The only real complaint that I have is the costs. But, to be fair, they need to make money too. Pros What I like about wave videos are that they are easy to use. The templates make setting up your own video much simpler than other video software. Cons I did not care for the cost. Some of the more advanced features are a little pricey. I have had to call/chat sometimes several times with the same issue, but the support is patient and goes over it with me. Having this program enables me to be right in there with the other marketers/advertisers (since videos are the thing now). It allows me to step up my advertising on different platforms. to use professional videos THANK YOU Pros It really is easy to use. I am not internet/computer savvy and I am finally getting the use of my hands back so clearly not on the same playing field as other advertisers, but even I am able to do it! I like that support is available to assist and it's not someone emailing me. Truly a game changer for the advertiser/marketer of today. Cons 1) Music. Everyone's taste in music is different and the pieces there may not coincide with personal likes. Pros I love how it easily helps you adjust videos to various sizes. Cons Trimming videos has not always been that accurate or easy. The way you have to change font colors is annoying. Seeing Wave.video piqued curiosity, but I wasn't sure I'd really need it as I also have inVideo, Final Cut Pro, Camtasia, etc. I went ahead purchased the Business Plan to check it out. I'm pretty happy that I did. It is far superior to Clipscribe in that you have access to stock video, music, and you have a timeline where you can edit your clips and add in fun elements to it. It took me a little bit to navigate, so I don't feel it is 100% user friendly off the bat, but after playing with it for a few hours, I totally understand how to use it, and I LOVE everything I'm exploring. Overall I'm really happy with this purchase and do not see a need to continue using ClipScribe. That's a win in my book! Pros Easy to use Easy to learn Beautiful interface So many features to play with and integrate Able to add multiple clips to the timeline, add stock video, stock photos, and royalty free music Able to save brand colors and fonts Able to upload custom fonts (huge win!) Pros I really enjoyed their templates and access to stock footage. You can easily search for videos and import them without having to leave the site. Cons The editor can sometimes be temperamental. Pros The web based platform is very user intuitive. As some one with minimal video editing experience the drag and drop nature of the program is simple to understand. You can make minor edits and add things to existing videos very easily. These simple edits are perfect for someone in my position because i can make minor tweaks and save some money by not having a professional make such minimal tweaks. Cons Because the its so simple it can only do so much. You really cant remove things from a video on lay over or make simple cuts. Pros I liked that Wave.video was so easy to use! I needed something professional looking in a short timeframe and created my first one in 20 minutes! Got rave reviews and some new business for my practice as well! Cons I would say the one thing I liked the least is that there are quite a few of the very popular or really good clips and photos that have to be paid for to use in the production work. If I'm having to pay a fee for the service already, I wouldn't think I would need to purchase these in addition. You can edit, add music, voice over, images with effects and a lot more. The hosting and embedding is amazing. You have your own page per video. I used it for hosting my courses. I get rid of my Vimeo subscription thanks to wavevideo Cons The templates are very basic. They could improve a lot in this area. I ended up getting a lifetime deal but rarely use ti these days - I now use Filmora - which is also difficult to use! Pros The drag and drop feature and templates editor is great - a good amount of stock footage to use, makes it easy to import video too. Cons It's difficult to edit the audio - this has improved in the last while, but adding multiple audio clips to layer is not the easiest and any thing more than basic edits to the timeline is unwieldy. Especially in the financial sector where some of the content can be dry. It's a great way to change things up. There's a little bit of a learning curve to get used to the tool but once you get the hang of it the process goes pretty quickly. It's super helpful to plan what you want to do outside of the tool, then just put your pieces in place once you've finalized your copy and image selection. Doing a lot of editing inside the tool can be painful. Pros Great for making quick videos on a topic where you want to share information. Especially in the financial sector where some of the content can be dry. It's a great way to change things up. Cons The options can feel a little constraining. For example, it would be nice to have more flexibility for how images appear. And it can be cludgy to move around in the web interface, especially when your editing text or moving from one image to another. Finally, it would easier if we could connect Wave with already licensed stock asset accounts. Pros This company has put some serious thought into creating a program that offers users the features and flexibility they want. Frankly, it's fantastic. You can customize everything from the dimensions of your video to the font style and transitions. Cons While the program is feature-rich, this often comes at the cost of website load times and learning curve. These limitations are overcome though! Additionally, I would like to see more effort into the graphic design department. They certainly aren't at the top of their game when it comes to templates. I had a trade show looming (within just a week or two), and I needed to create two different videos (one for JUST my brand, and one that looped in two other brands who were including products in our booth). And BOTH videos needed to be able to show on a 16:9 TV monitor, a 9:16 touchscreen, and scaled for various social networks. With Wave.video I created (and resized) my videos in no time. The show — and the videos — were a huge success! We now plan to use this tool for all of our trade show videos, as well as for future social media video needs. Pros I LOVE how quick and easy this software is. Because EVERYTHING is included (free and paid stock video clips, music, typography, logos, etc.) I can literally make a video in MINUTES! Cons The BIGGEST drawback, and the single factor that keeps me from saying that Wave.video is LITERALLY the ONLY social video editing tool you'll EVER need, is the way they handle logos / transparent graphics. Currently, you can add your logo as a Watermark, but this will show on EVERY screen. If you want to include more than one logo (i.e. use a different image on different screens, etc.) there isn't a way (at least not that I've found). There needs to be a transparent image option added into the edit section (make it function as a layer that you can choose how/when to transition in, just like you can do with typography). I love the librarary of images and audio. Cons Many of the really good images cost extra. Bummer! I would like a little more customization options on colors and layout.
