The first time I did one, it was, admittedly, a touch confusing, but their support team was able to handhold me through the whole process and even copied over a previous election for me so I wouldn't have to reinvent the wheel. Now, I feel like a pro even though I've only done a handful of these, and that's because the platform itself is intuitive. Pros I like how user friendly the platform is. It's very easy to navigate and the setup process is seamless compared to other options we've tested. Cons Not a fan of how the unsubscribes work, but I do understand that it's industry standard to remove the email address from your platform and not just that one election. I also don't love that there isn't an option for admins to opt someone back in, as our members tend to ask us to do so on their behalves but we aren't able to. Pros Our organization uses Association Voting to conduct our elections for the Board of Directors. For the benefits that AV offers, the cost of a subscription is well worth it. You are able to conduct elections for elected positions, bylaws amendments, etc. Elections are secure. Following up with non-voters is easy. Their customer support is quick and efficient. Cons It takes a little bit of time to refamiliarize myself with the interface each time I use it (once per year.) Perfect for associations needing reliable elections without technical headaches or premium pricing. In general, when it comes to elections or data collection or analysis of both, this is the platform you go to. Pros Outstanding customer support and rock-solid reliability during live elections. The intuitive interface makes it easy for both staff and members to use without training. Also, making surveys is so easy, in addition to polls as well. Cons Form creation is somewhat limited to their templates - would love more customization options. The reporting could be more detailed for complex analytics needs. Also it needs a bit of a learning curve in general, along with the bugs and issues being apparent a little, but not too many of them. Pros The product is easy to setup and easy to use. The customer support has been excellent. The reports are great. I would highly recommend the platforms, especially to Associations struggling with quorum. Cons There are no negatives to report. They'll even review your election (if asked) to check for mistakes. Pros The best and most economical way to reach the full membership. Good customer support. Have used it for six years with no complaints. Cons It's a bit of a learning curve the first time you go to use it. Once you get past that first year of use, the following years are a bit easier. The instructions were clear and setting up the voting polls was easy. It was nice the software retained previous election information that we could edit and re-use. Pros Easy to use with a simple learning curve. Once we understood the flow, we were able to move through the software and set up our election process. Cons There was very little that we did not like about the platform. Everything worked for us just fine. Navigating through some of the old communications was the only challenge we had, but even that was not too difficult. Cons The user interface feels a bit dated, but it works well, and once you get your feet under you, it's fine. It works pretty well, as long as you have a good internet service. Pros The platform is very user-friendly. The customer support is always available. It is cloud-based. Total anonymity for voters. Guarantees the privacy of the vote. Cons We have been using AV for multiple processes, and we do not have negative aspects. We had issues once, when the internet service provided by the venue was not stable. Any and all questions that I have brought to them have been fully addressed in a professional and approachable manner. Hope F. has been amazing! Pros We recently added the Live Election feature, and it has so far streamlined the process well. I appreciate that it forces you to clone the election results in the My Elections section so that step isn't accidentally missed. Cons The scroll function (especially on the My Elections page) and maximize/minimize of the menu pane are often slow to respond or glitchy.
