Occasionally we have issues with incorrect bar code readings and have to re-scan items. Occasionally, items would become unaccounted for either by being misplaced or overlooked, being moved by other contractors, etc. Our use of itemit means this is both less likely to happen, and easier to resolve on the occasions it does. Pros The app provides a simple-to-use, time-efficient solution for geographical tracking of our inventory hired out to site. It also allows to set maintenance reminders and monitor equipment servicing. The ability to filter and export data for external analysis is extremely useful as well. Cons An additional feature for tracking time at current location for each piece of inventory would be a useful addition, but all the existing features work well and the app is easy to use overall. They're also very responsive when I've made a feature suggestion/reported a bug previously; they're always trying to improve it. Cons At first there were a couple of features that I thought we wouldn't use, however after using the system for a good while now, there's different ways to use some of the features, that are in addition to the way it's meant to be used. Will carry on with them for the foreseeable future. Pros Itemit is a great company that I have used for a year now and it it great to keep track of everything we have in the business for IT. I can narrow it down to individuals and find out everything they have and keep a close eye of what each person has. Easy to use. Cons The fact that I cannot do anything outside of it, for example, sending reminder emails to check this person or these items. I don't like the fact that I cannot put for example when this person has started or left the company and then it would make it easier for me to track who I have moved stuff from and to.
