### "This app has been game changing for how we communicate with staff."

Pros

I like the ease of use as a Coordinator. My time spent scheduling has shrunk majorly, leaving me more time to focus on recruiting, on-boarding and training. The calendar makes it really easy for me to see what my week looks like. The sorting function help me isolate events to more easily see events. Even the color and font choices used in the apps is pleasing to the eye! The support from the Nowsta team has been amazing. They always respond within minutes through their direct messaging function and not only resolve the issue, but are a blast to work with. It's been a year that we have used the software and there have been endless improvements to functionality. They have expanded the system in many ways, allowing us to change our payroll functions and save money. Many times, we have seen areas for improvement, have sent the Nowsta team suggestions and then seen the tweaks in the app a few weeks later. The team at Nowsta is the ultimate example of continuous improvement. My staff really enjoys using the app and it has actually been a help in hiring as well. I mention it during the interview and I have seen candidates' faces light up with excitement that we schedule with such a convenient form of communication.

Cons

The timeclock function on the app can be buggy and not record proper times, but I let the Nowsta team know and it's usually fixed right away. It's also an easy fix as a Coordinator, to adjust the times on the desktop.

Nowsta's platform is so intuitive it has been a lifesaver for staffing our catering events. The ease of use for our team and the communication tools built into the platform save us hours of work each week.

Pros

The time it saves our team every week as we juggle staffing each week. It's especially helpful when changes happen (as we all know they do). The built in communication tools are great for alerting our team to changes quickly.

Cons

We also have restaurants and just haven't been able to figure out how to use if for that staffing as well.

Been fine

Pros

I had to get into using NOwsta because of one of my clients, I don't have too much to say but it doesn't have the features I need to completely use it. I have to still use my schedule and also they still have to email in hours. Saves me on sending out the schedule but not much more on the other side.

Cons

that it doesn't have everything I need, not as easy as I would like.

Quick, easy to see availability of front of house staff and schedule accordingly Love the ability to note on individual staffing when they worked shifts. We use it as a tool to document what a new staff member learned on shift and if they need to improve. Great tool overall communication from event staff to record growth or needs

With nowsta we are staying organized and it helped push our companies staffing methods into the digital Era. Using an app vs sending emails and making calls has saved so much time. \[sensitive content hidden\] and \[sensitive content hidden\] have been so helpful to me since day 1 and care about their clients and how this program can help them every day.

Pros

Nowsta customer service is always top notch! The software is so user friendly from both an admin pov and staff member pov. It has the ability to be so event specific and you can truly tailor it to your companies needs! This allows you to see all information on the go, whenever you need it! Nowsta also makes employee communication easier with the use of notifications and viewing team contact info. I honestly cannot say enough great things about this software.

Cons

I have no complaints, truly. And if I did, I know Nowsta would do everything they could to fix them. Nowsta has helped me at 2 different companies over 4+ years and it is one of the top 3 things required for me to do my job properly.

There was no choice for me, I insisted on stopping the use of paycom scheduling and using nowsta.

I would like a "Onsite Contact" click button function, specially when running late for a shift it would be great to be able to click the onsite contact to let then we are running late, etc.. without having to stop and dialing the number

It's user friendly - attractive, easy to navigate and make updates. Humorous little phrases pop up while refershing while working. Nowsta makes staffing and events logistics and organization, which can be difficult to organize a breeze!

Good it has been overall good. Only with scheduling a shift for someone and not sending an update for scheduled shifts is my only complaint.

Pros

We like Nowsta it works well for gig work. Efficiency overall for staff to pick up or deny shifts quickly.

Cons

Your current hours are not tallied on the first screen. Hours worked on the first screen would be so efficient.

Just like any other sort of technology today it takes a little getting used to. We were coming from an antiquated system to something fresh and new, but the team walked us through everything step-by-step, and make sure that we understand every aspect of the app..

### "Nowsta truly transformed our catering companies staffing operations! "

Nowsta has eliminated our need for paper/hand written shift times, confusion over who was at what event and for how long, wondering what was the pay for that particular shift and the need to spend countless hours calculating every employees hours/pay come payroll time. Most of all, Nowsta has connected all our employees and with the app, given each the convenance of handheld information. Oh, and Nowsta integrates with our catering software Caterease which was our biggest selling point because we only have to enter event information once and it is transferred over to Nowsta with all the details needed for the employees. From a Caterers view point, I do not think there is anything else out there that can come close to Nowsta for us. So happy we made the move to Nowsta and there's no turning back!

Pros

From an Admin stand point, I love how Nowsta is so easy to edit; staff information, times, position costs, literally everything! I love the availability checks that can go out as whatever I want, they do not have to be attached to an event. I love the multiple ways that I can inform my staff of shifts available via shifts requests and publishing to a first come first serve deal. It's so easy to make announcements to staff members who are scheduled for event shifts. Staff members get notified instantly of any event changes. I can set preferences to where I receive emails every time a staff member accepts/declines a shift, when new events are entered into Nowsta (we have the Caterease interface), when staff members do not clock into their shifts on time and so on. I could go on and on... From an employees stand point, Nowsta gives me all the information that I need for an event. Its linked with Google Maps and with one click, I get GPS directions to my event. I can get notifications of upcoming events I am scheduled for. I clock in and out with my phone, no company timeclock box needed. I can easily add breaks to my shift. I can clock into an unscheduled shift, like for kitchen/office staff members who work daily yet do not have schedule kitchen or office hours. It is soooo easy! Makes everything soooo easy!! Hands down the BEST Customer service crew I have ever worked with! I love chatting with them even tho I try not to have to. :)

Cons

The only thing at the moment that I wish Nowsta could do is have flat rate delivery options. I currently use normal staffing hours to calculate deliveries but they should be flat rates that do not affect employees hours but we make it work. Looking forward to the upgrade that includes flat rate fees.

Nowsta improved a lot our booking/scheduling system, specially after we hired more people, expanding our team. It helped us saving time with timesheets and also is helpful when we do sign ins. The staff really liked to have an app to accept the jobs and check their roster. This was a constant request from them and Nowsta came to fill this need and was well accepted between our team.

Pros

On a daily basis, the staff scheduling and the timesheets feature made our life a lot easier and helped to share on a simple way the information between our management team. Nowsta made the communication with our team easier and straightforward. We used to send the jobs via text message/Whatsapp - we still keep doing that, but not with the same frequency. With Nowsta we get faster responses about the jobs and works really well with the majority of our staff. Another benefit of Nowsta is that we can book the staff in advance with much more efficiency and give an estimate idea to our clients about the bookings, something that we had the necessity to do and was more complicated and time consuming before we started to use Nowsta.

Cons

We miss some features/tools that would be useful considering our business. One thing is to know who is booked without clicking on a job. We would like to have the possibility to move the mouse and see the names of the staff booked for a job. Also would be good to have a tool to check the list of all the staff booked to work on a day, if possible, with the categories. Some days we are very busy and this is critical so we can check who is not working yet. What we usually do is to check staff by staff to see who is booked or not. We also noticed sometimes that Nowsta have some mistakes related to conflicts about a job. We noticed that sometimes Nowsta informs that the person is booked and she/he is not booked on that day. Apparently there is a glitch, because sometimes we noticed that the person was booked and removed for example, but Nowsta still shows a conflict about the schedule.

### "I've threatened to quit if I can't have Nowsta"

I was with another company before the pandemic in the same role, and used Nowsta there. So I pushed hard to get it at my new job, and it has made scaling up our post-pandemic operations much easier. I've also found that the Nowsta gnomes are great about integrating feedback and working out new features.

Pros

I love how fast I can work with Nowsta--building events, assigning staff, sending out information, moving people around from event to event, duplicating events, attaching pdfs with information that my teams will need. The mobile app is much easier for my team to use than our old system. The different kinds of reports I can generate are useful. And it's fun, compared to the alternatives I've worked with or researched. Other products may have the same functionality, but are harder to navigate or require more keystrokes to do basic things. Nowsta is responsive, robust, and clear.

Cons

Our one big challenge is that Nowsta can't export to the .iif format that our particular version of QuickBooks needs, and we're still looking for a workaround. But it works with a lot of other systems, our experience shouldn't put you off.

Nowsta has been fairly responsive to our requests to improve the product and their customer service is fantastic and quick to respond (and troubleshoot issues).

Pros

Nowsta is an essential scheduling and timeclock tool in our catering company. Employees in the field can easily get shift information including GPS directions, times, and uniform requirements They also can log breaks and timeclock info. Shift requests are easy and simple to respond to for employees. We have been using Nowsta for many years and are very happy with it.

Cons

I wish that Nowsta was a little easier to use for scheduling full time employees with somewhat regular shifts. They have a weekly scheduler in beta mode, but it is still clunky and doesn't allow you to schedule employees without entering individual daily shifts. Other programs we have used allowed us to Enter a shift and then click a box for which days of the week that shift applied to.

I can not say enough how much I love Nowsta! I am very picky with my software and systems I have in place for my business. Nowsta along with Tave (another software system) work perfect for me! The Nowsta team is wonderful! Always there to help if I have a question. Nowst is a definite game changer for me and my business!

Pros

This software keeps me organized, keeps the associates organized. I love the systems, I love the real time notifications ~ I just love everything about it!

Cons

It took me a little while to get use to the software, but it was a small learning curve for me. When I send out a message to the team ~ and then go look at the announcement in my announcement tabs, it's difficult for me to find it after I've read it, doesn't seem to be in chronological order once a message, or announcement is read. ~ Also it's very difficult to get on my nowsta page as an administrator on my phone when i'm out of my office ~ this is very frustrating and hope to find a solution for this.

Overall, Nowsta is a great tool when it comes to our scheduling, event organization, and employee management. We are very thankful for the time it saves us and for the straightforward approach Nowsta has with all users.

Pros

So many elements of Nowsta work great! The easy-to-view calendar of events, the list of workers that populates quickly, the list of scheduled shifts, and all of the easy-to-navigate features really save us time in the Human Resources office!

Cons

Nothing specifically on the administrator level needs improvement. For mobile navigation on behalf of the employees, maybe an easier layout is needed, but I am unfamiliar with mobile navigation.

Pros

The thing that I like most about Nowsta is how easy it is to use. Our employees love using the app to track their hours & earnings. It is also easy for us to keep track of them as well! The mobile app is a life saver for catering! The employees can easily clock in and out of their shifts by phone!

Cons

I do not really have any cons for Nowsta! I have always had a great experience with it.

Nowsta has been very beneficial in saving time scheduling staffing and keeping track of staffing as per event.

Pros

We love how easy it is to assign team members to events and how easy it is for team members to accept or decline, based on their personal schedules. We love how Nowsta integrates with our Curate software! We appreciate all of the information that we are able to plug-into each event!

Cons

We do not at all appreciate that Nowsta does not offer any phone support whatsoever. Nowsta is impossible to integrate with ADP and this is a huge disappointment, as had been told that this would be an easy process. We are having to hire yet another software in order to run our payroll, again a huge disappointment, because we were hoping that using Nowsta would streamline our payroll process.
