They are professional and timely, in addition to being at a good price point. Pros Phone support and price were unmatched and were extremely helpful in setting up communication for my new business Cons I had a hard time setting it up myself but the phone assistance for setup was fantastic. Looking forward to using the service for my business! Love all the additional features you can get to up your business phone game! Pros I had read their customer support was legendary but \[sensitive content hidden\] really proved it! I had been putting off setting up my account for months so I wrote in and got an appointment. About two hours prior I thought I'd better set up the app on my phone to make the setup easier. I was very lucky to get \[sensitive content hidden\] , who saw I was having trouble with the bot and stepped in live. He ended up answering all of my questions, was able to add a few services I wanted and even helped with the recording, etc. It's one thing to get an invoice every month and another to be able to associate it with a company that really provides great, human, customer support. These days you can't get anyone to help but Unitel recognizes people will pay for good service and good customer service creates a loyal following. Thanks Unitel for having people like \[sensitive content hidden\] on staff to help with patient, friendly, knowledgeable advice and technical skill. Can you tell, I'm a big fan of \[sensitive content hidden\] (and no, never met him before) Cons Nothing so far. Support has been there whenever needed, and additional features such as the faxing capability have only increased the value proposition for me. Pros I have been using Ooma for several years. Recently their Telo device stopped connecting to my internet service, and tech support was unable to determine what the issue was. Tried the GoDaddy phone service, which also had some bugs. Finally came across Unitel, and what a pleasure. Everything works as I hoped and more. The faxing ability will save me an additional $100 annual fee I currently pay to a stand alone fax service. So far, anytime I've had a question, Unitel's reps have been there to quickly answer and resolve any and all issues. Very pleased with their service. Highly recommend. Cons Being a little technology illiterate, I was somewhat confused when initially setting the system up, but a combination of trial and error and tech support resolved all issues. Pros It appeared to be affordable and cost efficient. In addition, it seemed to be an easy setup but quickly recognized it was not. Cons My experience with this company was extremely disappointing. What initially appeared to be a simple setup quickly turned into a frustrating process. I made a purchase under the impression that I would be able to utilize a custom number, only to find out shortly afterward that this was not actually an option. When I called for clarification, the customer service representative, Lexi, responded with an unprofessional attitude and failed to clearly explain the process or offer any practical solutions. The lack of helpful support only added to the confusion and frustration. I will say that the manager, Wendy, was more professional and took the time to explain how the company operates and what services are actually available. However, another major drawback is that refunds are handled strictly through email correspondence and can take 3–5 business days to process. Overall, I strongly recommend doing thorough research before using this company so you fully understand their services and policies before making a purchase. It was simpler than I thought - I chose the toll free number offering that worked best for my online business and was prompted to schedule a call to set up my online account and personalized professional voicemail message. I really appreciate the complimentary professional messages too. Cons This is not a problem with UniTel. I did have some challenges recording my personal voicemail message since I am on a mac. I ended up downloading a voice recording app and recorded my message but then realized the file needed to be a mp3 file. So then I found an online converter which converted my file over to the right format. I was able to solve the problem but it just took a couple of additional steps.
