Over the years, different leaders at my organization have asked about exploring different voting options, and as the staff member who administers and executes the elections, I am always a proponent of continuing to use AssociationVoting! Pros Great customer service and fast responses if I needed assistance. Great UI for members to use for their voting needs. I also really like the voting report to use to track member engagement year over year. Great built-in features to replicate past elections to keep the settings the same. Cons Not many cons. There is a little learning curve but AssociationVoting staff are so responsive it's very easy to troubleshoot. Website Manager Civic & Social Organization Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Best Value and Quality Voting Softeware" January 20, 2026 5.0 Overall the AssociationVoting system was easy to set up and it has user-friendly interfaces that keeps track of the voting. Pros For the most part, the learning curve on the AssociationVoting software was relatively short. Customer Support was quick and accurate whenever we needed guidance. After evaluating 21 different eVoting software packages, AssociationVoting proved to be the best value for our money. The system allows for customization of the login procedure through a user-friendly table, which is one of the biggest advantages we found compared to the competition. This feature enabled us to guarantee one vote per household (per our bylaws), even though multiple email accounts exist within each household. Cons The terminology used for “campaigns” took a little time to understand at first, and I had to contact Customer Support to fully grasp how this feature worked. In this system, a campaign simply refers to scheduled voter reminder emails that are automatically sent at specific points during the voting window (for example, at the beginning, middle, and end of the voting period). If this feature were titled “Scheduled Voter Reminder Emails,” I believe it would have been more self-explanatory and easier to understand. I think my experience as a staff member who helps manage the election has been a bit mixed. I don't think it's a difficult platform, but I can see how it might be challenging for others to manage, which is something I think about as we work toward transitioning election management to a volunteer member committee. I'm not opposed to keeping AssociationVoting as our platform for another year or so. Pros For context, AssociationVoting is the only election management tool I've used, so I don't have much experience or insight with other platforms to have a strong opinion. I will say, as a staff member who inherited this platform from a past administrator with no instructions, it is a self-teachable tool. This year, we ended up in a strange situation where two elections were needed. The customer service line was great. The representative was super helpful and explained things clearly, walking me through what was needed to hold two elections. The process wasn't ideal, but the representative provided friendly and quality service. Cons I mentioned that the platform is self-teachable, but it's not intuitive. The guides are very wordy, and I think more visual prompts would be helpful. For example, there are so many prompts for personalized language, but it's not always clear where a user will see the prompt and how it would appear on their screen. It requires extra time to create test voter profiles just to see how things appear on the voter's end. It's priced very reasonably and tech support has always been great - responsive and helpful. Pros Easy to use, and manages our national and chapter elections with the security and integrity needed to conduct valid, tamper-free elections. Admin user guides provided are clear providing step-by-step instructions. Campaign set up is easy and reminder emails can be scheduled. Cons Admin interface/menus can be confusing at times as some of the menus aren't intuitive, but after using for several elections now we find it easy to navigate. We've been using it for several years now and love how user-friendly it is, both to set up and for the voters themselves. Also, they have customer support that is second to none! Cons Really can't think of anything much. There's a small learning curve in how to set it up the first time, but the great customer support gets you through that. It is my second time to vote. I am very happy that I have learned how to set my election. Pros It is secure, and you can have a system-generated report. You can set a weight of vote which is necessary for the associations. I have not checked other voting platforms, but this is tailor fit for the associations, unlike the traditional settings of google forms. Cons Well, I can have one election only per license. Perhaps, they can set a validity period like 30 days. In case the election did not pushed through and the association needs to have special election after a number of days, you have to renew the license. Moreover, for voting on separate groups, you can only have one link for that. Like in my case, I have a residential and a commercial group voting separately. Since the two groups are included in one link regardless of number of pages, anyone who has credentials can vote through the link even on the other group since they can see that. Pros We recently added the Live Election feature, and it has so far streamlined the process well. I appreciate that it forces you to clone the election results in the My Elections section so that step isn't accidentally missed. Cons The scroll function (especially on the My Elections page) and maximize/minimize of the menu pane are often slow to respond or glitchy.
